HEY /O/! First time poster here.
So, I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. I currently own a 2012 Toyota Corolla that my parents bought new for me out of college.
It's been a pretty fine car, it was actually my first. Never broke down on me in the 5 years I had it except the battery dying once, which was a $350 fix(!)
However, it's getting up there in miles (109,861) and is supposedly gonna need brakes and front suspension work done soon.
My dad seems to think it's time to get something new but this time he's giving me the choice to pick out what I get. He will be cosigning on the loan since I can't really afford it all at the moment haha.
We're a Toyota family, and going back to when I was born my parents haven't owned anything else. I can't imagine owning anything else but my friend Ari is reallllly into cars and stuff has been trying to convince me to buy a MAZDA.
I've driven his Mazda on several occasions and had a fucking blast doing so. It was just so zippy and fun to drive. I think it's a Mazda 3 but I don't know for sure.
I've done my research and have narrowed it down to the Toyota Corolla iM and the Mazda 3 Hatchback. They both about the same cost wise, but that shouldn't be an issue with my $30,000 limit. Which do you guys think I should pick? I really, really, liked driving my friend's Mazda but I also have an allegiance to Toyota and know there's nothing more reliable than a Corolla.
Or, if you have any other suggestions shoot them at me. I'm a pretty open minded guy.
The only requirements I have is that its 1.) Under $30,000 2.) Has 4 doors 3.) Has a manual transmission 4.) Has a decent amount of storage room, which is why I'm looking at the two hatchbacks.
And before you ask, I've already read the sticky. I'm not willing to take the risk on buying a used car and know my dad wouldn't cosign the loan on one anyways.
Thanks in advance.
Buy a 3k civic and shutup.

Stick to the nismo juke my dude
Yeah that rubber is thin as fuck. Never noticed that. Would look nicer with some more meat.
>>17057031
This is a Type R
You take it to the Track
You don't drive this on the street
You're probably looking for an SI
So I got nabbed by a D.C. speed camera and they sent me the bill of $200 for such a heinous crime of doing over the very appropriate limit of 25mph right on an off ramp of the highway with a quarter mile cross street-less stretch of 2 lane road.
Have any of you had any success fighting an automated ticket? These things are not for safety, only for muh monies. Why do we put up with this shit? The camera was in a spot that would in no way create a dangerous speed related incident, rather, a very convenient one as to maximize revenue generation.
>>17055528
Northern Virginian here. I fucking hate driving in DC. Thank fuck I don't work there.
If it makes you feel any better, I've got ticketed twice while parked in front of my own fucking house. Revenue-generating cocksuckers.
Ask for the camera calibration certificate. They'll drop it immediately.
>>17055528
It's ridiculous that I-66 still has a 55 mph limit in most places. Everyone just goes 70 anyways. West of Manassas it's bumps up to 65 so I go 80 lol
You literally can't
>>17054743
Get Fucked
>>17054743
I remember these and I remember them being way overpriced.
So you think this is the beat the auto industry has to offer?

American here. Did you guys have an era of shit cars starting in the 70s like us?
>>17054716
Nope. Our "smog era" cars didn't hit until 81, even through to the late 70ties you can pick up some pretty powerful muscle cars.

Hey /o/, I'm an incredibly successful and attractive MGTOW male looking for a car. The trouble is that I don't want something that appeals to women. In fact, I want something that would make any woman immediately lose interest in me the moment she sees it. What is the perfect car for the redpilled MGTOW alpha male?

Hey guys,
I run a small business delivering food, I have decided that a wagon is a good choice for my needs, but I don't know which one to get.
This would be my first car and I don't know the first thing about them. My budget is up to 6500 CAD and based on the sticky, I am looking at the following two:
>Volvo V70
or
>Subaru Outback/Legacy/Forester
Need the car for transportation of cargo, as well as camping trips with gf
Need help deciding, thanks, /o/!
>>17052576
If camping is planned, as old, cheap, and well maintained a forester as you can find.
Saab 9-3 sportcombi aero is really cool. I'm looking at a 6 speed manual on Friday.
What kind of food are you delivering?
>wow it revs really high
>quick and responsive handling
>light weight
>excellent power to weight ratio
>open to the elements
It's like a sick motorbike except slower and ten times the price...
There are benefits to having 4 Wheels you dingus.
