I own a few guns, but dont have the money or space to buy a safe or fancy cabinet. Currently storing them in Hard cases under my bed. Besides oiling them up, anything else i can do to fight rust during long term storage? thinking of buying one of these silicone gun socks (pic related), i hear they keep moisture out. any other methods that can help?

Take them out of the cases

Lanolin or other waxes.
If you use Ed's Red with the added lanolin it is very rust resistant. Straight lanolin works as well.

I use those silicone gun socks and they are absolute life savers. I live in an incredibly humid area where guns with poor/average finishes will develop surface rust overnight very easily (have had it happen to an SMLE and a O/U shotgun). With these socks and some gun oil though I have never had a problem.

Also silicon spray. I have to leave my guns for ~3 months at a time and I always soak them in this shit, just have to wipe it off when I get them out again but I've never even seen a speck of rust. You can also get dehumidifiers for safes.

nogunz and broke as fuck here. Want to buy a .22 without breaking the bank. The bank is VERY easy to break. What should I be looking at? Bolt action? Single shot? Is semi-auto totally out of the question if I want to stay cheap? Should I look at used? Is a pawn shop a bad idea?

very good rifle, can be had for around $150 give or take

Pawnshops are like any other used place. You gotta check the stock. Some have ok deals, some are selling lemons.
>>
Marlin model 60. I saw a few recently going anywhere from $70-135

You can usually find them online for cheap.

Alright, I'm trying to get rid of my Taurus 9mm for a .45. Right now I'm torn between Springfield and Glock. I have about a $600 budget. I went and held both of these guns and I didn't have a problem with either. I need some pros and cons for both. As added info I'm eligible for the blue label program on the Glocks.

What do, /k/?

>>27560405
XD has a grip safety that is pointless and will get you killed. Blue label pricing on the Glock means you can get it, some Trijicon HDs, and an Apex extractor and still come in under budget.
>>
Don't believe cucks who tell you a grip safety will kill you. I have an XDs .45 with thousands of rounds through it and zero times have I pulled the trigger on a full chamber and not heard a bang

>Don't believe cucks who tell you a grip safety will kill you.

Ignore this.

Grip safety = you're a dead man.

Does anyone have experience with this gun?

For the most part this seems like a very appealing surplus gun, but I've read several people's accounts that claim they'll jam with heavy ammo and that they can't be carried with a round in the chamber for fear of an AD. Someone else claimed iffy reliability because they were originally chamber for 9mm Largo rather than 9mm Luger, which sounds fucking ludicrous. Any first hand accounts are welcome.

Parts....

They work, but: Mags, firing pins, extractors. The gun is butter-soft.

No, being chambered for 9mm Largo doesn't make them any more reliable as a 9 x 19..

I'd use one if that's all I had, but I'd rather have a Colt.
>>
>>27560049
they were originally chambered in 9mm largo in the star model B, when they changed to luger they changed the name to super B.

It's true. I had one and sold it for this exact reason, it was constantly jamming. Just save your money and get a 1911.

They're a cult OP, the more questions you ask, the more questions there will be. Remember that time Kahr almost fucked over the entire firearms manufacturing industry? Me too anon, me too.

What would /k/ say is the best gauntlet to use as a punching weapon?

Your own fists.

Punching with anything in your hard or on your knuckles is asking for you to break some bones, and not your indeed target's bones, either.
>>
>>27559582

you know that boxing is more dangerous with gloves than bare knuckle right? If you don't have a base layer of protection you will break your own hand.
