How does one get over the desire and thirst to own exotics and wealth in general?

I want to own and drive one of these and just feel superior to everyone. I know it sounds narcissistic but I drove a Gallardo a couple times and just felt like a King. I felt like I was rightfully above everyone. Like everyone was just an ant I was a beetle. Everyone stares, gives you thumbs up, talks to you and worships you basically.

So based off the original pictures and the other images and discussion everyone here was saying, I decided to trade in my (100 000km, 2010, 2WD, I-4, Auto, Chevy Colorado with underside rust) for a (Ford Ranger 2010, 150 000km, AWD, V6, Stick shifter with some body rust.
I've owned the 2010 colorado since the 2010 but didn't actually enjoy the act of driving until just this week and decided I needed an AWD for the north Canadian winters. I still needed a truck due to HAZMAT material moving procedures so the plastic bed is my only option.

Traded both vehicles in for the valued pricing and the Ranger's A/C literally just gave out. A coworker thinks I got ripped off because the breaks, body, and all that shit is going to go to shit in the next 2-3 years.

How do I prevent these things? They should reliably wear out less than Chevrolets post 2005s but it looks like the method of driving may or may not be the best.

Is this buyer's remourse? I really just wanted a vehicle to temporarily drive until I graduate school and get enough money/ insurance experience to pay the insurance on a business AND leisure vehicle.
