Hey /o/
Im going to California and renting a 2016 mustang and wondering what are some nice roads? Dont mind taking a detour/long way.
Im doing this following road trip route:
> LA
> San Diego
> Phoenix
> Grand Canyon
> Las Vegas
> Death Valley
> Tioga Pass
> Lake Tahoe
> San Fran
> San Jose/Laguna Seca
> Back to LA via PCH

Say hi to me and mr crummy when you're in vegas.
>>15140303
Ill give him a slap for ya
>>15140294
San Diego gets really twisty and fun down by Spring Valley/National City.
It's poorly lit down there though so be careful and don't die.
Unless you're talking about nice cruising roads, then they don't exist in the city. You'll be looking out near Alpine and/or Julian for a nice toe-gay that you can leisurely stroll.
Ramona roads are kinda ugly and bumpy but they're pretty nice to enjoy a vehicle imo.
Now if you're looking for scenic, just drive aimlessly around the beach area. Traffic may suck ass but you have a nice view.
>Oh great another car magazine written and edited entirely by bogans.
>We feature cars with high horsepower. It doesn't matter if the car is built cheaply as fuck with el cheapo coilovers and a replica body kit that doesn't fit properly.. so long as it has lots of power
>>15140206
>>15140178
sounds like an awesome magazine desu
Sounds p. sweet, don't buy it if you don't like it homo
Is there something as european muscle cars?
This and the Jensen Interceptor comes to my mind.
>>15181831
Mercedes 450 SLC 5.0
Does anyone else have any car related hobbies that don't involve real cars? Looking at adding a new 1/10 touring car to my fleet and was just curious if any of you had a suggestion. Talk about t/o/ys here.
basically any and everything with an engine ive been involved with at some point.
I'm collecting 1:18 models, if that counts.
>>15140101
Sure it does anon, I have a ton of 1/24 models and diecast that I have no idea how I want to display now that I've moved into my new apartment.
97 Saturn with 200k miles that passes emissions for $600? Deal or nah. I need a car to last me at least one year and have $700.
bicycle, will last a year and you won't be fat
>>15140045
I'm /fit/ though anin
>>15140051

I'd say rebuilt trans is a plus but $15,000? That's S2000 money. Guy will be lucky to get 1/3 that asking price which is probably about right.
It's not even an SH.
On another note how hard is it to get a title for a car?
This seems like a decent deal
http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/5603576674.html
Why do people hate this car so much? I was looking at one because a Miata may be too small for my needs but everyone seems to hate it. I already have an inferiority complex over drivetrains.
>>15178340
It's literally just Corey shitposting and one or two clueless newfags joining in trying to fit in.
>>15178340
Only Corey hates them, and some stupid faggot that keeps saying a Civic is beater for engine swaps, so again Corey
>"I was going to buy it..."
>"but 4chan told me it wasn't cool, what should I do /o/"?
You should re-evaluate your life choices OP
Great gas mileage, peppy response, fun to drive, cheap to operate, what's not to like?
Pro-Tip: Nothing...
>>15139872
>what's not to like?
Ugly
The bulbous design and meme ""windows"" for one.
>>15139872
GM build quality.
Get a corolla and stfu
Witch engine (6,000-9,000$) should i put in my 69 mustang
>>15175677
3.5 L ecoboost. Any ecoboost really.
>>15175677
Witches have nothing to do with engines?
>>15175677
Get a 302 off CL for $500.
Been looking for a nice 240sx for a while because I secretly want to be Iketani from Initial D.
I've seen a couple locally but just about everything I've test driven has been somewhere between clapped out drift garbage to slightly less clapped out drift garbage. However I finally found one that doesn't suck.
Actually, it's great. Fully rebuilt SR20 Blacktop, lowered suspension setup (stock geometry, no stance nation shit), great paint with no body mods, bolt in cage, RPF1's with good tread, 5 Lugs with Z32 front and rear brakes, 180sx LSD, blah blah blah. He did what every 240sx guy does but seems like he actually took the time to do it right. Wiring looks clean and for once all the goddamn gauges work. Drives like a dream. Definitely not the fastest car I've driven (stock SR20 tune), but it's the most solid feeling 240sx I've driven in the state by far.
Problem is the guy wants a lot for it. $8000. Probably too much, right? What do you guys think? What would you want in a 240sx for it to be worth $8000?
>I want to become an under performing loser
You sir, have come to the right place.
I bought mine for 4000 about a year ago, and I definitely over-payed, so 8000 is kinda out there, but understandable.
Keep in mind this is a 25 year old shitbox "race car" that teenagers buy to show off to their friends.
Post the craigslist, but so far so good.
>>15139876
>4000
>overpayed
Seems fair to me desu. Especially in that condition.
I've got a 2011 galant and changed the tranny fluid 6 months ago because I saw it was clear and black and I've been rechecking after I got it changed frequently and saw that it is just about clear again and has black particles in it. If it is my tranny failing I'm going to trade it in for something else. Doesn't smell burnt and car doesn't shift bad or slip but shifts weird
Are you sure you're looking at transmission fluid and not brake fluid?
ATF is usually red. Are you manual or automatic?
>>15139703
Automatic it was pinkinsh red after it was changed and overtime it turned clear with shavings in it. It wasn't a flush they cleaned the pan and new fliter and fluid
Also it a Hyundai tranny shared with early 2000s Santa Fes I think
>>15139742
... are you sure they put the right ATF in and not a generic?
What do I replace my shitbox (pic related) with for 10k?
>10k
another Camry
>>15139378
10 corollas
>>15139394
>mfw that actually looks okay
How bad is it to have a roadster as your only car?
Perfectly fine as long as you don't need space
>hurr durr gay hairdresser lol xd
>>15139336
From a friend of mine who owns only a z33.
"It's very impractical."
Fine if it has a big trunk and you are sinlge/gf. Undo able with a family.
Miata boi's. I'm looking at a 93 that seems to have been taken care of for $2300 bucks. The only thing keeping me from pulling the trigger is 246k miles on the motor. I've got about a grand kept back to have a new engine put in when the time comes, should I jump on it?
>>15139324
Do you have the ability to swap an engine out?
If not it's gonna cost a lot in shop fees.
Otherwise yeah 1k should be fine since you can get an engine fur like 250 dollars from a junk yard or eBay.
Also look into a poly bushing set to replace the stock old as fuck ones.
Energy suspension makes the whole kit.
>>15139353
I wouldn't be able to do it myself. I've heard of people having 1.6's swapped out for around 1k.
>>15139324
Too much money. Bring the price down a bit to accommodate the fact that you might want a hardtop ($1000 or less) and for replacing that engine eventually, plus all the other maintenance work you'll surely have to do.
You are now the proud owner of a MemeR2
what do you add to it to make it as fast as possible
no engine swaps allowed
>>15139266
Reduce weight.
/thread
>>15139266
convert it to super stock
>>15139266
Keep it stock. Make it pristine.
