I got this recently from a Mongolian dojo after getting my white belt, what would make a good complementary right hand weapon? I'm thinking something like a P90 (yeah I can hold that with one hand, don't diss pls)

Looks like a sig rifle with a new York "grip spur" to get around the bullshit laws.
Pic to the left is a hypothetical nation whose borders currently lie entirely within the "accepted" territorial boundaries of Somalia. Specifically between The Jubba river and the Kenyan-Somali border.
It lies within a region called Jubaland that is under the de jure ownership of the Somali Federal government but whose rural areas are under de facto control of the terrorist group known as Al-Shabaab. The area is fertile & well supplied with water thanks to the Webi Jubba river that flows into it from the north, the southern reaches get an additional influx of water from the Shebelle river which flows in from the South west.
Despite an over abundance of wild game & fertile soil the area is fairly under populated with the area of interest, Jubaland's administrative division of Lower Juba, having an estimated 380K inhabitants situated mostly in the three largest cities and their surrounding areas. These being cities being Jamame (150K), Afmadow (40K) & the coastal city of Kismayo(180K). The rest of the population lives in farming villages near the Jubba river that survive on subsistence agriculture.
Federal military presence in the district is limited mainly to these 3 towns and periodically to the roads that connect them. The Somali military currently has no effective Navy, the Jubaland area has no significant air resources situated in it & one Air base large enough to launch jet aircraft. However the Somali government has 140 tanks of which 80 are outdated MBT's (Centurion & T-54/55's 40&40) and 60 Med. Tanks (T-34, 85mm variant). Arguably more dangerous are the 400 APC's, both tracked and wheeled, that are deployed throughout the country as needed.
Using mercenaries & veterans from western nations involved in Iraq, Aghanistan and the war on terror how would you go about establishing a nation state in the area? What funding would you procure? How would you gain legitimacy and what weapons would you realistically bring and equip your men with?
>>27573340
>inb4 unrealistic
Nigger make it realistic, this is the 2nd most unstable area in the world, if you're getting a chunk you're getting it here.
Brainstorm how

This is a pic taken at one end of a bridge over the Jubba River at the town of Bardera (2°20′N 42°17′E), to get a feel for the size of the river.
Locations of the 3 largest towns are:

>Jamame

I have a question, I am applying for my firearm purchasers card in NJ. The form asks if I was arrested as a juvenile. I was for weed, my question is should I lie and hope they don't notice or tell the truth and probably not get the permit?

Whether you are comfortable breaking the law and maybe not being able to get guns afterwords is something that only you can decide on.
>>27573139
>Move out of NJ to a free state
>Get all the guns you want
vs
>Get caught up in some felonious NJ state mafia trap shit
>Never get guns legally ever again, anywhere
I know what choice I'd make
Haven't seen a /k/ related comics in a while so I'm just gonna post some, feel free to contribute if you want.

What does /k/ think of the MX series of rifles?
>>27570974
Looks too heavily photoshopped for combat usage.
they confuse the shit out of me since they all have buffer tubes apart from the MXSW? they just seem to be glorified AR-15's to be honest.
What do I think?
>6.5mm Bullshit Fantasy Wank Caseless
Thats what I think.
WW2 was the last major conflict that cavalry was used. But I can't help but wonder, should we rethink that? Not as a major part of a military mind you, and as mounted infantry (Dragoons) rather than as true cavalry. For certain areas it seems like uneven terrain cavalry might seem like a good idea. Like Ski troops are for special terrain and climate
According to Wikipedia the Chinese have mounted guys patrolling on of its borders. And I have heard of stories of US special forces on horseback in Afghanistan. Not too mention a lot of irregular troops for tribes and militias that exist.

Horses are comfy as fuck when compared to walking the same distance with the same amount of gear. The biggest issue is fodder.
Too exposed and if you fall off your horse you could break a limb and end up being a sitting duck for your enemy to shoot
>>27571062
We have bullet proof vests again, right? Outfit them with modern cuirassies and give them mechanical horses to ride!
I am looking for a butterfly knife trainer before I buy my benchmade to practice flipping but I don't know what is a good quality trainer to start with. Any recommendations?
>>27570205
Just buy one and tape it faggot.
>>27570228
I don't want to damage the blade being a jackass. I was hoping to get some experience first, should i just buy a cheaper real balisong like bear and son?
Just buy real balisongs. I got a butterfly knife when I was 10 and they're honestly not all that hard to use.
>want to start shooting
>gun license is hard as fuck to get here

Picked up a FEG PJK-9HP for $175. It has an interesting history. I was used in a crime and made it to the ATF for testing. They removed the firing pin and cut it. I need to find or make a new firing pin for it and I should be good to go.

Hey /k/, what do you guys think of the OH-58D Kiowa? Anyone here have experience with him (flying or CAS)?
Like the appendix, it once had a function that was vital. Over time, however, that purpose has been shuffled to other pieces of equipment. It remains but it's original function has been long forgotten.
If they were giving them away cheap, I'd definitely pick up one. Imagine the fireworks show you could put on by filling launcher tubes with roman candles and mortar fireworks for new years and independence day.

Rip ;_;
Kiowas aren't anything special.
The pilots on the other hand...
Alright, /k/, today, I'm starting a new thing.
I was in my room, doing the coolest things ever, like jerking off and drinking Mountain Dewritos.

What is this rifle? It's a single shot and looks like a Martini Henry to me.
It has writing that looks like Egyptian to me on the receiver.
>>27567893
That's because it is. Based on the text on it looks like it may be a Nepalese rifle but I'm not certain

Looks like one of those IMA Nepalese imports.
Is it possible to get a modern cartridge to fire out of a modern gun loaded with black powder ie 5.56/7.62?
hypothetically speaking and maybe a stupid question. But can you use bp in say a ar15 or such? I'm just getting into reloading and thought it would be neat to have clouds of smoke while shooting.
>>27567851
Yes but it probably won't cycle. You might be able to install much lighter springs.
>can you use bp in say a ar15
I'm going to take a guess and say no. For one thing I'm not sire that there would be enough pressure to cycle the gun, and for another the reason that you get a big cool cloud of smoke with BP is that there is a lot of unburned particulate in the smoke when burning it, seems like that would foul up the gas port or gas tube rather quickly.
If you figure out the right amount of powder it would work fine, would foul up a fuck of alot quicker though, can't imagine an AR last more than a hundred rounds before you need a thorough cleaning

When you redneck to the point where you no longer have hands, chances are you are a good shot.
I had an optometrist with one normal hand and a nub with a single finger. That finger was fucking insane and he used it to teach me how to work contacts.
