Will they write literature about this man?
Are there any books in which the protagonist dabs on the haters?

Your my BOY blue! Is this man worth documenting in history l?

I know we have a /crit/ general, but why not a /writing/ general?
The absorption and creation of independent and thought provoking speech should, in my opinion, be our greatest goal.
So what say you lads?
I completely agree anon but most of /lit/ comes here for validation and anything that could possibly combat their tiny minds poses a humanitarian threat.
Anyway, what shall we discuss through dialectic means.
Sounds good. I'm currently almost done with a novel, and am planning out my next one.
writing uses letters
started reading IJ today. pic related (page 223) is the years in which the story happens, chronologically, from 2002 to 2010 (each chapter-title being 1 year)? so its a good idea to go to page 223 every new chapter to see the chronology, right?
*really sorry to make a whole thread for this, rip other thread
If you want to. Tbh I didn't, only went back once in a while if I was curious. The only real important thing I found was always immediately reading the footnotes when they came up.
you read 223 pages in a day?
yes that's the chronology spanning 2002-2010. i don't think you'll need it, it's always there for reference but it's pretty obvious approximately when something is happening most of the time. there are little teases and jumps in time but the main narrative progresses linearly.
Have you ever been so /lit/ you frightened and disturbed someone?
I quoted Shakespeare a few times to the girl that I date raped. I've always wondered if it soured her on Shakespeare.

We got a wubermensch in here...
>>9783556
I met this girl a while back, we got along well enough and eventually she invited me to her place one night after work. I mentioned that i liked to read and she beamed "Me too!!" and asked me if I had read "The Alchemist". Needless to say that was the end of that... She called me a few times and I remember that she was hurt and confused, and not too sure what had happened. I sure dodged a bullet there.
What do you guys think about this book? Would you recommend any others like it?
Politically I am completely neutral and just willing to learn.
it's pretty good look at labor history and civil rights, although it doesn't cover any lgbt struggles and when asked why not howard zinn weakly answered "well i'm not gay so it never occurred to me to cover it" but he's not black and still covered civil rights, so what the fuck kind of excuse is that?
ur history is boring haha

I'm 20 years old and I've never studied philosophy. It's difficult for me to read books, I understand lectures more easily. Tell me about the good channels on YouTube or courses on Coursera/etc.
I know about these guys:

Jay Dyer/Jays Analysis.com is great and heaps on geopolitics and film among the theology and philosophy lectures and essays.
Can you rate my poetry please?
Levels
Dark and deep are the cracks and crevasses
Frightening is it’s atmosphere, yet somehow inviting
The surroundings are unforgivingly jagged
It has the appearance of fortitude but with mere pressure,
The walls turn to residue
However, up there is a different territory,
It has a sense of regal nature,
The space feels like property,
Yet, bewildering enough for me to make it my own
I think that is where grace lives
Sometimes I hear calls, beckoning me over,
But I just can’t seem to make the travel,
Inside, I know I am too much of a foreigner
Down here is my home, where I am familiar
This place, this most inhospitable place
For my reasons only,
Is my favourite place to stay.
post it you stupid nigger

C-Can we talk about W-rm?
>Tfw no board to talk about worm.
>To /lit/ for /co/ to avoid bitching about if it comes up Even though Chinacartoons get posted all the dang time.
>(update)aaaand now it gets auto 404'd based on the worm keyword.
>To /co/ for /lit/ to touch with a ten foot pole.
The sequel is coming up in a month from now. Who do you think is going to become the main baddy now that the yellow space whale is dead?
I may not support your show but I will fight for your right to shitpost about it.
Godspeed fellow anon
>Who do you think is going to become the main baddy now that the yellow space whale is dead?
Whatever was making the Endbringers.

Name 20 books where this happened
>got home from my extremely low effort white collar job at 5.45 pm
>mindlessly browse internet for 3.5 hours
>going outside in to central London for no reason other than maybe eating junk food and browsing internet on phone
>aged 26
>zero social life, ugly loser beta no one talks to at work, never had female attention ever, can't give up junk food or coffee because they dull my ennui, tortured by the sight of Chads and Staceys everywhere, no passions, go to gym but too ugly to reap social rewards, read books mainly out of a feeling of being held hostage
>extremely blackpilled, know women get 500 tinder matches a day with Chads, society considers me a disposable battery, I'll never fit in with normies because of ugliness and lack of normieness
>make enough to save £200 a month after expenses yet know that higher paying jobs I apply to will fill my time with shit and I will look back on today with nostalgia and regret
>procrastinated learning programming and (more) maths for over 4 years
I can't believe I think this: Maybe staying completely non-Spooked all the time wasn't such a great idea after all. If this is "real life" then I need some sort of mentality or ideology that can help me.
Is Ayn Rand good?
My (rigorously) reductionist outlook leads me to see all philosophies as vacuous pep talks. I abhor theory. I have epiphanies in evenings about simple, all encompassing possible life philosophies for myself that I cold implement to find success ("Have constant challenges", "Focus on a few things", "Do what you enjoy"). I set reminders on my phone for this the next day yet always find myself seeing them as stupid. The underground man is like me. But I have to accept that "default me" may be a fucking zero motivation waste of a life.
If I followed my tastes and intuitions, I'd give up most books within 10 pages.
You need religion.
Ecclesiasties followed by the gospel of John.

Isn't it depressing how common this is now? Is there any media that addresses it?
People like to make fun of him for writing primarily in blog format or being half-Jewish or not believing in biology or whatever but can anyone name someone who has contributed more to political philosophy in the last couple centuries? Keep in mind Hobbes wrote in the 1600s and Machiavelli before then.
John Rawls.
>>9782879
Is this a joke? Rawls isn't a philosopher, he's a hired liberal apologist.
>>9782879
I guess you weren't aware of Moldbug BTFOing Rawls into oblivion.

What exactly are you accusing Dellilo of, here?
What /lit/ related magazines, webpages and youtube channels are there?
>what arbitrary shit can i do instead of reading?
Casperreview is pol trying to be lit, there's taktak.nu, there's twitter accounts associated with them, a handful of /lit/ posters have youtube accounts but probably wouldn't appreciate being posted in this thread, there's the litcord and pinkycord and whatever the fuck else ...
