PAK-FA = FAIL!
>>28030346
Germans are orderly and hard working, Russians are drunk and hardly working.
Russian ran out of Germans to do the work for them.
what is your guys opinion on the F-35 and weather it will stand up to the russian counterpart the TU50
Even if it's an inferior plane there will be far more of them than there will be TU50s, because unlike Russia, America has money.
>>28030288
>TU50
No such thing. T-50 is a manufacturer's prototype designation and PAK FA is a government designation for the project.
>>28030288
The F-35 is perfectly adequate for what it is being asked to do.
Tell me why I should or should not open carry /k/.
>>28030173
because you base some life decisions on a random message board i don't think you should carry a weapon at all.
Do it faggot
Rifle while wearing anything but hunting gear?
No.
Handgun? Sure, just don't dress like a nigger.
Sup /k/, I'm looking for a kevlar vest and a decent plate carrier with plates, what get? I know fuckall about armor
>>28029985
do you want a separated kevlar vests AND a plate-carrier? Or would an armor carrier, as in a vest that incorporates soft-armor + pockets for plates do as well?
For the latter, you could grab a fairly cheap Interceptor Body-armor or IOTV from Ebay or such. Got couple of IBAs myself for mere 100 bucks a piece, and slapped in couple LV4 German plates I got for 80€ / a pair.
>>28030058
I wanted separate ones but I'm open to ideas
>>28030065
Also wrote down your suggestion, thanks
This guy comes up to you and offers you one of these relics from the past FOR FREE.
Which do you choose?
Gavrilo Princip's FN model 1910
Lee Harvey Oswald's Carcano carbine
Simo Häyhä's M/28-30 rifle
John Wilkes Booth's Philadelphia Deringerpistol
Adolf Hitler's Walther PPK 7.65
Marcus Brutus Dagger
>>28029871
Hitler's PPK or Brutus dagger, not even a question.
Simo's rifle
>>28029871
Brutus' dagger, duh.
I'm trying to get my class 3 guard card in Texas and I have to qualify with a handgun and a 12gauge. What is a good shotgun to go out and buy for security guard purposes? I was thinking the Nova but shotguns as a whole are a relitive unknown for me.

What do you look for when buying a combat shotgun?
>>28029856
Price.
It's literally limited only by what you want to spend and what features you want. A Maverick 88 will do everything a Benelli or Browning can hope to do, just without the style. For combat, you might want some adjustable sights for when you have to throw slugs. Smooth bore 18 inch barrel with changable choke tubes. I like ones that take remington style chokes as they are very available. Pump guns cycle pretty much everything if you aren't short jacking including less-lethal.
So... My gf has never shot a semi automatic firearm.
Ever. She came from a pure bolt action/lever action and revolver house hold.
She knows how to shoot, has shown interest in getting a semi auto weapon, but no clue where to start.
So /k/, I ask this, Would starting here on a AR platform be a good start? Just so the basics can be taught? What would you recommend?
Pic unrelated.
>>28029823
Get her a 10/22
Yeah. ARs have like no recoil too.
But I dunno I'm an army fag
>can take apart an AR and put it back together blind folded in a short amount of time
>fucking can't put an AK back together to save my life
>Fuck
>>28029857
Yea same here dude. Know any good, cheap rifles for beginners?
>have an old ass CZ82 I use as my carry cause I can't shoot my 9mm as well as it
>noticed a few days ago you can pull the trigger through the safety
>but when it's cocked you can't
>was actually looking at me more and noticed the safety doesn't really CLICK up all the way unless it's cocked
>can't pull the hammer back and cock it with my finger too
My dad said I should stop carrying the weird foreign shit and carry my 9mm.
He's right but, what wrong with my little CZ? :(
>>28029725
Nothing. It was made with the idea that a double-action trigger is enough of a safety, or you can carry cocked and locked with the safety on.
safety is for carrying it cocked and locked, DA doesn't need a safety.
>>28029725
Dunno man I just found a NIB 83 that I am picking up on Tuesday but its a damn fine pistol. Your dad is just jealous that merrican manufacturers can not hold a candle to it.
