So is "stockpiling" weapons and ammo illegal? I know they were breaking fed law with homemade explosives but is just having weapons/ammo and armor illegal now?
The media wants to imply it is. Or imply that only psychos have that many.
You know, demonizing gun owners like the Nazis demonized the Jews.
>>27567685
What do you think OP?
Sounds like they got arrested for making explosives, and then one of them had a FA/SBR/SBS/DD as a cherry on top.
>>27567685
Its not illegal to horde weapons or ammo nor is it illegal to make explosives

>35 dB - 42 dB noise isolation
So could these also double as hearing protection while out shooting? Serious question btw.
Dunno, try it yourself. Or just buy purpose-built earpro because that's actually meant to be protection.
It blocks noise from 35-42 dB, it doesn't reduce it that much. If you look on their site, they say that all of their ear plugs are rated NRR12. They claim that the rating is bullshit and their plug real world is NRR20, which might be enough for most outdoor shooting, but I wouldn't really trust them on that.
Impact sports are rated nrr22, and it's fine for most outdoor, but you'd still need to double up with plugs for indoor or loud guns. If you don't want to double up, then look for something at least nrr30. I've never had to double up on the Peltor H10A, but I hate wearing them.
i just wear skull candies when i shoot. Gotta blast um real loud too on account of how deaf i am.
Eurofags,
Where do you get your accessories from ?
All the cool shit seems to be limited to Amerifags.
Any adresses?
>>27567285
Accessories are pretty easy to buy in Europe except if they are magazines, suppressors or flash hiders/compensators.
The euro market is very limited, I can't find much other than Magpul, CAA, ATI and UTG accessories. The best American accessories such as free floating rails for ARs and ACE stocks for AKs are unheard of around here, whenever I go into a gunshop the people there don't even know what I'm talking about. ITAR really is a bitch.
Only alternative : Israel. Fab defense makes decent accessories for several weapons, and websites such as zahal are more than willing to sell to Europe.
>>27567285
A lot of firearms accessories are restricted by ITAR from being shipped outside of the U.S.
Wouldn't want you to buy something that Ahmed can get his hands on before the next batch of refugees land.
So does /k/ know of any first focal plane scopes that are in the mid range, and have a BDC for AR-15s?
I was looking around at scopes, and even the ones with BDC tend to have SFP reticles.

Norden crs is the only answer. Vcog is pretty good too, but doesn't illuminate the entire reticle. Excellent glass though

Before we go further I guess I should have made it clear. I am not looking for a lot of magnification. I am looking for something with 1-2X up to 8x at most.
This will be on a more tactical rifle, and not a precision one.
Sup /k/,
German guy here.
With the recent influx of refugees and increased violent crimes I've been considering personal safety.
I'm on track to get myself some guns but that will take a year until I am actually allowed to own one at home, rather than keeping it at the range.
Until then, I need something else that I can keep around for self-defense.
I've heard CS gas is pretty shit since it doesn't work well on some people, and sprays in general are often less effective than people think. I've also read about RAM weapons, pistols that shoot rubber bullets, but I'm not sure if they're a good deterrent. Crossbows are another legal option that I can own, but I have no practice with them and wouldn't be effective at actually using them.
What would you recommend?

I'm unable to at the moment. Believe me that's my plan. If all goes well I'll be living in either the states or Canada in two years.

For long range applications say 1000 yards.
With equal rifles which out performs the other and why?

Creedmoor. Higher pressure max, higher velocity for same weight projectile, more efficient, true short action. Swede is pseudo-long action, kind of sits at a point between long and short action. A lot of people get autistic about having short, stiff actions, but it doesn't make that much of a difference for accuracy, depending on how the bolt locks up. But, still, it is a factor that the Creedmoor beats Swede at.
Swede is basically just better for cheaper factory ammo.
6.5x55 has quite a bit more potential if you load your own.

Noguns from a nofunz country here. I only get to shoot at licensed ranges.
I was thinking about getting some black powder gun (as anything constructed before 1885 or replica of 1885 weapon is unregulated here). Is there anything you would recommend?
I was looking at Remington New Model Army .44 replica, but I have no experience in this area, so it's just the popularity that caught my eye.
The 1858 is probably the best choice. Make sure to get a steel version, and buy a spare cylinder
>>27564943
Brass framed looks nice but its pretty weak if you want to do a lot of shooting. Brass trigger guard us ok though. 1858s by Uberti are pretty solid. I wish you the best luck OP, are you in Hungary by chance?
Thanks guys, that's what I'll go with then. Any rifle you would recommend? I love me some rifles.

Can these guys defend themselves from an invasion from a country like the USA/Russia/china?
Honestly, against Russia? I imagine them holding out decently.
China? I imagine China would fare better than Russia.
US? Probably would just be like another Gulf Storm.
I imagine they would immediately go to ground and just get working on an insurgency
If Iran does have something like a 'doctrine' for fighting against the US, it'd go:
1. Burn your uniforms
2. Start burying AKs
3. Start digging tunnels

I was thinking about buying a semi/bolt action rifle as a first gun, and trying to decide on which chambering I should get based on effective range v.s. cost. Mainly thinking about 5.56x45mm (AR most likely in this case), 7.62x51mm, .300 Win Mag, or .338 Lapua Mag.
I'm mainly thinking about it for target shooting and maybe (but very unlikely) hunting.
Opinions /k/ommandos?
For the general first question, is this the first gun you will have shot or the first to buy? And how much experience do you have shooting already? I can already tell you .330 WM and .338 LM are out of the question for a first gun.
Savage axis chambered in .308 Winchester. It's a 300 dollar gun that will do well against any game in North America (although a bit low for brown bears).
No reason to get a Lapua unless you know you're going brown bear hunting in Alaska.

Are hipoints really bad or is this another k meme? I may be looking to buy a hipoint 45 from a local pawn shop.
>>27563028
They're unwieldy.
Other than that, they're great guns. Just they kinda have an association with lower income individuals..
Most of them function fine. It's pretty hard to fuck up a straight blowback gun.
Either way, there is an unlimited lifetime warranty even if the pistols look a little ugly

Looks don't matter a lot to me.
What's up /k/? Just picked up pick related from the local ffl for two reasons: it was on sale for 80 bucks and I have a plan for it. I want to tacticool the shit out of it for shiggles. Any ideas? I already want to put a tactical stock with pistol grip on it but I want to go full retard on it.
Also, can anyone confirm if I can replace the original magazine tube for an extended one? The Google has me lead to believe I can only nigger-rig it if I want it to hold more than two rounds.

>Also, can anyone confirm if I can replace the original magazine tube for an extended one?
Take off the barrel. If you don't know how, learn how, google it, then do it.
Look at how the mag and barrel relate. A longer mag tube wouldn't fit with the original unmodified barrel.
It would be possible to get the barrel replaced or modified, to allow for a longer mag in your gun, but it would be cheaper to sell your mav88 and buy one of the models that's higher capacity in the first place.
