So, my car has a hard time starting pretty often. Not every day, but often enough. Recently, the Traction Control System has been flicking on, and making my car stall out or sputter. Then rpm gauge is also acting odd, and feels jerky to drive. Pic unrelated

I'm curious, /o/.

What is wrong with leasing a car? Why do you guys hate it so much? Let's forget the cuck memes and put aside the demographics of the typical leaser and get to the bottom of why leasing itself is such a bad thing to you guys.

Get a nissan hardbody truck. Don't get an American truck; you won't be able to call AAA when it inevitably breaks down

American v8s are very reliable. 7.3 powerstroke and the 5.3 vortec are both very good engines.

Is this car green or yellow?

I was watching this youtube video and some idiot in the comments said "lol who would want a yellow GTR?" The car is clearly green right /o/?

I had one for a few months. Until the bolt that holds the start motor in also goes through the engine mount sheered off for no reason when starting the engine one day. It had done like 180k with 18 owners so I didn't expect a lot

“Two years ago I found an image of a kid with her hands covering her face. A seat belt reached across her torso, riding up her neck and a mop of blonde hair stayed swept, for the moment, behind her ears. Her eyes seemed clear and calm but not blank, the road behind her seemed the same. I put myself in her seat then I played it all out in my head. The claustrophobia hits as the seat belt tightens, preventing me from even leaning forward in my seat. the pressing on internal organs. I lean back and forward to release it. Then backwards and forward again. There it is—I got free.

It’s been a year since I moved to London, at the time of writing this, and there’s no practical reason to drive in this city. I ordered a GT3 RS and it’ll keep low miles out here but I guess it’s good to have in case of emergency :) Raf Simons once told me it was cliché, my whole car obsession. Maybe it links to a deep subconscious straight boy fantasy. Consciously though, I don’t want straight—a little bent is good. I found it romantic, sometimes, editing this project. The whole time I felt as though I was in the presence of a $16m McLaren F1 armed with a disposable camera."

"My memories are in these pages, places close-by and long ass-numbing flights away. Cruising the suburbs of Tokyo in RWB Porches. Throwing parties around England and mobbing freeways in four project M3S that I built with some friends. Going to Mississippi and playing in the mud with amphibious quads. Street-casting models at a random kung fu dojo out in Senegal. Commissioning life-size toy boxes for the fuck of it. Shooting a music video for fun with Tyrone Lebon, the genius giant. Taking a break/reconnaissance mission to Tulum, Mexico, enjoying some star visibility for a change. Recording in Tokyo, NYC, Miami, LA, London, Paris. Stopping in Berlin to witness Berghain for myself. Trading jewels and soaking in parables with the many-headed Brandon aka BasedGod in conversation.

I wrote a story in the middle—It’s called “Godspeed.” It’s basically a re imagined part of my boyhood. Boys do cry, but I don’t think I shed a tear for a good chunk of my teenage years. It’s surprisingly my favorite part of life so far. Surprising, to me, because the current phase is what I was asking the cosmos for when I was a kid. Maybe that part had its rough stretches too, but in my rear view mirror it’s getting small enough to convince myself it was all good. And really though…It’s still all good."

Niggas got good taste in cars.

Bitch ass nigger GF want a new head unit in her car. I personally only use older models in cars I've installed them, because they're not as cheap/tacky looking. However, she doesn't care about how disgustingly plastic it looks, but it needs to be able to play Spotify, and change songs without touching the phone. Also has to be single DIN because car design.

What can I do?
Does a standard Bluetooth unit let you change songs?

I used it on my intake manifold when it had a crack. A year later, when I got rid of the car, it was still holding strong.

JB Weld is quite good. If you use epoxies correctly, they work and last.
>>
>>15671888
It's never failed on me for non-heated or non-moving parts.

Anything that I've put it on that was heated or moved did fail.....
>>
>>15671888

It cracks when you use it on a moving part, like in a leaky joint on the exhaust, and also because you used too little of it or mixed it wrong.

Used right and it is almost as durable as a weld

My car decided to shit itself today.

I was driving down a road and shifted to 2nd and suddenly lost power, the car kept bogging down and having next to no power no matter how hard I stepped on the pedal eventually stalling.

Now it won't start, it cranks but won't turn over.

My intake hose is secure, all my fuses are fine, what could it be? I had to be towed home.

Could it be my clutch no longer engaging or perhaps my fuel pump?

Car is a 1995 Corolla.

how bad are ex-taxis really?
they seem to have all been maintained however is there a point in which maintenance simply cant keep a car running?
especially a taxi that has usually been driven hard by Indian imigrants

A friend of mine has a $2k budget...

I'm considering recommending an ex taxi, ripping out everything that is not hard plastic in the interior, replacing the seats from a wrecking yard and giving everything one hell of a deep clean then spray painting it...

Is he Indian? If not, don't buy.
>>
You'll get a 12 year old commodore falcon Magna camry for that much with less than 200k km which will still have another 12 years in it of shit box motoring.
>>
>>15671755
from what I've read, Taxi companies dont maintain cars, they literally take out old parts and put in brand new OEM parts
from what I've read, they will actually be 90% okay and feel normal
but that last 10% are parts that will just ruin the drive of the car and will need replacing soon

good thing with the falcons are that the I6 engine is basically bulletproof.... but 500,000km's is a long way

you are damn right about the interior though

think about everything from 20y/o's puking to girls on their periods to much... much worse from stories I've heard

strip EVERYTHING that could possibly soak up a liquid

It was Geometrically simple while remaining efficiently functional.

Then in the 90s computers became powerful enough to allow for the accurate simulation and design of alien-looking organic aero
>>
>>15671485
They looked like machines. New stuff looks too artsy. This guy gets it.
>>
>>15671453
It was the early stages of aero where it was more about what people thought was aerodynamic, not nearly as much wind tunnel testing was done if at all, and there were engineering constraints to what they could actually build as well.
