I need a semi-auto pistol with a hammer that you do not have to rack the slide on to cock and works similarly to a double action revolver
what guns do this?
>>29985650
The one pictured, with an LEM trigger. Most popular DA/SA guns have a DAO variant.
Technically D/SA is double action. Just thought I'd get that out of the way.
>>29985669
Anything smaller than that for CC?
>>29985650
You know what you must do. Legion or bust.

Full auto is meant for suppression but would it also be viable in a self defense situation?
>>29985306
If you are within 15 meters of your attacker then yeah, id use it.
>>29985306
You should be suppressing with semi automatic shots spaced 2-3 seconds apart, no on full auto.
>>29985306
id use a beretta 93r for home defense
Fuck /k/.
I did it again. I changed my mind about which MOS to join.
MEPS is Monday and I need to choose soon.
Yes, I know I will be dying for Israel, yes I know Cav Scouts basically do Infantry's job.
Other than those reasons, which should I do. Help me out /k/. Experiences? Thoughts?

Probably as option if Bumerang ends up as shit.

The two serve different roles and were developed together, not as a replacement.
Also good luck slinging a Bumerang out of an 76. That's what the BMDs are for.

But seriously why are there overnight 5 brands of lever action shotguns for Australia? Its an alternate reality where the pump action was never invented now
>>29984580
Aren't they trying to ban pump action shotguns down under?
>>29984670
Pumps were restricted (heavily) with semi autos in 1996
Hence why we have 5 brands of lever action shotguns
>>29984681
That's some fucking logic. Pumps aren't any better than levers in terms of anything that matters.
Of course your country doesn't really get that
Selling my S&W 29 for $800 to my local gun store because I'm in the market for a 1911. The 29 is fucking legit but impractical. So I'm almost 100% sold on a SR1911 Commander. Not the aluminum frame. Going for all steel. Am I making the right decision? Is there something close in price that I should be looking at instead?
Also general 1911 thread
the Rugers go for significantly less than 800, but i'm sure you know that. in their price range they are one of the better made options. made in America and have a good after sale service.
for 800 your choices open up some. and it really matters what kinda options you find important in a 1911 to really home in on an exact gun. (like more modern parts or classic parts) i myself would look at Springfield, Colt, CZ, and indeed Ruger. however i'm sure some anon will come riding in here waving his Rock Island boner. i personally think you could do better, after all you're selling a model 29..
>>29984497
5" Government model or go home. Commander and Officer model 1911s are a shit.
>>29984497
IMO the SR1911 is the best "bang for your buck" 1911.
are shemaghs/keffiyehs tacticool memes, or are they actually useful?
They're useful memes.

Trying to find out if a subscription is worth the money.
don't be a chump, OP
make your own box and load it up with tasty sardines
>>29983869
Haha idk it seems like a good deal if you don't know what you're buying when it comes to medkits, emp-related shit, etc..
Plus, the price you pay is less than the added msrp value of the things inside the box.
Seems alright to me
>>29983829
Of course it's not worth the money. They send you one mediocre thing that you did not choose and a fistful of cheap promo garbage. Just buy yourself one nice thing every month if you insist on being a manchild that squeals in delight whenever the UPS man delivers your latest impulse buy.
Who makes really good operator packs? What is a reasonable sized bag I should get for /k/ related proposes, like in a SHTF type scenario or a short term bug out?
Should I spend the money on Mystery Ranch or Arc'teryx, or are these just all memes?
what do ya'll think of 5.11's rush packs?
>>29983815
goruck gr2(3day pack) or gr1(assault pack), mystery ranch sweet pea(3day pack), direct action ghost(3day pack) or dragon egg(assault pack).
assault packs are about the size of a standard jansport backpack or for reference a us army assault pack.
3 day packs are slightly larger. Slightly too big to be carrying around school or office job everyday, too small to carry enough shit for a week long camping trip(you could, but would require excellent organization skills).
In terms of which company to go with....
Goruck has the best overall warranty and customer service, and the packs are nearly indestructable since they build them thick. If you ever tear or break the damn bag, they will fix it free, minus the shipping fee to them.
Direct action, makes good quality bags with a great selection of colors. They are the lightest bags of these 3 companies. They actually give a decent description of what the bags were built for. These are also cheaper than both other companies. This is a fairly new company, so they still focus on quality, with brand new packs having not a stitch or thread out of place.
Mystery ranch makes the most comfortable packs, period. They have perfected back and shoulder comfort for backpacking. Now, the negatives....warranty is non existant, if you break something, they take their sweet time getting the bag back to you, and charge you an outrageous repair fee. If you are going to go with Mystery ranch, stick with the civilian oriented packs, the military packs are too cluttered and not worth it for the extra molle and pricepoint. An example of clutter would be, to toss a sweatshirt into the 3 day assault pack requires the opening of not just the top flap, but most of the main zipper that runs down the pack. The internal pockets found in the trizip military packs are flimsy and get in the way of top loading most things.
Hopefully this info helps.
