getting a gift for a friend
does anyone remember the name of the website that sells car branded watches that matt farrah (iirc) shilled once?
>car branded watches
Might not be a good idea depending on what kind of watches your friend likes.
>>16877595
he already has a maserati watch
>>16877607
And he wears it regularly? Alright, disregard my post.
What are the consequences of putting bigger wheels on your car? I was on tirerack and there are optional wheels that are far bigger than the factory. But I've heard in the past that it's not a good idea. What's /o/ take on it? Does anyone have any personal experience doing it?
worse acceleration
worse mpg
speedo will be off
can make handling worse
can make the ride more harsh
>>16877348
I though bigger wheels made the ride smoother?
>>16877376
not when you end up with too low of a profile tire
youre usually fine going +2 inches

Hey /o/, I need some advice. I currently have an almost stock 04 RSX-S, and I'm thinking about changing its visual appearance. I'd like your advice on whether or not tein coilovers would be a good idea, and would a Thule/Yakima roof rack with a fairing look good? Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks
Pic is similar to the roof rack I'm thinking about getting.
>buying a roof rack for the looks
You're a goddamn retard.
>>16877691
I'm actually gonna put skis on it when the season comes lmao
>>16876959
If this is your everyday driver, tein coilovers are fine if you don't mind being more careful around speed bumps.
>roof racks
Unless you're going to actually use them, you're a fucking idiot. The humming from yakima roundbars will drive you insane above 40mph without a fairing, and even with said fairing, you're still going to get a lot of wind noise.
Redpill me on the Nissan Altima... i plan on getting one soon used so what year is best if i dont know how to fix cars myself?

Just bought a house. Would Ryobi be a good brand to invest in for home stuff? They have a drill/driver combo with a third battery promo going on at the moment. I would eventually need a sander, saw, trimmer etc.. and the lineup looks cheap to get into.
Thoughts?
>>16872661
I've got ryobi one+ gear and for home shit it's perfect. Don't listen to the autistic cunts on here that think you need $10,000 worth of tools to fuck around at home.
Ryobi a best
>>16872661
If you like cheap stuff.
Get it if you dont have any or are gonna use it for light use once a month jobs other wise spend the extra 1/2 bones and get something beefier
Ryobi is ok for light duty use it once in a while stuff... Makita, DeWalt, and Milwaukee will be more sturdy... Buy an extension cord and real tools for anything other than drill and driver.
The apocalypse has happened and you are now in the world of MAD MAX!
Your current daily driver has miraculously survived the nuclear holocaust, but fuel and parts for it are now incredibly hard to find! What do?
They made the engine for nearly 40 years, and the platform lasted over 30, so I doubt I'll have much trouble finding parts.

How much difference would I feel from adding an induction kit to my standard Ford Mondeo 2.0 2008?
I don't have a lot of money to splash out, but I figured if it was worth it, this would be a good way to spend the extra money I have this month.
Are factory performance accessories worth it?
In my case in particular, I have a Yaris and I'm wondering if a TRD sway bar would help.
how do i clean fart stench out of my seat?
>>16864653
You mean a cold air intake? You'd probably notice no power increase.
>>16864652
Depends on the part, a thicker sway bar would improve cornering but won't do much if you still have the base stock shocks and springs.
>>16864653
What material is the seat?
What's up o my hood is rusted like pic related how would I go about fixing it? How much would it cost to do myself?
You could just get a bunch of sandpaper and a couple of cans of spraypaint and do it yourself, would probably be under 50 bucks.
Sand all the rust off, then spray on primer, base coat and clearcoat. Since it's just the hood you could just take it off so you won't have to mask anything.
>>16882029
Ty anon my honda will appreciate it
it looks pretty sweet, i'd leave it alone
>base model will have a 110hp diesel
COME THE FUCK ON, THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
>this will automatically come out of the exhaust each time until 60mph are reached
>>16880250
How are they still in business? Most of their recent cars have been shite
>Take a Honda
>Engine swap with a diesel lawn mower engine, slap Peugeot logo on it and call it a "new car".
Anybody have an opinion on the 2020 Bronco?
If it looks like pic related, then I would definitely go into denbt for it, but if it looks like any of the following I'll be thinking twice.
>>16880230
this one is shit
>>16880230
this one is less shit
>>16880230

Once, it was my father's benz though.
taught me and my dad a big lesson to never leave a luxury car parked all by itself in a depraved ghetto neighborhood.
My dad broke mine off while trying to set it ajar so it would trigger me
In the Philippines taxis drive with their hoods slightly ajar to prevent the engine from overheating. is this a legit practice or is it just ridiculous? will this actually prevent overheating?
http://philippinefails.blogspot.com/2017/03/driving-with-hood-open.html
>>16879843
>will less restriction of the airflow to the cooling system help prevent overheating?
Idunno anon.
Why do you think it wouldnt?
>>16879851
because of the engine gets too hot for a light breeze t cool it?
thats why there is a radiator. if driving like this could really cool the engine then why have a radiator? it seems counterintuitive at best and like magical thinking at worst.
If your car can't hang the front wheels, it's fucking weak.
If your car can't turn, it's shit
if your car can't fly, its shit.
If your car can't time travel, it's shit.
