Why does /o/ hate Regular Car Reviews so much? He obviously has been on 4chan and more than likely /o/ before judging by subtle hints he drops (of course this doesn't really matter, it just makes a sort of familiar ground). The reviews he makes are generally well put together and informative. As well as that it is decently comedic at times. As well as liking many of the cars we like here. Only negative I can think of is that sometimes the "comedy" is fucking dumb.
Too much English major, too little car.
I don't care how this 2001 Plymouth Voyager is linked to the writing of the late Dr. T. J. Frumpbottom and his observations on the similarities between moldy bread and capitalism, and vomiting a wall of pseudointellectual nonsense at me isn't gonna make me start.
He's a closet furfag.
Nope. When asked about /o/ on stream, he said he hasn't been on 4chan since 2008.
He gets his meme shit from reddit, which a lot of people here probably are from anyway.
I know that curved design is better for aerodynamics, and thus has better speed and gas mileage, but angular, boxy designs have the best aesthetics and you cannot deny it.
So im having my glasspacks replaced at a local shop. Since my exhaust is shot to hell they would have to replace the tips and all. They said $160 for dual glasspacks with turndowns or $380 for glasspacks and dual exhaust out the back. Is this a fair price?
>>17559658
seems reasonable to me provided theyre using a quality gp
>>17559658
just order a catback off summit
>>17559658
Don't get the turn downs, it will annoy you and the heat won't escape the truck as well. Opt for out the back or out the sides. Just my 2ยข.
Meme's aside whats wrong with Chrysler as a A to B type car?
The bad transmission meme isn't a meme and it still exists, I buy lease turn ins for a large new car dealer and I'm seeing 2015s with fucked transmissions
>>17559229
People who can only afford this type of car for a day to day usually dont have the extra income to have it repaired constantly for electrical and transmission problems, even if it is under warranty then they have their car in the shop for several days of every other month trying to get the switches to switch and the transition to shift and then some dealerships charge people per day for a loaner/rental. THEY DONT HAVE MONEY FOR THIS SHIT. They can't afford AAA membership so if it breaks down further than the manufactures allotted towing distance that's out of pocket. Besides the fact that most of the people buying these don't trust the dealership anyway so they have their cousin or friend's nephew's buddy do the work witch comes out of pocket, isn't done right the first 4 times and they don't have money for that.
So if you can afford to fix the constant quality issues and gave the disposable income to go without a car for a few days a month constantly then yeah ots affordable and only slightly inconvenient.
If you are lower middle class or poor, its a huge gamble living paycheck to pay check wondering if you can afford to keep fixing your car that's in the shop hoping you dont loose your minimum wage job because you have to keep bumming rides to work for your unreliable family and friends who dont shoe or are late constantly. Now you have a car that can't get you work reliably, you lost your job because your rides were inconsistent, you cant pay the bills, you can't pay the repair shop you go to because you don't trust the warranty system that tries to drop everything on you, and you can never get ahead because you started off poor and you will stay poor because FCA fucked you in the ass again and again until your anus was bloody and torn lying on the ground dying like Anton Yelchin.
But if you can afford more than one car, have extra money to fix it, and wont loose your job when it breaks then go for it. A to B most of the time. Usually. Yeah.
I hear they're not making them anymore, because reasons
If you want a custom license plate where I live It's supposed to have a C0 at the beginning, or C with any number and 3 to 5 letters.
What dank license plate can /o/ come up with?
I'll start

What are your opinions on Triumph motorcycles?
I kind want the Street Twin. Anyone with an experience in the company products? How was it in your possession?
overpriced and trumped by jap bikes
>>17559139
But they look and sound so cool.
>>17559160
I live where they make them, where ultima is based too. You buy them because you want a triumph and like the look of them.
What do you think about the length :?

Hey /o/, I'm comfortable driving and doing basic maintenance on my car, but as someone who wants to get more into cars, I find myself getting lost when talk gets into the specifics of things. You could show me how something works and I'd understand it, but then when you start talking cambers, drive shafts, etc I get kinda lost. So I come to you today to ask: where did you learn all your car lingo / knowledge?
>>17559001
you need to decide what kind of car guy you want to be;
stance fag
ricer fag
track day fag
drag racer fag
luxury car fag
bus rider fag
eco fag
engine fag
Then you need to decide which brand of car you pledge your undying loyalty to.
This is very much like supporting a football team. Once you've decided on one brand you're locked in for life and must defend them no matter how shit they really are.
Once you know your fag type and have established a brand loyalty, type it into google images and pick your forum avatar.
Sign up to every internet forum dedicated your specific brand and model of vehicle, use the same avatar and user name on each forum (remember to put your car make, model, year, trim level and any mods you've made into your signature)
Ask a load of retard noob questions and reply to threads from five or six years ago.
Bonus points if you quote everything the other guys said, including all pictures and previous quotes and only leave a comment along the lines of "lol", "nice", or "I have this too!".
>>17559591
Bro I do this too!
>>17559001
I learned almost all of it on my own, pulling shit apart researching shit, reading car magazines.
Who makes the best SUV's?
Suv's must also be good at off road
Who has the best suv's today?
Probably Suzuki or Mercedes.
>>17558946
The G is still body on frame with solid axles and lockable differentials. If you like old school design, I would have to say the G is the best SUV today
they sound like someone is blowing their nose and then ripping a HUGE FART in between.
why do people like this?

Only the autistic faggots that follow the sound meme would pick an inferior option over dsg

Actually something interesting I've noticed when I drive any automatic Turbo BMW made in the last 5 years, and go WOT, OP. Anything from a Mini Cooper S, to a 340i, to a 535i, to a X5 35i, to a M3/M5.
I heard its a fuel cut/anti lag of some sort so it sounds sportier.
Not a picture of mine, since my phones been f'd up the past couple days.
Anyway, I honestly think I'm in love with the car, only think I dislike is that the front is so heavy.
>Inb4 underpowered
I literally never get a chance to floor it when I'm driving inna city, so I don't mind that it doesn't have a ton of horses. The torque feels bretty good though.
They're dirt cheap, engine can go 250k+ with regular maintenance. Plenty of spare parts if something does break. Not bad.
>>17558865
Please tell me it's a v6
>>17558865
Why' would you care about it being nose heavy then if you don't even get the chance to floor it? You wouldn't be taking curves at speed either in a city.
Unless you think taking an 35 mph on ramp at 50 mph is at speed, then I would say kek to you sir.
what tree is that?
Looks to be some sort of high speed / low drag tree... what's the retail on one of those?

Any of you faggots work at an FCA plant? How was it? Was there a ton of layoffs? The plant near where I live builds the 300s chargers and challengers. Fucking hate my current factory job, everyone is autistic and I barely make more than minimum wage. Pic semi related
>>17558343
Don't work there, just want one really bad so I'm bumping your thread
>>17558343
Would you buy any of the cars you make, OP? If not, what would you buy?
>>17558343
>Any of you faggots work at an FCA plant?

I was wondering what would happen if I sanded down my old tail lights then clear coated them. Anyone ever try this? Sounds like a sound plan in my head.
Did it to my headlights. Held about for a few years but needs to be redone
>>17558200
Yes I have done it and it works very well, but I would suggest removing the entire tail light to avoid overspray.
Get a 3M headlight restoration kit from the auto parts store, and some UV resistant clear coat. Just follow the instructions and you will have them looking like new again.
>>17558200
Funny, Had this idea when I was driving home and googled hazy head lights and this picture is to the exact idea I had.
