Other than the criticism that Turkey is evul are these Canik CZ clones good? Their Jericho clone is pretty tempting for sub-400 bucks.

Hello /k/

My wife wants to start hunting this year. Everything is going great except for one thing.

She is cross dominant. She favors her right hand and her left eye.

Left to her own devices she will operate a gun with her right hand on the trigger and left hand on the forend, with the damn thing buried in her left shoulder. It's awkward and unstable as hell.

What would you folks do? Should we look into left handed rifles? If she shoulders the rifle on her right she tilts her head almost 90 degrees to see through the scope with her left eye. The goofy posture will be a rude awakening when we transition from my 22 to my 300 win mag.

Put some shooting glasses on her, put a dot of paint or a bit of a post it note on her left eye lens, her brain will switch dominance to her right eye, works for me when I'm target shooting. If I'm hunting I just close my left eye.
>>
>>29393169
Not OP but I'll try the post it trick, thx.

Being cross dominant isn't a problem for pistol shooting but I had to train to shoot rifles like I was left handed, which kinda sucks.
>>
>>29393393
It's actually quite freaky, doesn't need to be in the way of your sight picture, just visible when you're aiming. If you know the bringing your hand towards your eyes in an OK shape to check dominance you can try it glasses on and glasses off and watch it swap over.

In the SAS the new troopers would be sent to really rough pubs and told to insult the locals and get into massive nasty brawls to become hard as nails.

Are your fists your primary weapon?

Yes, but the fact that you don't own any american guns is irrelevant.

No. They probably wouldn't function reliably enough to do the job anyways.

>>29392976
I'd say no, but if you do just don't use a gun to do it.

I told a friend to give me a better suggestion than nuclear deterrence, a safer and human-error free method of ensuring that one country doesn't just nuke another. This was his response.

>Anyway, we seem to be doing fine defending ourselves. Our geography does a lot of that. In fact, we are probably the reason any other country feels the need to develop nuclear weapons, being that we stick our nose into everyone's business.

>Given our sheer military size, nuclear weaponry seems ridiculous, costly, and of course, risky

Give me a solid argument? It's a friendly debate, but I want something with more facts than logic to throw at him.

MAD is a really shitty and stupid system where you don't really have checks. We have a fair more valuable system of deterrence now anyway. Economic. We're all so globally linked hurting even the smallest producer can have catastrophic setbacks.

Remember when you play an FPS game and you die right after you spawn?
Now imagine if you were a real soldier in that real scenario.

How would you feel if you got unexpectadly killed in your first second of operating? (Stepped on a landmine, shot by a sniper, etc)
You had one chance and its gone

Uh, you wouldn't care one bit because you are dead.

Since we're on topic, a WWII MOH winner fought hard to rejoin his unit in combat after being paraded around for war bond promotion. They finally let him redeploy. He was killed in the first ten minutes of hitting the beaches of Iwo Jima.

There decent, prefer their .44 specials. If it's a home defense or glovebox gun it will get the job done, especially if you put some HP or +P in it.

Hates him collectively. There has never been a positive word spoken here about the senile old faggot, with many people stating that having him as a grandfather would be the worst thing in the world.
>>

He's pretty good.

> buds and federal, shoot shoot, recite wikipedia, buds and federal

I like him anyway. Listening to him reminds me of my neighbor when I was a kid. Old guy, farmer, patient with kids. Showed me how to work with my hands.

I like how he admits to his prejudices up front when he's shooting a gun he doesn't really like. He's very fair to the guns he shows.

What is /k/'s opinion on the Bushmaster ACR? No, not the Remington one. I'm talking about the civilian version that Bushmaster has failed on almost every promise that gave the Masada so much attention in the first place.

Drop the price down to $1,000 or less and I might.

Dear /k/ommandos,

I was in here a few days ago asking about some good hunting rifles for a new hunter. I am going to surprise my dad for his birthday by going hunting with him, something he has asked me to do with him a few years after I met him but was unable to do due to finances. One of you recommended the Ruger American models and after prayer ( I'll share the story in the next post ) I believe I was led to two different models. One of them is pic related in 36 ( 30-06 , the other mentioned later will be pic in second post ) and the other will be a .22 LR or Magnum carbine.

What I want to know, in asking you this, is what to expect the first time I fire these rifles and the best ways to learn to shoot. I'm going to guess I start with the lower caliber until I'm somewhat proficient and then practice with the 36. What should I expect from the guns? What should I be trying to accomplish as I learn to shoot? Can you educate me on proper gun range etiquette?

I'd also like to know a bit about safe ways to store my firearms. Ideally, even though these guns are not all that beautiful, I'd like to hang them on my wall above what was my computer/file desk. My desktop died out a while ago so I have a good but of free space to keep the tools I'll need to keep my guns in good shape where the tower, printer, etc. was located.

Not to be a pussy, but 'full power' cartridges do kick a bit in a light bolt action gun. You can mitigate this by getting a 'limb saver' pad and/or a muzzle brake (if your muzzle is threaded). If you're going to be shooting a decent amount of .30-06 (or .308, etc.) I would recommend getting a rifle with a threaded muzzle or having it threaded if you can. I'd get whatever rifle you're looking at in .308 over .30-06.

Gun range etiquette is to have the rifle stored in the case at all times until you're at your lane. Once you're at the lane, pull it out with it always pointing down range. Then you can load up and everything. During any 'cold range' times, put your rifle on its side with the bolt all the way open and a chamber flag in if you have one.

If your rifle does not have a bipod, you may want to invest in one, or buy bean/sand bags to rest the front of the stock on. A rear stock bag (sock full of rice or beans) can be helpful as well.

Anywho, I want to thank you guys for having given me your input and I'm hoping you'll continue to do so.

May peace be with you,

Fa/tg/uy here, for reasons, I need a good resource on what a knife fight actually looks like with modern training. So, I come here in hopes that that someone can link me some youtube or some reading material or something. If you somehow have an answer for how to knife fight a guy in chainmail, that would be even better.

Also, which country has the best knife fighting for their military's?

The most aggressive guy wins.
>replace knife with coat
The winner is crippled for life. The loser dies on the spot.

There's a reason only niggers and the desperate fight with knives.

I carry Hornady CD, but recently learned they're shit, so I can only tell you not to get those.

This is unrelated to your question, but as a fellow Thunder owner I just wanted to let you know that if you are getting FTFs or FTEs, they go away after the break-in period. I nearly returned mine because it was happening at least once per mag when I first got it, but now that they've stopped happening I'm really glad I kept it.

The malfunctions occurred on both factory and aftermarket (promag) magazines with equal frequency. Now that everything is broken in the promags work just as well as the factory mag.

>>29390556
Rocks and perhaps some sticks.

Why did you get a pussy caliber?