Gentlemen:
How do we fix the American shipbuilding industry?
>>28029694
Is there a problem that needs fixing?
>>28029694
go to waR
behemoth golem move
stomp stomp
drink the oceans
eat the sun
swallow all the winds
everything dies
>>28029703
While American aviation is top notch, American shipbuilding is a shadow of its former self. Nobody buys ships from America anymore.
I'm in dire need of a gun safe, I've got $500 to spend, any recommendations? I have two scoped rim fire rifles, two AR's, one with an aimpoint pro, a shotgun, and about 10 pistols. Of course I need room to grow.
Pic unrelated, just what I picked up black Friday
>>28029692
i'm gonna spend 4-500 and make a locking wooden bed frame/gun cabinet
>>28029810
Sounds neat, if I was planning on keeping my current bed frame, I'd like to do something like that.
Let's see some gun safes /k/
Does anyone feel like gunpowder literally ruined combat? I mean, any retard can shoot a gun. Apart from "Chris Kyle", there are no famous "warriors" anymore. And he's just some sniper who shoots civilians.
Imagine if we still used swords. I'd be able to master my craft and be one of the best. Combat would be up close and personal, not fought with a playstation like in 2015 (muh drones).
What does /k/ think about this?
i think romanticizing war is for idiots.
>>28029381
No, it only ruined your romanticized notion of combat.
As a less than stellar physical specimen, I'd rather have a gun than a sharpened hunk of metal that I would require me to get up close and personal with someone in order to kill them.
>>28029381
You've been watching "Into The Badlands", haven't you.
I've been trying to decide whether my next purchase will be an AR or a Mini. I really want to add a 5.56 rifle to my small collection. Every time I Google around for opinions, someone says "fuck 'em both, get a C93."
Should I listen to that one guy? I kind of dig the looks of it, but it doesn't look like it would support many accessories.
>>28029351
Eh, there is a reason the AR is so popular. No reason to get a Mini-14 though.
>>28029351
Who the fuck is suggesting a century built obsolete kraut gun as anything but a novelty?
What are you googling, worst advice in .223?
>>28029351
If you're looking for a rifle you can heavily customize, the HK93/C93 is not the rifle for you. If you want to make your rifle 'yours' get an AR and fiddle with it however you please. The 93 is a rifle for people who want something that's fun and out of the ordinary, while still being an effective 5.56 caliber rifle.
Personally, I like them a lot. To me, the ergos of the HK/CETME family are much more comfortable than the ergos of the AR family. If you're already familiar with those ergos but want something lighter than a 91, the 93 is the way to go.
Why can't Russia make good airplanes anymore?
Because they're not incredibly rich, and can't afford to throw the GDP of a small country at building one.
Who needs airplanes if you have a dozen thousand nuclear weapons.
>>28029273
Because every conflict in the Cold War was settled with nukes.
I just picked up a pair of picture related with the one large audio plug. what radios and ptt's are going to work with it? baofeng? my ten year old talkabouts?
>>28029176
You can use it with just about anything as long as you can either buy or make the needed adapters.
You probably can't find adapters labeled as baofeng, however they use the same interface as kenwood radios, so look for those instead.
That is a U-174 connector, same as helicopter flight helmets/headsets. Google away.
>>28029176
What would I call the object in pic related if I was trying to buy one online?
Tactical headphones mic?
Hej /k/
i know this isnt /r/.
but does any one here know were i can find a british infantry manual, which has formations and section layouts, for the modern day british army
>>28029103
I'm not sure if it fits what you're looking for precisely, but The British Army Guide is a pretty good book on the UKs military.
The make-up of rifle sections within the 24-man platoon is pretty adaptable depending on their task.
You get blokes operating anywhere from 3x 8-man sections (2x 4-man fireteam), 2x 10-man rifle sections (2x 5-man fireteams) and a HQ team, or as 2x 12-man "multiples" (3x 4-man fireteams)
Well, in the Danish army, we have a standart manual, that shows standart movement formations, and what the role is of each man, it also has a list of the commands used by the SL
