So my fiance's grandfather gifted me his 2003 grand marquis A few weeks ago when his eyes went too bad to drive himself, and he's taken wonderful care of it. He bought it brand new, did regular scheduled maintenence, and it hashould roughly 160,000 miles. Now, when I started driving it, it operated almost perfectly, with only one real problem. Every so often, if I very lightly accelerated it would lurch forward and then continue to accelerate smoothly, and sometimes it would just not accelerate at all for a few seconds, or I'd lose acceleration. I called some fuck I used to work with at a recovery shop and he said to spray carb cleaner into the air intake while it was running. I did this the day before yesterday, and since then it stopped losing acceleration but I lost almost all idle and most of the pickup. When I sprayed the Berrymans B12 carb choke and throttle cleaner in I know I got some on the MAF sensor, so today I got CRC MAF cleaner and cleaned it with that. I also got CRC throttle and intake cleaner and cleaned the throttle panel and as far as I could reach around it, and removed and cleaned the idle air control valve. Now the idle is back to normal, but I still don't get the same pickup I was getting before I "fixed" it the first time, and the engine hesitates and rumbles on acceleration, usually between 30-50 mph. Any suggestions or advice from someone who knows more than I do?

It sounds like a sensor.. probably a throttle position sensor. You can take it to autozone or oreillys and they will scan it and tell you if the computer detected a problem

You need to learn how to wrench, you need to make sure it's rust free otherwise it'll run away on you. Make sure the chain guides get serviced regularly. If it's in your budget and good condition, and you can do most of the work yourself get it man. I was looking at buying one but ended up in a much better condition g35. Good luck.

I got a Saab 9-3 for my first car and I want to fit it with a sound system and AUX cord. I have a bachelors in software engineering and build my own computers, could I fit the thing myself or should I take it into a shop?

What price ranges am I looking at with and without a subwoofer?

wiring in a new headunit is easy, so long as you get the proper wiring harness adapter/adapters for your car. I wood forgo an actual subwoofer though. Adds too much weight unless it's one of those factory systems.
I would upgrade the door/parcel shelf speakers, and maybe add some tweeters in the doors (pic related).

The headunit is one of the bigger things that will make the most difference in the sound. Remember, you get what you pay for.

Brands that are good quality to go after:
Pioneer
JVC
Kenwood
Clarion

Some /o/ users have found great success with Parrot touch-screen systems running android.

Why does BMW always seem to attract assholes? Most BMW drivers I've seen are the most intolerable sons of bitches I've ever seen. Mercedes-Benz and Audi drivers are fine. It's strange.

Anyone else follow random cars around for no reason?

>She makes right turn, I make right turn. She exits left, I exit left
>Eventually she starts to speed up and make frequent turns trying to lose me

>This continues for another 10 minutes.

>Look over, she is literally crying and on her phone
