Can I ship 30 round bakelite magazines to a private buyer in California?
No, unless you disassemble and sell as a "rebuild kit"
>>29454284
Didn't they just pass a new law concerning that? I am getting mixed reviews from my research
>>29454270
If you aren't an FFL, go ahead, it's not illegal for you, only for them.
But could there be anything to what he's saying? Tbh I feel like he is kinda grasping at straws to make himself feel smart but I wanted your opinions on it.

Alot of people think the same thing, yes Mikhail did not always tell the same story, ranging from Hugo had no involvement to various degrees of involvement.
We are talking about communist russians, so you make up your mind. We'll likely never get the full story.
>by Alex C.
I really hope no one listens to this douche anymore.
Why read some faggot's blog article when you can just read C.J.Chivers' book that goes into the details of the design contest, who was involved, and how the best features were combined together. It was a very deliberate proces, and Kalashnikov led one of the teams involved. It's not his fault that he later became the celebrity face of the firearm.
I watched a video and they talked about the 41F and how it affects trusts.
I do like the fact that as long as I get an NFA item every 2 years I don't have to send in all the paperwork for each item.
But my question is, if I were to get a NFA item now such as a machine gun before it went into effect on July 13th, would that still apply or would I have to transition into the new NFA laws to be able to get something every 2 years with limited paperwork?
>>29453541
>I were to get a NFA item now such as a machine gun before it went into effect on July 13th, would that still apply
Are you retarded? Of course it wouldn't. Did you even read for yourself how it works?
>>29455111
I guess I worded it incorrectly, as in I mean would the nfa item be grandfathered in on the old rules, or would it transition into the new 41f laws.
>>29455707
> Does it still count as a starting point for those two years under the new laws?
Probably not.
Lets say we found proof of intelligent life in the universe. What would be our governments response military-wise? Would we see WW2 style mobilization with vastly increased military spending?
I imagine we would be spending shitloads on bio/chemical weapons as they would probably be our best bet against other lifeforms not used to them.
i can imagine attacking the aliens with our military would probably be at the bottom of the list of reactions

are you retarded

this

I didn't say attacking I said mobilization. Do you really think they would just be like "k so theres aliens" and go about their day?
How would firearms history change if the U.S had adopted the M1 in .276? would we still evolve to smaller .223 cartridges?
Also is there a modern day equivilant to .276? maybe .270 or 7mm-08?
>>29453239
>toggle locked firearm
>lubed cases
pls no, I can already taste the jam
>equivalent
6.5 grendel or 6.8 SPC.
>>29453239
>7mm-08?
Probably about that.
Current thoughts are:
Revolver: SW 686, Ruger GP100
Auto: Sig p226, CZ sp101, something HK?, 1911
use case would be home protection/fucking around at the range
any thoughts are appreciated... what would you get?
>>29453125
P320
>>29453150
I'm currently leaning towards something all metal. I'm not going to be carrying it, so what is the benefit of a polymer frame? Why the P320 specifically?
>>29453172
Polymer framed guns are usually lighter(not useful/necessary in your situation), and cheaper.
For home defense I would recommend a semi auto double stack 9mm. .40 and .45 would be appropriate as well.
I would suggest a full sized glock/cz/sig/sw m&p in your preferred caliber. Beretta 92 wouldn't be a bad choice either.
Im not too familiar with HK but they've got a bit of a reputation for being overpriced, albeit still being good guns.
Make sure to budget for a light and night sights for it, besides maybe the sig, all of what I listed should easily stay under $1k.
thinking about filing down part of the hammer on my Saiga 7.62x39 to make the trigger less shit. If someone tells me to convert it, obviously I can't do that... legally.
>>29452974
Couldnt you convert it and put a buthole stock on it?...... Where do you live?
>>29453372
Fucking New York :'(
>>29452974
I like the trigger. Quit being a pussy and shoot that fucker.
if all of /k/ who actually owns guns grouped together, how big would we be? would we be:
>a fireteam
>a squad/
section
>a platoon
>a company
>a battalion
>a regiment/
brigade
>a division
>a corps
>>29452893
I would think maybe a company.
We could probably arm a regiment though.
>>29452893
Are we counting the number of people, or total body mass?
>>29452893
Company that could MAYBE arm a batallion
A reigmemt is over 3000 troopers.
Can someone here explain to me how a non reciprocating charging handle doesn't "flop" when you're firing? Like, if the action fast enough that it doesn't have time or is it actually locked in place somehow to where it'll only move when pulled not when fired?
Also, in a short stroke piston, where does the buffer spring go?
>>29452793
It does, but it's of no consequence because it's not being forced back, it simply jumps back and forth a little if you don't hold it forward.
Also, the only design that has a buffer spring is an AR (at least that I know of)
Short stroke gas piston rifles typically have the spring behind the main portion of the piston, or occasionally surrounding the entire thing.
>>29452793
It is disengaged.
>>29452793
ars have a latch that locks into a notch on the reciver

His mom has some big old titties.
So, never used semi wad cutters before, is that just a revolver type thing? Because i keep getting failure to eject every single time with my semi auto.
Im still at the range.
Stove pipe.
>>29452115
Wouldn't the wadcutter shape be more likely to cause failures to feed? Unless the rim of the fired case is getting caught up on the next round in the magazine or something.
Can you cycle the action by hand smoothly?
>>29452115
No problems with a single round in the magazine. But two or more is a no go.
If shit were to hit the fan, should you take into consideration the more common types of ammo out there when picking your primary weapon?
.22 caliber
>>29451622
.223 for a rifle and 9mm for a handgun
>>29451622
.22, .223/556, 9mm, 45acp, .308
Alright k, I got my Eotech money back finally. I sent mine in back during the first week of January. That's almost a four month turn around time for anyone wondering if their check will ever come in.
So now I'm sitting on a $1100 check. What would k buy with this? I have two 5.56 rifles, a shotgun, concealed pistol and a full sized pistol. Any recommendations on nuggets?
pic not related.
An ACOG.
Vortex prism 1x or 3x and the rest for ammo or gun fund.
So recently got this and a few jap medals was wondering what this is, and what it says if anyone could translate.
>>29451316
Go see if your local uni has a Japanese department or a good ww2 history department and ask them>>29451316
>>29451316
I'm a Japanese major.
It says, and I'm paraphrasing here, it's an idiom unique to Japan so I can't really translate it perfectly, "Glorious nippon steel folded over one thousand times, plane wings sharp like katana, filthy gaijin go home."
Hope that answers your question :)

I fucking new it !
