what do you think when you see cars with blind spot mirrors?

I never used to use them but after driving my mum's car for the past year due to NEETdom I got used to it. they're really handy when parking

bought my own car and feel funny not having them anymore

would they look gay on a WRX?

my new car came stock with them. pretty useful honestly. Not really needed but they are convenient
>>
>>16888851
Adjust your mirrors properly. Cars don't have blind spots.
>>
>>16888863
I do adjust them properly I usually have mine point as outward as possible.

I just find them useful for letting me know I am between the lines when parking or for the curb when parallel

Do any of y'all have a Japanese license plate on your car? What's the point of them? Is it to show how dedicated the driver is to true JDM or is it just a weeb thing?
14 posts and 6 images submitted.
>>
in my yuro country it's illegal to have any kind of plates other than gubmit issued ones

also why? i imagine the driver is a massive weeb and wants to show off his virginity, jap plates aren't even nice looking

As long as the governments don't lay a finger or make taxes for manual/non-electric/non-self driving/ older cars the future is looking pretty ok.

How is police in your country?
Poland: their effectiveness is measured by amount of tickets given so they always try to get you on slightest shit, for instance, high quality road between big cities, 150 meters of some piece of shit village, they set up a speedtrap there and catch you for driving even 60 (90 kmph outside urbanized areas, 50 inside. small villages still have 50 limit).
if you dont drive extremely careful during last days of month (trying to get more tickets to fit their monthly quota) you are bound to get fucked.
when it comes to hooning you are fucked too.
https://youtu.be/f8JksoIUdMY?t=20
vidrelated lost his license for "extreme endangerment of traffic", meanwhile people can cause car crashes or have completely excessive speed like 40 over the limit and only pay money.

Depends where you are. Out in the country cops are mates. I once did over 130 in my commodore, and I didn't even lose my license. The cop just said to go somewhere quieter to speed.
In the city I've heard they're pricks, but I've never been pulled over.

Really relaxed, except around the end of the fiscal year when they need to boost their numbers. They only stick to the major highways (mostly) so you can cruise on good road at a nice pace. Also if you're nice and good at small talk they'll let you go with a warning.

hey so I'm tired of getting fucking speeding tickets, fucking bullshit it getting expensive. gonna trade in my 2013 fiesta se for a 2005 crown Vic and some change. my rational is basically that cops are less likely to pull me over since they'll probably just see me and just think oh it's sgt Jason going to catch that perp better leave him alone. anyways I tried to rally my fiesta but it didn't work too well. right now I've got it on 19s and a lift kit but I'm lookout for some ideas for the Vic. anyone ever rallyd these things before? thinking about 22s and a lift kit to start, also some of those really cool lights that I can put on the roof that blind the fuck out of deer.

>>
>>16888112
I have one, and you're dead fucking wrong. They'll go out of their way to fuck you over.

However, if you're driving one of those brown-ish lincoln towncars, you're damn safe. They're the same car, anyway. Just needs a 2" lift.

>getting tickets in a rally car
I don't get it, rallys are usually on closed roads, where EMTs are on standby and shit. Why would cops be in the way of that? Unless you're a moron speeding on random highways and calling your car a rally car. I don't think a fucked up crown vic on 22" tires and roof lights are going to scream "sgt Jason". Besides, most departments have switched over to new Fords or Dodges anyway.

>>16888164
I drive an 03 town car, love it, same drive train as the crown vic. I took it offroad into the mountains many times, it has amazing climbing abilities. However, I baby it no matter what I do, I couldn't bring myself to use it as a rally car.

I'm used to a stripper model '96 Passat, so just about anything with a somewhat decent stereo, air conditioning and room for a decent aftermarket head unit will do.
Don't even need power windows, although they're pretty convenient I guess.

And as >>16888060 said, auto dimming mirrors would be nice.

Go Japanese for used. Kia and Hyundai are now good cars, but best through a dealer so you can get the warranty.

Stiffer front springs might help.
You could also just put wider tires on the back to help the rear keep traction when you lift off.
