If you want an honest answer, it's just a bunch of inconsistencies. Generally whenever Fatima don't wear their bizarre costumes they're indistinguishable from 14 year old girls (in the FSS Universe). But when they do wear them, they magically lose 30 pounds and become walking skeletons. Even then this isn't always the case, like in your pic. It's because whenever Nagano draws a new set of clothes, he'll often update the character lineart with it. Sometimes the character lineart doesn't even look anything like the actual design from the manga.

The Ball was a stopgap to quickly produce SOMETHING to fight mobile suits before the GM was made.

The Ball is simply a standard space pods with weaponry and armor added on. Basically, it was the cheapest thing they could make for space combat.

Additionally, Ball Type M (mine layers) was actually the bane of Zeon battleships. A single team of them was so much of a problem that Johnny Ridden and his squad personally had to stop them.

Same thing as the tank.

It was available and easy to produce.

Also, the Balls appear after the One Year War in various materials.

Though, despite these qualities, it wouldn't have won them the war if they had relied on it alone.

Especially since the Federation had a fleet of 17,000 warships (supposedly, I want to see that in writing however) and lost most of it' Magellan class and Salamis class ships in the opening weeks of the conflict.

This week did a lot more to endear Alice to me than the previous, the "date" with Rei was pretty damn cute. The horror was a little goofy looking but the transformation was stunning and I appreciate more service training with Rei

I finished seeing Garo Makai Senki, I found it better than the first series, more epic, more developed villains and having more persoangens that are better used, even the common case episodes are better than the first season.

Tougen no Fue was one of the gayest movies I've ever seen.

I liked the series of Zero, even with some potential wasted, but I still do not understand why women can not be Makai knights.

The "guerilla war waged by a team of Gundams" idea was a good concept.

Heavyarms is still one of the best AU Gundam designs ever even if a mobile suit that requires huge amounts of ammunition is a really stupid idea for a guerilla war when beam weapons are clearly available in the setting.

Huh, I've known about this for a while, but the similarities to Giant Robo never struck me.

That being said, Mighty Robot is okay but not stellar. Pilkey's got a pretty good sense of humaor, and though my memory of the books might be failing me, the Mighty Robot books struck me as having a bit less of the wit of Pilkey's other work and they were much more straightforward. Still fun, though!
