Gentlemen, right now, there's a Change.org petition on removing the Hughes Amendment.
https://www.change.org/p/united-states-congress-repeal-the-hughes-amendment-of-the-fopa
Only 5,305 petitions left to sign out of the 10,000 required. If this means that we have a chance of repealing this amendment, it's worth a try.
signed out of blind hope and naivete
Signed, and fingers crossed

Well, hope is hope, nonetheless. Thanks for signing.
Hello /k/, I'm extremely new to the idea of purchasing guns online as opposed to in-store. What are some reliable sites to brows? Pic related, it's the only gun I would even bother buying online.

Prices are sky high though.
What will the front lines of ww3 look like /k/?
>>28031697
>>28031697
Couldn't say at this point. I'm more worried about the whole brownshirt police state America has become. The military industrial complex along with the prison industrial complex and how both feed each other are more of a tangible threat than a possible ww3 scenario. Luckily many states are moving to slowly declaw the federalized brownshirts like legalizing marijuana or passing constitutional carry or similar. It's a slow process but the police state doesn't disappear over night.

hah, ur a funny guy
Ok /k/ lets see your HD ammo stash...all types welcome but shotshells preferred
>>28031691
And ofc it posted upsidedown...
>>28031691
Like this
+5 00 shells in my mossberg, and 30 more arriving hopefully tomorrow. As well as a loaded mag of .308 softpoints next to my PTR, and a mag with 20 rounds of OTM 5.56 next to my AR.
Are modern budget bolt action rifles better than WWI and WWII bolt action rifles at the time?
Certainly the superior technology makes a better and cheaper rifle, right?
>>28031417
What do you mean by better? They're not made to do the same things, even if they're both bolt action rifles.
>>28031436
/thread
>>28031417
Mauser > Enfield > every other cheap bolt action.
and that depends on your definition of cheap.
Is ZenitCo Furniture worth the hype/money?
>>28030856
No. Its just shit made in Russia so people who are self-conscious of looking like a mallninja buy it so they can claim their rifle is still in keeping with the Russians.
>>28030889
This to be honest.
/thread
>>28030889
Yeah, that's why I did this to my SLR.
Why don't they make Glocks out of a light aluminum alloy?
>>28030782
Because you touch yourself at night.
>>28030782
Then it wouldn't be a glocknade, it'd be a glipebomb

any of you kommandos have advice for cleaning up a bolt? Im not looking for a mirror finish by any means I just want to clean up my M39 bolt to get rid of some of the spots and gunk. already tried ballistol and a microfiber
pic related kinda
>>28030683
This will do you right. I polished a 91/30 bolt to a mirror finish in about an hour using a microfiber cloth and a bit of Mother's.
>>28030683
I like flitz, but personally I would leave the rifle as is
>>28030930
Did you notice any improvement?
So I got a really nice springfield M1 Garand at a gunshow last week, and I've already burned through my meager supply of ammunition. I've looked around a bit, and this ammo
>http://ammunitionstore.com/products/30-06-ammo-145gr-fmj-wolf-military-classic-20-round-box.html
seems to be the best deal.
My question to you, /k/, is whether or not this is going to cycle and feed properly, or fuck up my extractor. I've been hesitant to buy steel case since I bought 400 rnds of herter's 223 and I shot about 15 rnds and they all jammed up.
Normally, I'd just buy one box and try it out, but they're having a sale for 11$ a box and I need to know whether or not to get a shitton or just hold off.
Advice? And I guess this makes it a QTDDTOT, so QTDDTOT?
Google that shit and see what people have said. Or buy a box and see how it shoots.
>>28030696
The sale they have ends soon m8, or that's what I'd do. Google has produced poor results
This is like, someone buying a Corvette
and then wanting to know if they can cheap out and put 87 octane in it.
Personally, if I had the money for an m1 Garand, it would never touch filthy foreign ammo.
Has anyone here shot a S&W 500? Ive been thinking about buying my dad a 500 revolver for his 50th bday, but dont know if the recoil will be to much for the old man.
I know its a monster round, but having never fired it i dont know if people over exaggerate the recoil or if it really is uncomfortable to shoot.
Yes. It's a big bitch. I can shoot it one handed. It's not uncontrollable but it is more expensive to shoot than anything.
>>28030560
.44 mag would be better
I sure have. With the compensated barrel though. It's a quick, forceful rearward jolt to your palm. Then the momentum kinda keeps it moving rearward for a tad bit longer. That's about it. Not bad at all. A titanium frame snub nosed .357 is worse. In fact, I would let my gf shoot the 500 before a .357 or a sub compact .45acp.
Now... the non-compensated models, like the one you posted, those supposedly are an entirely different beast.

