How does one go about fixing the clutch for these, if it locks up as rpm increases
They sell the whole compressor assembly as a set, so you have one option.
Pick n pull. Go find a compressor that looks the same, crack open the clutch and grab the rubber clutch dick from it, and reverse st ps to install, hope this helps

Problem with replacing it, you need to refill it,
R12 needs to be professionally removed, R134 can be done yourself.
R12 cant be refilled, and needs to be retrofitted, R134 is easy to refill, but will cost about $120 in just coolant.
I did some googling about it and I haven't found a concrete answer Whether it's legal to import and rx7. Some people say it is some people say it isnt. I'm just curious before I go and buy one all nilly willy

Thats for cars that weren't sold here originally
>>15137533
the LHD and RHD versions have different safety things.
>>15137538
This
The import eligibility list will specify RHD
Look at the R33 Skyline as an example
Hi guys. I have a 1994 Mercury Sable wagon, exactly like pic related. My starter is now completely out and won't even try to turn over when I turn the key.
My question to you guys is: how hard is it to replace the starter on your own? Car has the 3.0 V6, btw.
Thanks for any help!

Please help.
Rather ask google to have you redirected on some of the forums, /o/ is uncapable of helping you out.

If you have no mechanical experience itll probably be a bitch to do.
and you'll probably need a jack and jack stands to get it up .

>Vision Gran Turismo
So, Hyundai Le Mans team when? Maybe that'll convince people they can build cars that don't instantly fall apart once they roll off the lot.

Oh yeah.....that..
When do you need to change your calipers?
When they stop caliping
When people make fun of you being the wrong color.
Seriously, what kind of paint huffing retard question is this? You can't be this dumb OP, I don't believe it.
Broken in a crash, can't source small parts for them, seized from sitting too long
Wankel engines seem really cool, but I guess they have problems with the apex vane seals wearing out?
It seems like there are two possible solutions to this
>make the vanes super-high-tech, e.g. liquidmetal, so they last longer
>make the vanes cheap and something you change along with the oil
Is there hope?
>>15135783
>>15135783
Probably just a better produced, better quality metal for the seals. It's been 17+ years since Mazda have actually made a new engine so I'm sure there's some technological advancements that they could make use of to make a better apex seal.

I was thinking more about motorcycles
what are some major reasons for bad gas mileage?
my car says 23 city, 29 highway
but I've been getting 14-16 on three tanks now
you need a tuneup/repair
you cant drive as good as whoever tested it
car companies like lying and it really isnt that good
all 3 can be true
specs on paper are based on 100% perfect environment. so expect 3-4 less

City driving? Driving like an ass? Check engine light?
Why do people choose to ignore car maintenance then start panicking when something costly and serious begins to break?
Do people not realize that a routine inspection when you get an oil/filter change goes a long way? It's incredible to me how some people never find out what's wrong with their car until they hear a noise or it doesn't start.
I hope nobody on /o/ does this.
>>15135445
>Do people not realize
They usually don't.
>>15135445
Also, one of the many benefits to owning a German "luxury" car. $200-$300 inspection and service every oil and filter change. I get to find out what problems I have and fix them before they turn into major issues. I take pride in paying for upkeep of my car so that it runs like a derby horse everyday.
>>15135460
>$200-$300 inspection
It'd be $700 for i1 and $900 for i2 for my BMW. If I were going to a BMW shop.
Probably $300 for an oil change.
Have you ever gotten your car painted /o/?
How much should a high quality paint job cost in the US?
I have a 2000 trans am and it's black paint is fading bad in some spots. I'd like to have it repainted black.
Is it impossible to get something done nice for under $2,000?
>>15135435
>black paint is fading bad in some spots
post a pic faggot
>>15135444
I'm at work I can't take a pic right now, but the paint is fading in a few different spots pretty bad.
Depends on who you know. I can get a quality paint job for about 1500
I have a customer with a Jag who paid like 6k and it doesn't look too great.
Oh dear

Does anyone in the chat room know how to level out a Chevrolet Silverado without buying a leveling kit?
>>15135140
>without a leveling kit
Heat up the rear springs with a torch and jump up and down on the tailgate. Mexican.

Crank your torsion bars, it will give you a slightly rougher ride but you'll be able to achieve the same thing as a leveling kit
Which is more fun on a budget - hot hatch or motorcycle?
>$10,000 car
>$1000 bike
and motorcycles are still more fun. A """""""hot hatch"""""""" is just another car
For me personally - I've already got a fairly high performance vehicle, but I want something under 5k to turn a wrench on.
Thinking a mini s/focus st/golf gti or gs500/sv650/cb500 - what do you guys think?

hmmm I would say a hot hatch would be more fun but I've never ridden a motorcycle. a quad yes but bike no
My folks are getting me a first new car, and they're buying me a Lexus CT 200h F-Sport.
How are these cars as daily drivers? Will I be bored out of my mind, or will I thank my parents later for buying an easy-to-maintain upscale Prius in the future? We've looked at everything from Civics to this, and they're really pushing me to get it. I just have to give the final word.
>>15134936
>How are these cars as daily drivers?
Pretty meh unless you get them with a loaded interior.
>Will I be bored out of my mind
Probably. Prius drivetrain.
>or will I thank my parents later for buying an easy-to-maintain upscale Prius in the future?
You might hate them when the batteries go south in a few years.
Where do you live?

It's a luxury model that is currently trying too hard to be an econobox with a sporty feel. It doesn't know what it wants to be.
I mean, look at that design. That's not a fucking Lexus.
>>15135085
Austin, TX.
The model we're looking at is the highest trim.
I'm bored. Let's get a thread of some touge / canyon vids.
No weak ass ricer shit. Good drivers only.
I'll start it off with a classic
