Curious to know what is shitty in an R33 GT-R. It's obviously not that fast as a 350 HP AWD but I'm curious to know what is actually wrong with it.
Pic unrelated.
Failed to live up to the legacy of its predecessor and was overshadowed by its successor. It's a strange in-between generation that while there wasn't anything particularly wrong with it, failed to meet the lofty expectations people had.
I don't like the rear lights

>Failed to live up to the legacy of its predecessor
In what way? Can /o/ for once not spout complete bullshit?
I like the Evo VIII, IX and X but I can't decide which one I want the most.
So /o/ which Evo is best Evo?

What could possibly go wrong?
Also MR2 bread
Going to buy a NA sw20.
Things to look out for? purchasing tips?
>>15152555
I would just save up and buy a turbo. I used to have the NA version of a car and was sad and had to go buy the turbo. After that I decided to just only buy the top trim of any car. Unless you're specifically looking for an NA.
>>15152555
Buy a NA one and swap a 2GR in it, that's what I would do. 280 hp naturally aspirated, and 100 lbs lighter than the 3SGTE
>learning how to drive stick
>go to an empty parking lot to practice my 1st and 2nd
>security races up 30 minutes later and says they're gonna call the cops on me
>say I'm just teaching myself how to drive
>he knows and doesn't care
Where am I supposed to practice safely?
Find another parking lot or find some back roads that don't have any traffic. I doubt every parking lot will have a rent-a-cop.
>>15152443
On the road you mongoloid.
Why the fuck are you even allowed to drive a manual if you passed you're test in an auto?
Faget
A different empty parking lot maybe? Is there not a single parking lot without mall cops guarding it?
Why does nobody about this gem /o/?

what is it exactly about these cars that makes them head straight for the nearest solid object when you press the gas?
Anything American made is designed for drag racing and that's it

none of these even go straight though

Okay /o/ I require your advice.
Looking at Chevy's numbers with respect to the Vortech 5300 LM7.
Chevy says that the engine at the crank should be making 285 hp (213 kW) and 325 lb·ft (441 N·m). I am currently making 252 hp (187 kW) and 276 lb-ft (374 N-m) at the wheel.
I don't think I should be losing more than 30 hp in transmission loss for 4L60E into RWD right?
The other issue is the AFR at WoT is 15.6. Is that too much?
The engine is bone stock save for the heads, intake and exhaust which is 2.5 inch with a cat delete.
I got all this data from 3 separate dyno pulls and I could never make a 4th gear pull due to the trans always kicking down when I went for full throttle.
>tl;dr I'm losing power in my 5.3L and I don't know where its going.
>>15152262
252 at the wheels seems fine for that
>>15152276
The main issue that I cant quite get over is the AFR. Is that something I can fix with a tune?
Or am I going to need to purchase new bigger injectors and a fuel pump to get more punch out of this?
252rwhp is about right.
a LS6 cam is a 39Hp gain in a 5.3 with a stock tune.
sup /o/?
Got this in the mail today, anyone else gonna get some wrench time or work on their car/project this weekend?
Post pics of parts and ya car and what you're gonna do.

Post any features your car has that others may not know because they didn't read their fucking owner's manuals (or perhaps you have read it, but missed something).
It has to be a factory feature and not something aftermarket.
I'm not sure about older Honda Accords, since the model I have received upgrades before the facelift, but my 2005 LX has the ability to have all windows roll down remotely - press the unlock button once and then press it again, but hold it; you can also do this on the door, by turning and holding the key (counter)clockwise.
>>15151700
I'm assuming the main reason for that feature is for convince on a hot day.
>>15151734
Or if you're a dumbfuck parent who left your kid in the car, having the windows rolled down remotely could save the kid's life in time, instead of racing all the way back to the car.
But then that will leave the kid vulnerable to kidnappers.
>>15151700
Disable the seat belt chime in Ford trucks by some combination of turning key, turning lights on and off and clicking/ unclicking seatbelt. Searbelt light will flash 3 times and then the chime will be deactivated until you re-activate it.
So now that GM fixed the Oil overheating issues, is the C7Z a good car now?
>potential disguised shitposting thread
Yes, it comes down to personal tastes in terms of looks.
I will say that the interior is worse than other cars relative to price. But if you don't mind that then it's a fine car.

The wife and I are struggling financially. If I could pay my car off, that would help so much! That's not for three or four years, so I'm going to sell my car, and just buy a $5k car if possible (I can always buy a sportier car with cash in the future). Does that mean I have to give up a sporty ride? What I want and need are very different things. If I could get a sporty sedan that gets good MPG, that would be rad, but I realize beggars can't be choosers.
>>15151421
What car? Trim level too. How much do you owe?
>>15151433
I owe 20k on a car that's worth 13k. Genesis.

Getting this shit box next week, going to cut from pillars down to make a convertible, straight pipe and spray paint. You fags can't find a better car
>>15151419
Shitboxes are loved by /o/. We like to say they have character. We beat them to hell, and they somehow still go another 50k miles. When brand new with 4 miles on the odometer, we smugly donned these vehicles "econoboxes". But they matured, such as a fine wine does. They surived to 300k miles with minimal repairs. Just like a soldier earns the Purple Heart, our "econoboxes" earned their reputation as the "shitbox". There are a few cars that will always be known as great little shitboxes: the Toyota Corolla, our beloved Twingo, and America's frontrunner, The Geo Metro.
The Geo Metro was conceived much the same way I was: during a 4am cocaine fueled grope session in the back seat of an AMC Gremlin.
The year was 1987. A few Detroit executives who were down on their luck decided that we need a car designed for real human beans. A car that would love its 8th owner more than its original buyer. A car that had seen 3 oil changes its first 100k miles, but now is pampered by synthetic blend every 2,999 miles. Sunroof? Fuck that! 4 cylinders? Nope! We want 4 wheels, 3 cylinders, 2 doors, and one goddamn good car.
Thus the 1989 Geo Metro was born. It reigned supreme for decades, much like a dictator in Asia. Jay Leno owns 7 Geo Metros in case you forgot. The Geo Metro is the only car to win at Monza, Laguna Seca, Silverstone, and Talladega. Ford and Chrysler appealed to the US government in 1990, saying that production of the Geo Metro created an unfair advantage for GM. Unfortunately for Ford and Chrysler, 98% of the members of Congress drove Geo Metros and loved them to death. The Geo Metro placed 4th in the 1992 Presidential election behind Ross Perot.
Some say the Chevrolet Aveo was the successor to the Geo Metro, but I refuse to believe. Nothing can ever succed over the Geo Metro when it comes to its main purpose: being a spectacular shitbox.
Are you going to do anything to stiffen it beforehand? You don't want it to get all floppy after you hack the roof off...
>>15151419
Why not just buy the convertible? Also I wouldn't be surprised if the car just splits in half.
