How does one transport a firearm through a city in a freedom-loving state without a car?

I'm going to be interning in Pittsburgh over the summer and will likely not be able to bring any of my guns with me on the way there. I would like to, however, possibly purchase a shotgun while I'm over there (thinking a cheap Maverick 88) along with some ammo for defense. I do have all necessary identification/licensing from my home state (a freedom-hating state nearby) and would be fine to take the gun home at the end of the summer most likely. I won't have a car and will be college-aged, and I know that I wouldn't be breaking any laws by taking a cab, but what are your experiences with legally transporting long guns via taxi or Uber? Should I find another way to do this? The nearest gun store to my place is 4 miles away.

Oh, and just to clarify, I'm 20, even though I said "I will be college-aged" that's a brainfart.
>>
>>29443345
disassemble it and stuff it in a duffel bag along with the rest of your shit. Nobody would be any the wiser. And I'm not 1005 percent sure but I think that transporting it disassembled is completely legal.
>>
>>29443405
Yeah, a firearm is a firearm, so I'm thinking the same thing you are: just de-barrelling my own shotgun and putting it in the carry-on baggage for my voyage there. My parents are driving me so this will be completely legal under the laws of all the states I'll be passing through.

Thanks anon. I'm just not working so good mentally this time of night, hahaha. I just got my tax return so I'll probably just buy another Maverick before I go out.

Most popular, most reliable polymer handgun.

OK.

Starting an armed security job soon and I need a bulletproof vest. I'm pretty much guaranteed to get shot at by gangbangers with cartel connections. Should be pretty fun.

I'm having a hard time deciding what threat level to get. A lot of people say IIIa is too heavy/bulky (and it does get hot af here) but I want a good amount of protection. Or should I just say fuck it and get rifle plates?

if you know you're going to get shot at you're going to want the most you can get. if by cartel you mean they are going to shoot at you with rifles that means getting plates too

I'm only slightly exaggerating but I wouldn't rule out rifles. It's mostly going to be meth dealers based on the areas I've worked unarmed so far. They say the armed ones are always the worst places and I've worked some pretty bad unarmed ones...

alright /k/. lets say hypodermically speaking, there was a belt fed 50cal sniper rifle with an Echo Trigger.

would you dump your wallet on the bullets?

Hey /k/, I'm trying to start a firearms club in my liberal southern California college. Part of it is teaching gun safety to students; as a result of this I need your help in finding a cheap (Since the school would never in a million years pay for this), reliable, .22 rifle, that is adult sized. Any other suggestions on my club would be greatly appreciated.

Ruger 10/22 obviously.
>>
>>29441227
See, I'm tending more towards bolt actions, since they can handle subsonic and "hyper-velocity" bullets, and they tend to be more sturdy and easier to explain to new folk.

I just picked up a G19 Gen 4 and felt I should get a light for it, seeing as it's my home defense gun, may need to see at night. What does /k/ regard as a decently priced light that isn't complete shit? I don't need anything too operator.

TLR-1 is perfect for in the home at 200 lumens. Top of the line is Surefire X300U-B but it's a bit bright at 600 lumens

thats debatable. there a lot of factors that go into flashlight brightness

Alright /k/, I have $500 and want to buy a revolver for target, bird and rodent shooting.

What will give me the most bang(no pun intended) for my buck?

Also never owned a revolver before if that's relevant at all.

Save up a bit more and get a 10/22 and a Maverick 88, a Judge which you are subtly baiting us into recommending is all around shit.

I have other firearms that would be more than suited for the task, I just want a revolver so I can say I have a revolver and not have it just collecting dust.

Watch the videos and discuss? I'm thinking they'll act once they realize what they've made available to the public which makes me want to lay down the cash to purchase one or two.

It's great for plinking but why wouldn't it be good for stockpiling 50 year old AK ammo in a spam can works fine

Hey /k/. I wanted to buy a shitty fucking mosin and join your ranks now that I have the disposable income, but it turns out that glorious leader has banned the import, so the price has tripled and the ammo is no longer economical. Are there any reasonable alternative bolt actions that are cheap to buy, cheap to shoot, and are easily operable by a simpleton such as I?

I'm just trying to find a fun gun that won't break the bank now that I have friends who shoot. A couple years ago I could've had my pick from like 60 mosins for next to nothing at Cabela's. Cabela's guy working the firearms section told me that non-sporterized are going to be find to find at a decent price anymore because of the executive order preventing import.

AR 15, and as many 30rd mags and m855 as possible.

Could the Nazi's have won the war in Europe, assuming the U.S. didn't intervene? Pic related, weird superweapons aside, they did create some impressive firsts.

They certainly could have. Their major mistake was destroying a huge portion of their army for a symbolic victory in a city instead of essential oil fields in Russia.

Reciprocating barrels?
