invest in some ammo cans. They look cool, and insure they will stay safe from humidity and something like a flood destroying your ammo.
>Latest 2 procured ships will cost $562 million EACH not including mission packages
>Only 40 ships ordered, down from 52
>Navy has not yet demonstrated that LCS will achieve its survivability requirements, and does not plan to complete survivability assessments until 2018
>Critical MCM systems are not reliable
>Minehunting capabilities are limited in other-than-benign environmental conditions
>The fleet is not equipped to maintain the ship or the MCM systems
Excerpt 1
The lethality and survivability of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is still largely unproven, 6 years after delivery of the lead ships. LCS was designed with reduced requirements as compared to other surface combatants, and the Navy has since lowered several survivability and lethality requirements and removed several design features—making the ship both less survivable in its expected threat environments and less lethal than initially planned.
Excerpt 2
DOT&E does not expect either LCS variant to be survivable in high-intensity combat because the design requirements accept the risk that the crew would have to abandon ship under circumstances that would not require such action on other surface combatants. Although the ships incorporate capabilities to reduce their susceptibility to attack, previous testing of analogous capabilities demonstrates it cannot be assumed LCS will not be hit in high-intensity combat.
Excerpt 3
The current LCS seaframes do not have sufficient separation and redundancy in theirvital systems to recover damaged capability. Because the SSC design is not substantially different from the LCS Flight 0+ baseline and will not add much more redundancy or greater separation of critical equipment or additional compartmentation, it will likely be less survivable than the Navy’s previous frigate class.

Hard to understand why producing empty ships costs so much in US ship yards
Maybe they are just paying extra to keep shipyards open

Where were you when US navy corvettes became more expensive than other countries guided missile frigates?

couldn't you just blow a hole in one of the outer hull things and totally assfuck that thing like those terrorists on a fishing boat did to that destroyer?

I can't be the only one who thought Pawn Stars was entertaining.
Must be my inner white trash.
The media thinks that all guns are supposed to be registered to you like a car is registered to someone. Now, they're completely wrong, but that doesn't stop them from thinking they aren't.

I think we'd all do the same
What torture sessions? I thought they just behead you.
What is this manter.co shit? At least post the actual fucking article which took me all of 2 seconds to find.

Why do cops like shooting dogs so much?
>>29384229
Mixture of safety measure, adrenalin, and love of power. Is that what you wanted to hear
>>29384229
because pitbulls are the blacks of the dog world
>>29384229
Because if a dog gets ahold of you with their mouth, you're gonna have a bad time.
Dogs can fuck you up. Anyone who says otherwise has never been attacked / bit
Not to say that killing any dog whenever is justified.
/k/ommandos, what are your favorite camo patterns for each environment? Pic somewhat related.
Woodland: M81/US Woodland
Desert: US 6-Color Desert
Transitional: South African Soldier 2000
Snow: French Alpine
Urban: MVD Blue Tigerstripe
I also really like East German Strichtarn/think it would make a decent universal pattern.
>>29384157
Woodland: M90 Woodland
Desert: Desert DPM
Transitional/intermediate: Rhodesian Brushstroke
Snow: French Alpine
Urban: Any solid color pattern like Olive Drab or just simply black.

Hello /k/,
My lgs has both a cz-82 and some Bulgarian makarovs in stock. The makarov is $260 and the cz is $270. They both come with one mag and appear to be in similarly good condition.
I am only looking to buy one right now. Which one should I buy?
>>29383033
Mak master race
>>29383033
I'd go with the 82. Both are great guns, reliable, rugged and capable. The 82, though, has a double stack mag, giving you 12+1 instead of Mak's 8+1, and the 82 has a thumb mag release instead of a heel mag release. But let it be your pick, both great guns.

>>29381181
A two-liter.
What does /k/ recommend for CC?
>>29380518
anything that uses 45.0 inch caliber bullets
Insect repellent, wasp spray, cell phone with 911 speed dialed into it, whistle.
You don't need a gun for self defense.
Glock 19/26/27/30/42/43/whatever
S&W Shield
S&W XDS
Anything compact/subcompact that holds more than 6 rounds, preferably in 9mm
I want a real, usable one hand sword, and I am willing to pay good money for it. No mallninja shit.
What brands are good? Where should i enquire about it?
>>29380263
I like Armour Class swords. You can get them sharpened or unsharpened.
I guess it depends on where you live, too, since I know that some companies will charge more if you're in the Americas rather than in Europe.
>>29380263
go to google, find a forum that specializes in swords ask there, as very shortly this thread will be a giant shit show about longsword vs katana, and will inevitably tell you to get a spear or an axe

These guys are pretty good from everything I've heard. Plenty of HEMA guys I know say pretty much only good things (aside from the price, which isn't an issue for you, and the waiting list)
/k/, would you stick a 50 BMG bullet up your ass to the point of prostate orgasm, for a 1000 dollars?
I would do it for free.

Berate for lack of Sebenza and heavy mouth breathing.
And do we need it ?
Yes, new electronics, updated armor, and maybe a new engine.
Yes we need it.
>>29378409
The new tracks and the LWR are more than enough to make it worthwhile.
Dem tracks man.
Take twice as long to wear out and provide better performance on all terrain types.
The new armor package and switch to the XM360 are great ideas though.
The M1A2 is an old piece of shit
Whats needed is an all new tank, not an upgrade
But I think the army can't decide on design criteria(largely because they want a 1 size fits all vehicle rather than just buying a number of variants on the same chassis), and they don't have funding for it.
