As far as I know right now the Miata is fixed. We've arrived home but I don't know about him (Jose) as we became separated at the bottom of the mountain. The car seemed to be running fine and the new hose was still attached.

Glad to hear the repairs went well. Its always a bummer when a mechanical gremlin screws up your day. That's part of owning a crapcan racer though. While you upgrade it, don't forget to check basic stuff like wiring, hoses, and cables.

The G proved to be very capable with the suspension, brake, and tire upgrades I've made in the last several months, so I was pretty stoked. This sadly may be the last meet it goes to, as I'm planning on selling her and getting something newer in the next couple months. If that's the case, this was a great send off.

The auto in the g35 is pretty fucking good actually, and I think it learns your driving style and will shift aggressively when it needs to. Tips are optional. if it's no optional its not a tip, it's part of the price.

For instance the places that charge you 15% gratuity for parties over a certain size, they aren't charging you a tip, they are applying a large party penalty in addition to your meal. And because it's not actually a tip, the restaurant doesn't give all (sometimes any) of it to the waiter/waitress.

Service was pretty ok so I don't mind the "suggested" tip, although I probably would've tipped 20% or more if it wasn't enforced.

With the G35 auto, he used the tiptronic and was in 2nd or 3rd the whole time. It ripped along much better than I thought it could
