Anybody hate how fucking riced out and busy new cars look? Side skirts, grilles on the bumpers, exaggerated fog lights, swoops and unnecessary curves and body pieces... Look at the new Civic Hatchback. Looks like a tactical mall ninja went ham.

I know you are supposed to leave your car in gear when on a hill, but is there a reason you are supposed to leave it in 1st and not a higher gear? Wouldn't it be more difficult for your car to roll in 5th gear than in 1st?
62 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>16942226
no, because the gears are going the other way. same reason lower gears slow you down faster
>>
>>16942237
He is right. The lower gears have more torque to keep your car from rolling backwards. The higher gearing will hold your car, but not as strong
>>

Would you rather have a $1,000,000 house and a $100,000 garage or a $100,000 house and a $1,000,000 garage?

I would rather have $1,100,000 to spend as I wish.

I dont see the point in large houses or large garages

both are excessive and wasteful

but I guess Id sell either option for 1.1 million to use how I wanted

Okay rust is taking over the rear drivers quarterpanel on my 2001 Corolla VE. I sprayed Rust Check red on both sides (passenger side not so bad) but it's really creeping up the drivers side. I need car to last 2 or 3 years still wat do????

Assuming its only surface rust, sand it down to the metal and spray paint over it. It will look like shit but better than having your car rot away.

What does /o/ think about the 2013-2015 Mercedes C250, specifically with the sport package? They seem really nice and fairly reliable, and they can be had for ~$20,000 with very low mileage.

Need new shocks.
This brand is on sale. Steep price difference. Guy at auto parts counter says they're good, and the price is low because they're made locally. I mean, I can get a pair for $60. The more expensive brands are going to run me about $400.

Would recommend

My family used to own an auto parts store. We used to joke that Monroe came leaking in the box. Get KYB's. I ended up getting them off rock auto for $40 each cheaper than anyone had locally.
>>
>>16941656
you're the first person to say this. generally people say this brand is bottom-feeding shit. i will assume you've installed some of their more expensive models.

should i really belive that a pair of $30 shocks will perform as well as shocks that cost $400+ dollars, that are also made in usa?