Anyone on here own one? I've yet to see an American L85 owner, do you like it?
I don't think civvie versions of those exist, and if they do, I don't think any ever made it to Freedomland.
>>28030551
It's fun when you hold your weapon for the first time, after a while your weapon becomes your worst enemy, until you have to use it to shoot an enemy lol.
>>28030570
Some did, saw one on gunbroker a while back.
Ok guys was laying in bed talking with my wife about home defence, we both have our own shotguns that i keep loaded with winchester oo buck
Anyways we got to the point about dindus breaking in and as such taking them down...my question being is IF an intruder survives both me and my wifes funs then can i legally make them pay for any damages? If not would you recommend slugs instead? My wifes shottie is a pump and mines semi auto.
If they survive, they can take you to court in a civil setting...Which is why you're usually taught to shoot to kill in a CC/firearms course for SD/HD
>funs
>dindus
Oh, nevermind. You've never taken a firearms course in your life, I take it.
>>28030578
Nope but i plan to in the next month or so...the laws in oklahoma are a little strange to say the least
I would say keep with the buck shot for indoor settings, make sure you train with your designated ammunition. Also, chances are if you shoot them center of mass the will not live. If you have to defend yourself in such manor, don't worry about who is footing the bill,
now, take your firearms course, and invite your wife to as well.
What does /k/ think about lights on a CCW?
Pic related.
>>28030505
makes the gun bulky, added weight, harder to find proper holster and if I need a flashlight I don't want to take out my gun
Ive tried it before, not really worth it IMO. Maybe a car gun or HD, but I feel like im wearing some batman tier belt set up when I tried to carry it
>>28030505
I carry with a weapon light. It's really nice to have, isn't really any more uncomfortable than carrying without a light, pros are you have your light and gun together so you can have a free hand, reduces muzzle rise, lots of lumens at your disposal etc
>>28031200
>take out gun for flashlight
So carry a handheld light? What would you do if you didn't have a light on your fun?
thinking of getting a compact pistol.
>sub compact is too small but i can deal with it
>standard is too big
id like 7-15 round mag capacity in 9mm, for under 400 usd, im looking at the glock 19, ruger lc9, and the kel tec PF9.
what would /k/ recommend? also im not interested in revolvers because i think mag capacity is king, unless /k/ can help me find a small .357 mag for under 400.
basically i need a pistol smaller than a standard size with a relatively high mag capacity in 9mm, unless its a .367 mag for under 400.
thanks anons
I carry a keltec p11. Its accurate, cheap & durable. I dont wanna be out of anymore than a $300 pistol after its confiscated after a DGU resisting Dindu trying to culturally enrich me.
With those options in mind the glock 19 is leaps and bounds above the rest. Slightly more difficult due to double stack frame but by the the most simple, reliable, easy to repair and also holds the largest aftermarket. With the right holds aND shirt choices the double stack frame can easily dissappear also
>>28030388
>glock 19, ruger lc9
If you can comfortably conceal the Glock 19 as easily as the Ruger LC9, then the choice is rather obvious. Also, I've heard the LC9 can be somewhat snappy due to how light it is, and Kek Tek guns are worse, so if you do want a slimmer subcompact 9mm you might want to look elsewhere (M&P Shield is available at that price point)
