Ryobi is ok for light duty use it once in a while stuff... Makita, DeWalt, and Milwaukee will be more sturdy... Buy an extension cord and real tools for anything other than drill and driver.

They made the engine for nearly 40 years, and the platform lasted over 30, so I doubt I'll have much trouble finding parts.

Depends on the part, a thicker sway bar would improve cornering but won't do much if you still have the base stock shocks and springs.

What material is the seat?

You could just get a bunch of sandpaper and a couple of cans of spraypaint and do it yourself, would probably be under 50 bucks.
Sand all the rust off, then spray on primer, base coat and clearcoat. Since it's just the hood you could just take it off so you won't have to mask anything.
