Batter was replaced two weeks ago
Car was worked on by dealership three days ago.
Oil was changed last month

When this picture was on, was the engine running or was the key just in the on position?
>>16944988
check the dipstick
>>16945001
the engine turned off, I was parking and it just turned off like it did at the red light before.
Was still on "D" and key was still on [ON]
what are some of the best handling mods you can do?
tires and sway bars
tires and lowering. sway bars are overrated. your car already has them. they don't make as big of a difference as being able to lower your COG.
>>16944834
Not that guy but they can. It depends on your car.
What does /o/ think of the north american SX4 by Suzuki.
I was thinking of getting one and installing, coil-overs, Turbo, new ECU, New Brakes, and a nice pair of tires and [non rice lime rims].
I'm planning on making into a rally/track car.
So what do you anons think, what are the major problems with this car ?
>>16944606
Still a commuter car no matter how much dress up you do
>>16944606
Meant to say:
non rice light tires
I like them. A LOT.
I think they are underrated as fuck.
Pic only slightly related.

>never drove a manual transmission
how would i do this?
>>16944560
its not funny how many times this thread has been made on /o/
use youtube to teach yourself how to understand how to operate the clutch and the transmission. Either practice on 5 speed econobox on craigslist.
Also use common sense.
>>16944578
would it be a good idea to test drive a manual without ever touching one beforehand?
>>16944584
no don't be that asshole who fucks up their clutch, also next time take this shit to QTDDTOT
Hey /o/,
So my LS 400 is nice and all but I think its time to move on. I'm going to stick with the LS, but going to upgrade to a LS 430, certainly with the UL package. Anything I should look out for? Anyplace specifically I should look? What mileage do these cars start to fall apart? What's a fair price for one?
>>16944538
Bump because I'm also thinking about a 430. That design aged well, thing looks way newer than it is.
>>16944538
I have a friend who tried to kill himself in an LS430. He drove off the road around 90, rolled at least 10 times, broke a telephone pole into 3 pieces, and he walked away with only a broken hip. The car was an unrecognizable heap of metal and bad decisions. Take that for whatever it's worth.
Also just look at kbb if you really want to know the value.
A non running UL just went for 1500 this morning on ebay

I bought a 91 ford years ago it's older than me but I love it 270000 miles on
I've had it for 200000 miles now and everyone says get rid of it
$4000 invested insurance cost more than the truck ever did ignoring gas
>>16944328
I've got a 1969 International that I love. People's reactions to it range from "I love it and want to talk your ear off about old trucks" to "Why the fuck do you drive that heap of shit".
It's a 3 speed on the column with a 345 V8. Fun to drive, and unique.
Look great but $4000 insurance cost wow
>>16944328
wtf i love ford now
Ok i'm really wondering what the everloving fuck happened here.
i picked up (pic related) a 2014 Mustang. now i ran the vin through a vin decoder site (https://www.vindecoderz.com/) and it comes back as a Mustang GT . but wait. ti's got a v6. how the fuck is it coming back as a GT with a v6. now one would say maybe the v8 got ripped out. BUT THE VIN DECODER SAYS V6. The rear badge does not say GT on it.
special order? Someone mokeyed around with the records? Did such an animal exist? or is the website just fucked giving wrong info?
You're using a gay generic Vin reader that isn't 100% up to date. Learn how to read the VIN yourself.

there ya go
One way or another you got ripped off. It's definitely a basic V6 Mustang that's been monkeyed around with. On a side note, it looks exactly like the fake GT V6 Mustang I decided not to buy, but I think that was a 2010. You sure this is a 2014?
Bit of a backstory on the situation.
Bought the car from a dealership clean carfax no accidents in 2012 with 78000 miles and now it has about 92000 miles. Everything pretty much went wrong despite the little I drove it.
I had owned the car for four years and have had close to $20000 worth of work done in terms on parts and labor I spent about $2000 (not including basic maintenance)on my own money in parts and labor not covered by my warranty. One year alone had 8K worth of parts and labor under my warranty. Also, I had $800 since owning the car in deductables. Had a new steering rack, AC unit and water pump put in after a massive coolant leak this year alone. Basically had an entire new front end, supercharger, gaskets and suspension in the four years of ownership.
As a recent college grad with a part time job, I could not afford the car anymore especially without a warranty. I had a repair alone that cost almost $4000 which was mainly labor in one shot which was covered by warranty which expired and I could not handle the costs anymore. I have student loans to pay off and the car had been nothing but issues in the time I had it.
I babied the car despite all of its problems, always used synthetic oil, premium fuel also known as 93 Octane as required, detailed it frequently and waxed once a month. Its a real head turner and looked brand new. Too bad its been nothing but problems
Put the car on Craigslist, then took it off after too many shady calls.
Finally listed it on Auto trader and Cars.com for over three months and lowered the price but no calls either. Sold the car to a dealer and got more than I was expecting. Dealer could not sell the car for months and lowered the price more than what they gave me. Finally sold it and I cant help but feel bad for the next person who owns the car and the next repair may cost more then what they paid for the car.
I am happy though I got rid of that POS Moneypit, Sucks to be the new owner though.
Yep Sucks to be new owner. Lol
What do you guys on auto think about this post?

Buying my first car, and after some research, I have been eyeing a CPO ex-rental with less than 15k miles on it. Another option is another CPO ex-corporate fleet car with less than 20k miles.
Given the above, which is the better buy? They are of the same make and model.
>>16943402
check the car fax. how many owners, accidents, and its service history its had.
>>16943402
Corporate fleet car will probably be in better condition.
Ex-rentals are a good way to buy relatively new cars for a good price. Usually they keep the maintenance on a good level because obvious reasons. Just watch out for the door panels and on the panels on the trunk door if it's a hatch - they're likely going to be scratched.
Actual car /o/wners, where do you prefer to get your tires changed?
These are the original tires on the car and I've never had to have tires changed before as this is also my first car. I know Walmart does changes but I would rather submerge my car in vaseline than bring it there.
Pic unrelated but maybe in the next month it will be.
Discount tire or Les Schwab
my garage
I use Tire Rack to find a local installer with good reviews and decent price.
