But it's also important to have trans pride so we can have things like informed consent and accessible hormones in countries that are not the US. Also in many countries trans people still can't transition or are murdered by their family or their bf/gf (usually trans women murdered by bf) so we need to change how people think and pride is a first step in that direction.
