>Along with the primitive plumage, the 99-million-year-old amber also preserved soft tissue and eight complete vertebrae. The tail bones indicated that the specimen belonged to a dinosaur that was not a prehistoric bird and also provided researchers with insight into the evolution of feathers.

>“This is the first time that skeletal material from a dinosaur has been found in amber,” Dr. Xing, who is a paleontologist at China University of Geosciences in Beijing, said in an email. He and his colleagues published their findings Thursday in the journal Current Biology.

>After performing a CT scan and microscopic analysis, Dr. Xing and his colleagues realized that the feathers did not belong to a bird because the specimen’s tail vertebrae were not fused into a rod, as they are in modern birds. The feathers most likely belonged to a baby nonavian theropod, meaning it looked more similar to a velociraptor or Tyrannosaurus rex than to a modern bird. That said, it was probably only about the size of a sparrow.

Most people see only "I'm going to die anyway so I may as well be lavish, pollute and waste, esp. when I can die and leave the debt and poisoned earth for other people to worry about."

Too many "want" to see destruction rained down upon everyone: one would be too many.

Others are trying desperately to suicide by junk food, booze, pills, by texting driver while texting walking/reading, by police, by sky-diving, by driving fast...on and on. Exponential suicidal behavior: and success, too, usually extremely painfully and extremely terrifyingly.

Yearly, weekly, etc., stats have been skewed, but the trends show the truth: all the political "self-praise" for their "successes" have been LIES.

Exclusive: Top U.S. spy agency has not embraced CIA assessment on Russia hacking - sources

The overseers of the U.S. intelligence community have not embraced a CIA assessment that Russian cyber attacks were aimed at helping Republican President-elect Donald Trump win the 2016 election, three American officials said on Monday.

While the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) does not dispute the CIA's analysis of Russian hacking operations, it has not endorsed their assessment because of a lack of conclusive evidence that Moscow intended to boost Trump over Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, said the officials, who declined to be named.

The position of the ODNI, which oversees the 17 agency-strong U.S. intelligence community, could give Trump fresh ammunition to dispute the CIA assessment, which he rejected as "ridiculous" in weekend remarks, and press his assertion that no evidence implicates Russia in the cyber attacks.
Trump's rejection of the CIA's judgment marks the latest in a string of disputes over Russia's international conduct that have erupted between the president-elect and the intelligence community he will soon command.

An ODNI spokesman declined to comment on the issue.

"ODNI is not arguing that the agency (CIA) is wrong, only that they can't prove intent," said one of the three U.S. officials. "Of course they can't, absent agents in on the decision-making in Moscow."
The Federal Bureau of Investigation, whose evidentiary standards require it to make cases that can stand up in court, declined to accept the CIA's analysis - a deductive assessment of the available intelligence - for the same reason, the three officials said.

President Park Geun-hye began what could be a six-month period of seclusion at home after being suspended from her duties with the National Assembly‘s approval of an impeachment motion on Dec. 9.
Park rested at her official residence for her first post-impeachment weekend on Dec. 11, sources said. She also reportedly summoned Blue House advisers to the residence for a “tea time” after the impeachment vote, with some suggesting to her that she should “take a rest for now.”
“The President was physically and mentally exhausted, and her advisers actively urged her to focus on resting,” said one attendee.
Park also spoke with Cabinet members before the tea time.
“I used to wonder what people meant when they talked about ’shedding tears of blood‘ [a Korean expression for intense hardship], but now I know what that means. I really am shedding tears of blood right now,” a tearful Park was reported by one attendee as saying.
Some Cabinet members also reportedly exchanged tearful goodbyes with Park. In connection with the recent scandal over government interference by confidante Choi Sun-sil, Park reportedly expressed feelings of “betrayal” to her associates, saying Choi had “always been mild-mannered and quiet in front of me.”
On Dec. 10, Park watched the seventh round of candlelight demonstrations on TV and met with attorneys at her official residence to prepare for the upcoming special prosecutor’s investigation and impeachment trial, sources said.

(CNN) — North Korea has furiously rejected United Nations sanctions, accusing Security Council members of being puppets of the United States.

The defiant statement Thursday came as both South Korea and Japan announced further restrictions on the state, including on visits by foreign missile and nuclear experts.

The Security Council voted unanimously on November 30 to impose their "toughest" sanctions yet on North Korea, stopping about $800 million in exports including coal and copper.

The new restrictions came in response to North Korea's nuclear warhead test in September, its fifth and potentially most powerful yet.

In the statement, North Korea said many countries that are members of the United Nations Security Council had already conducted their own nuclear tests and missile launches.

>"Obama and his lackeys are sadly mistaken if they calculate that they can force the DPRK to abandon its line of nuclear weaponization and undermine its status as a nuclear power through base sanctions to pressurize it," the statement read.

Then, in mid-November, Facebook again said it was making changes to its tools, updating its metrics “to give our partners and the industry more clarity and confidence about the insights we provide.”
