Seems pretty expensive for a book but lately I've been enjoying different sniper related media and am looking at trying some long range shooting.
Is it worth picking up a copy?
>>29418298
>pretty expensive
It's worth it, I think, but if money is an issue, go used from Amazon, Half Price Books, get Barnes and Noble coupons or wait until Paladin Press holds a sale.
Really good book actually. I own it, and there is tons of good info from tactics, equipment, skills. Definitely worth it.
Fuck sake m8, is anyone gonna post a dl link?
I have $200, what gun can I buy that's not a piece of shit?
>>29418271
H&R pump?
if you are a nigger you could get a problem solver
>>29418271
>not a piece of shit?
Nothing.
Just save more money so you don't have to worry about whether or not you're buying shit.
How much should it protrude? Is pic related good? Just bought this rifle and I can't find any info on the firing pin protrusion. Type 99 btw
Why would you buy a Japanese rifle?
>>29418199
It should portrude far enough that you can shove it up your ass.
>>29418242
arisakas are good senpai
I have the option to pick up a Baikal Makarov in 9x18 in a trade. I had an old Bulgarian surplus Mak in the past but I no longer have.
How are the Baikal Maks? Aren't they pretty much just commercial Makarovs with adjustable rear sights? Are they worth it over a normal old fixed sight Mak?
Sights are kinda shitty as they woggle around, but really its still a decent gun. I've had mine since 2007 and I still shoot and enjoy it.
>>29418096
DICK GRIPS
>>29418096
I prefer the milsurp to the commercial. I like the fixed sights better.
I watched the first two episodes of Sharpe. Do we like this show, /k/?
>>29418091
>Do we like this show, /k/?
Make up your own mind faggot, we are not a hive mind.
>>29418100
Fucking this.

It's a free god damn country. Watch what you want to watch, shoot what you want to shoot, so long as it isn't illegal or hurting anyone, who gives a fuck. Don't just do something because others do it.
How can I make an AR with this and NOT be edgy? Because honestly.. I kinda like it..
>>29417968
you can't

Cover it in zombie green, and punisher symbols.
Evening /k/, I was recently given an amazon giftcard for my birthday and I am looking to acquire/put it towards anything /k/ related(including clothing and various items) and was interested in what ya'll might be able to recommend me from amazon based on past purchases, friends purchases, or the hopes that one anon makes a poor purchasing decision.
>>29417850
Are you has guns?
Buy yourself some new ammo cans, a holster, a sling, weapons parts, a gun lock, ect.
>>29418022
>buying ammo cans
>2016
nigga just buy ammo that comes in cans.
If you order less than a can worth of ammo at a time you are doing it wrong.
>>29418048
>Not buying single boxes so you know what ammo the gun likes
Just assembled my ar15 from a lower parts kit from PSA, I did it from memory and somehow put my hammer spring on like shown. Will this affect anything? Do I need to change it?
>>29417458
bump cause wondering same thing. Looks like it is meant that way desu
>>29417458
>Do I need to change it?
Yes. Do it right.
>>29417458
Yes, you need to correct it, you fucking retard.
How well would a sword work for scaring away home invaders? I live in Europe, so not many have guns here.
>>29417162
They would just shoot you.
>>29417162
depends on if they are armed and what with. junkie with a steak knife? hes out of there. dedicated robber with a gun? probably not
>>29417162
Sorry, no; the only thing that scares away home invaders is the death of one or more of their own, your willingness to actually use whatever weapon you have.
This being a big step away from the usual nanny state mindset, you might want to consider starting with a good dog, though.
Debating if I should get a cheap handgun or a short sword/cutlass for self defense, the problem is I don't know where to look about sword laws in my state (Indiana), does anyone on /k/ happen to know where to look, or anything about my states laws?
If I can't get a sword I guess I'll go with a handgun, but I have no training, never even held one, and not a lot of money to spend. What are good, cheap guns for newbies? I'm starting to read the sticky (wikia link) now. Sorry for shitting up your board but I think you guys are pretty smart about weapons, and this Norwegian oyster trading forum is the only site I browse.
>>29417078
betcha you can get a machete or two at home depot
that way you can have a useful tool until the barbarians arrive at the gates
maybe go out and cut things, learn how to use it?
>>29417078
You'd have to be a literal autist to choose a sword over a gun
Just go to harbor freight and get a machete. You'll quickly realize that using it to cut brush isn't as fun as you think then you'll realize using it to cut bone/flesh would be even less fun. Then you'd take all the money you saved on the $15 machete and purchase a neat pistol to play with. Go to a local gunstore (Academy, Dicks, Bass Pro, etc.) and ask to hold the guns to see which fits best in your hand.
Will this rod damage my .22?
I used it once but now I'm worried maybe I shouldn't have, this gun is my baby. I don't know much about cleaning bores.
I cleaned from the chamber
>>29416801
I don't use any rods on my .22s.
I use boresnakes, and rags and shoe strings.
it looks like aluminum so no
>>29416811
Shoe strings huh? That's a good idea.
But my gun is 28 inch barrel, so I don't think that would work.
Bore snakes are good though? I'll get one for next time.
>>29416816
I hope it is. I used the brush attachment in the pic with it and it does have a metal loop on the end too
It was kind of hard to push through but I'm guessing that's normal? I hope I didn't scrape the chamber
Also how heavily should I live my bolt? I just used the hoppes that came with this kit
>this is a drug dealers arsenal in NJ
>>29416779
A lever action and $55?
>>29416779
was he a mooly or eyetalian?
>>29416779
More than most of /k/
Rhino or lcr?
>>29416757
That's a rhino
>>29416795
That's an LCR you idiot
>>29416795
Yep op, that's definitely a rhino, this guy knows his guns.
hey /o/. would you buy a mig-21 for 70k if you had the money?
what other fighter jet could you buy for that amount? or would you save up for something more ballin?
>>29416640
I'd rather buy a hellcat tank and make it road legal.
And spend the rest of the money on making it insured and filled up
>>29416640
I had the chance to get one for $10,000 about 12 years ago. It needed a shitload of work though
>>29416661
i can't picture myself picking a tank over a jet even if the upkeep and legality is an order of magnitude simpler. i'd just use bondo on holes and fill that baby up with premo.
Not necessarily bought. Found this knife in the yard and cleaned it up, can anyone identify it and is it worth carrying or mall ninja tier garbage?
Also general recent acquisitions thread
>>29416562
well what is written on the blade?
>>29416676
No markings on either side, it's completely bare
>>29416562
ayy I have one of those. Had it for years now though so I forget what it is. No markings or anything.
