Anyone into vinyl wrapping?
I bought a small roll of matte black wrap to do my window trim that someone stripped the black off of, anyone who owns an older Subaru knows what I mean...
I thought it was gonna be a huge pain in the ass and I'd suck and have to start vaping and pay someone else to wrap my trim, but it turns out it's easy as fuck.
These guys that charge $2500+ to wrap a car in a solid colour, fucking geniuses... you do a few of those a month and your bills are paid and you're banking savings.
Post your home job vinyl wraps guys.

Dude a 5x30 roll is enough for a car or smaller SUV and costs $200. Buy a squeegee, a hair dryer and a bottle of winded and you can do it yourself in a day

I'm in Canada, I can get that size roll for $260 + Tax.
But still, cheap colour change.
I wouldn't want to do my entire car yet, I might do the hood, roof and trunk though.
Or maybe try the racing stripes thing just for fun.
I have a 2008 chevy cobalt and earlier this weekend I went and got an oil change, and after the oil change was done, the dealership said my fuel lines were leaking and they all needed to be replaced. I was surprised by this given that I never smell fuel when driving or when getting in or out of the car, but given the danger that I read about leaking fuel lines, I decided to take no chances and have them replace all the fuel lines(with a cost of a little under $1000).
Here is where some problems start, I dropped it off in the morning to get the fuel lines replaced, and I get a call around mid afternoon from the dealership saying that they weren't able to replace the fuel lines today because their mechanics said it was too difficult to replace because of rusted parts and that they put penetrative oil under my car to leave over night and will try again tomorrow morning to replace the fuel line.
Here is what really pissed me off is that they said, because of this penetrative oil, there is a chance they may damage a part(the gas tank, I believe) and it will end up costing me more money and my car will be out longer also. I am scared that they are going to completely damage this whole underbelly of the car and end up saying that my car is undriveable.
Mind you, up until I got my oil change and they told me of this fuel leak, I have had zero problems with this car and it is running smooth as a whistle. No stalling, no problems of any kind.
But is it actually true that in some cars you cannot replace the fuel lines? I am fearing they have done irevocable damage to my car and I will no longer be able to drive it.
Also, if they do break my gas tank while trying to put on these new fuel lines, are they responsible for paying for this? Or will I have to?

>penetrative oil
It's not that they can't replace them, it's that they're rusted so bad that they've become difficult to remove.
>I am scared that they are going to completely damage this whole underbelly of the car and end up saying that my car is undriveable.
That won't happen, and would also be really difficult to do.
>are they responsible for paying for this? Or will I have to?
You will need to pay for it, although you could elect to take the car somewhere else if you wanted.

>dealership
here's a protip: never take your car to the dealer after the warranty expires
Anything can be replaced.
So what is it about the 34 Ford Coupe that makes hotrodders and collectors jizz themselves over it?
>>17567624
>good looking from the start and easy to make look great
>tons were made so easy to source parts for at the time
>plenty of room to shoehorn whatever bigger engine you could get ahold of or tinkering on the current engine
>front opening doors
Lots and lots of parts.
It's one of the only cars from before the 60s that doesn't look like a retarded piece of shit

Don't watch animu so I have no opinion on that
>>17566935
I loved it. If you try not to take it too serious and sorta just enjoy it for what it is, its a fun show. the fanbase is what ends up making the show look like shit with the constant bickering over what stage is best or why X sucks, or Y is so stupid.....
Just watch it man, what have you got to lose? time? If you would be worried about wasting time i dont see why you would be here in the first place asking this question.
Do cars actually have races or am I just autistic?
>>17566923
I ain't driving no nigmobiles that's for sure.

People race cars...cars don't do anything without people...fyi...
>don't race at le mans for 50 years
>come back and rape everyone 2 years in a row
explain this
Ecoboost technology
>come back and rape everyone 2 years in a row
They won their class in 2016, not the race.
They didn't even win their class in 2017. A 911 did.
>rape everyone
Didn't it place 16th? Also had slower qualifying times than a broken fwd nissan
My car came stock with steel wheels and hub caps which I want to replace when my current tires wear out. I just want strong light weight wheels that aren't flashy, preferably in a smaller size like 13 - 15in. And advice?

Post car
Was doing brake job, took off this brake line in pic related so the caliper could move more, put it back together but I pulled a stupid and sprayed WD-40 on the nut to kind of clean the rust off, but the bolt wouldn't lock in. Like it got tightened in and all and threaded through the back, but it would just keep going and going and wouldn't fully lock into place. I'm assuming I crossthreaded it or something, I know I'm retarded, but should I be fine leaving it like that? It was in there pretty firm and didn't feel loose when I gave it a wiggle, so yeah am I gucci?
Add a safety zip tie and call it good.
>>17566568
That plate was threaded before you pulled them out by the sounds of it, your going to have to go up a bolt size drill out the tab and plate and re-tap it, or get a longer bolt and place a nut on the back of it.
No. If it's your car then take the risk. If it's a customer's car then fix it right. Lasted thing you want is an injury case your way from shotty work.
