how many of you guys actually leave your car in first gear when you park?
i only do it on an incline.
7 times out of 10 i stall my car when i leave it in first when i park because when i start my car i take my foot off the clutch after i start it. its muscle memory for me.
>tfw mom, and sister leave their cars in first when they park everywhere they go
>me and brother leave car in neutral when parking
what does /o/ do?
pic unrelated
>always put it in neutral
>dad parks it for the first time and leaves it in first
>almost run through the garage door because i started it and thought it was in neutral out of habit
fac

Almost exclusively leave it in neutral and use hand brake

thats what im saying. only on an incline am i putting it in first.
>just got my first speeding ticket
>already lost the will to live
talk me out of it /o/. i haven't just lost $200 tonight. I've lost my confidence. Now there's pigs around every corner, every car is an undercover cop, theres speed cameras on every intersection. How do I recover from this?
>>15743328
Drive like a normal human being from now on and save your squirts for semi-rural roads.
>>15743335
Will do, officer!
>>15743373
People like you are disgusting. Stay off the fucking roads faggot. If you don't, I hope that you get your license revoked after you fuck around too much.
Hopes? Expectations? Worries? Memes?
I'm sure the chassis, handling, interior, and steering feel will all be great. I'm just worried about the transmission, exterior styling, and of course, the engine. If Mazda can learn from the ND's glass tranny and fix the rotary, I'm sold, even if I can barely afford it.
They should offer a Veilside kit trim straight from the factory
>>15745573
If they manage to stuff a relevant rotary engine inside the hood it'll be an great achievement in itself.
NA would be great, but turbo would be nice enough.
But realisticaly I only care about a new MAZDA 3 MPS, since I wouldn't be able to afford a brand new RX-9.

I am fairly new to driving and have only driven cars with manual transmissions.
Now I want to learn how to drive an automatic, my license allows me to this but my only experience with them is riding shotgun twice.
>What do I have to know?
>What are the common mistakes for a beginner?
>I have heard that that you can accidently slam the brake and cause an accident, how do I avoid this?
D is forward.
Engage handbrake, let it set, THEN put it in Park.
Do not move your left foot, I have almost done the go-for-the-clutch thing myself. Do not shift from D to R or vice versa while the car is in motion just because it lets you.
>>15746268
Is putting it in P the same as when you put a manual car in first gear while parking?
i've never heard this
>you can accidently slam the brake and cause an accident
or this
>Engage handbrake, let it set, THEN put it in Park.
I hit a deer.
I couldn't find it on the way back. I hope it found it's way under a shady tree and died peacefully

Not a confession thread, but close enough.
I was about 3k away from buying the car I wanted and I was certain by the time I saved up it'd be gone, so I went a few towns over to a popular bar street around last call and purposely rear ended a drunk driver. I just got my insurance payout and I'll be getting my car in a few days.
How bad of a person am I?

What's with the blacks driving these crown vics. I truly do not understand black car culture identity. The only patterns I've noticed is they like huge cars and shiny shit.
They generally spend lots of time in those cars so they're going with something they're familiar with
>>15741938
The only time I've seen them in Crown Vics were in the back...
>>15741958
Lel. Around here almost every crown Vic I see is driven by a black. And yes they are usually old police cars. The only thing I can think is that blacks love big lincolns and Cadillac but they are too poor for it so they buy up all the old crown victoria because they are huge and cheap.
Hello /o/.
Do you name your car? Do you refer to it as him or her? Why?
>>15738991
her because female determiner (?)
refer to it as "Zitrone" - german for lemon because it is yellow

I had my car for 4 years.
I named it Brad, I loved Brad.
Then I totaled him, both of us have been through everything together.
2 girlfriends, 3 jobs, nothing can replace Brad.
Then Liberty Mutualâ„¢ called, I broke into my happy dance.

Same here. Me and my car have been through everything. He was always there
>drive a taurus
