Just moved to Colorado two weeks ago. Earlier this week I tried to order some 30 round magazines for my AR and during checkout I was informed that sale to Colorado was prohibited. GASP... There's a fucking 15 round magazine limit here.

Fast forward a few days and I'm in a local gun store. Guess what? They're selling 30, 40, hell even 60+ round magazines. But wait... despite being fully assembled and ready to go they're not technically "magazines" they're "magazine rebuild kits".

What the fuck Colorado?! It appears the magazine limit ban of 2013 is just a fucking farce. Nobody cares, not even law enforcement. But because the law exists on paper I can't order high-capacity magazines online. Not only that - I'm now worried I wont be able to buy pistols that hold a 17 round magazine. Are there any Coloradans out there that can shed some light on this topic?

Laws are stupid, more at 11.

You can probably buy the gun you want, just look for it being sold with 10 or 15 round magazines instead of the full sized.
>>
>>29404328
Roger that, anon.

The thing that gets me is I know some states are actually very strict about that shit. My buddy in Massachusetts says they'd jail your ass on the spot if they caught you with a pre-94 30 round magazine. It's just frustrating how the 15 round limit is law here yet licensed gun stores openly defy the regulation using the term "magazine rebuild kit" to skirt the gray area law. Hopefully they overturn that shit soon but with the amount of liberals flooding into this state I'm not too sure that will happen.
>>
>>29404848
Meant to say post-94 30 round magazine. This goes for any magazine above 10 rounds in that faggy state.

Anyone got any stories of making their own fire arms or ever wanted too?

I would like to make something like what's in the image and would like some advice.

There was no chance of Axis establishing a long-term alliance with the USSR, under any circumstances. Both sides had always planned on going to war against the other party for at least half a decade leading up to 1941; their ideologies were utterly antithetical despite a mutual enmity with the western allies. Stalingrad was a defeat for the Axis but the mere act of attempting to take it wasn't a mistake; they wouldn't have been able to hold the Caucasus without it, and the Soviets absolutely couldn't afford to lose it. Rather, the mistake the Germans made was splitting their forces rather than focusing on holding Stalingrad.

More to the point, however, there is no strategic decision or maneuver that would have allowed the Axis to win against both the USSR and the British empire even if the USA had permanently remained out of the war (which was extremely unlikely even without Pearl Harbor). The real fatal mistake that Hitler made was starting the war in the first place; even if he hadn't micromanaged anything, his generals still wouldn't have been able to win.

For Germany, WWII amounted to nothing less than willful national suicide - they only held out as long as they did due to some outrageously lucky breaks, particularly on the eastern front.

They only lost because the US and British spoonfed them supplies. Russian tankers preferred Shermans and Churchills over russian designs. The Russians didn't make their own train until after the war.

They lost because their allies were worthless

And the west was filled with edgy commies who didn't bring any manpower/took large garrisons

lightweight
reliable
not the most accurate
not very modular
somewhat odd ergo's
quick change barrel works well
ambi ejection
super heavy trigger pull
somewhat complex internals

It's alright. Not that amazingly great or revolutionary, but inexpensive enough to warrant a purchase for the features it offers.

I wouldn't mind owning a SBR version in FDE.

Hey /k/, anyone here own a Berthier carbine? I'm looking to add one to my milsurp collection, but don't know much about them. What's an average price for one? What should I look for? What to avoid?

200-300 seems to be the average going rate. Mine is a 1892 made in 1910. Got it for $250. Ammo is expensive thou so reload.

Nothing important to look for from what I've seen. Just make sure it's in good shape and original caliber.

The 1916 model has the rear sling swivel on the ride side of the stock and a top handguard, this verison also has the 5 shot magazine. The 1892, 1907 rifle and rest have the rear sling swivel on the bottom. No handguard and 3 shot capacity. Other minor differences too but those are the big ones that come to mind.

Big thing is that you may find 1892s and 1907s converted to 5 shot magazines with their markings restamped to 1916s or something along those lines. This isn't a bubba, as the French upgraded all their old arms to the 5 shot mag. Hell, you can probably even buy a 3 shot or 5 shot trigger assembly, dissemble the gun and replace the one in there to your desired configuration if it suits you.

Not all carbines and rifles were made with stacking pins, so don't worry if yours don't have one.

Yours probably won't have the cleaning rod with it, originals are expensive and hard to find. But you can find great reproductions online for about $75.

Clips cost like $30 a piece on libertytreecollectors. Don't expect to find repros.

The guns are cheap because everything else about them is very expensive.

>>29404218
Thanks. Is it true you can only shoot modern ammo out of ones marked with a "N" on the barrel and receiver?

Is ther anywhere to buy genuine Soviet gear from online?

Everywhere I look, it's all replica or reproduction. I would like to get a Belt A "Lifchik", but I can't seem to find a reliable place to buy one.

I second this. The majority of the website is airshit talk, but I can't find a bigger den of east-bloc autists anywhere.

The trading section is well worth it. There's lots of EUfags there who can get their hands on shit easier than us burgers can, and the site itself can recommend internet stores.

I have the opportunity to get practically any SIG gun for half off, and a 600 dollar gun for 300 sounds like a good deal. I'm just looking for a decent gun for some target shooting and light pest control. The M400's look great but would be 600-700 dollars and have more expensive ammo for what I need it for.

Thoughts?
