In September I'll have a 25 hour layover in Amsterdam.

Honestly, I don't give a fuck about smoking weed, buying a whore, or visiting the house of jew. I just want to go explore some WW2 sites, bunkers and shit.

Where do I go? There has to be things like this not far from the city right? Anyone?

Hilarious video though. I wonder if there are VR training sims that use controllers with realistic weight and recoil? Imaging all the money you'd save by just picking up a virtual CZ75 and training in your living room!

Hey /k/ Califag here. I'm looking to buy a 10/22 and throw a bullpup stock on it but my question is does it require a bullet button? I couldn't find an up to date answer that satisfied me and from what I understand rim fire guns are exempt from the Bb laws but I just want to be sure.

I've heard stories about tanks being disabled in the middle of a combat zone, and they heard RPGs hitting them like "thud.... thud" and I recall hearing about one tank crew in a disabled tank taking over 50 RPG and missile hits.

Something ridiculous.

Firstly... is this true?

Secondly, does this mean the only way to kill the crew of a disabled tank is to pile wood under and around the tank, and burn them out?

How horrifying.
46 posts and 11 images submitted.
>>
>>29986237
If you are crazy enough to try and siege a disabled tank I don't think starting a bonfire around it is going to help.

You know that a tank crew can still move the turret and fire both the coax machinegun and the main gun without power?

Sure loading the main gun is a bitch in manual mode but it can be done.

The Abrams can take an amazing amount of punishment. But most of the stories you hear of one taking dozens of RPG's is from the stupid Haji's not removing the arming pins from the rockets. They just stick them in the launch tube and send it off.
>>
>>29986237

>is this true?
It could be but probably isnt. If the armor is heavy enogh to withstand a RPG then more RPGs wont do anything if they dont hit the exact same spot.

>Secondly, does this mean the only way to kill the crew of a disabled tank is to pile wood under and around the tank, and burn them out?

First of all, most tanks are well protected against fire and can even take a direct hit from a napalm bomb. So that would be stupid. If the tank is disabled then just leave a guard there, they will come out eventually. Or just use a bigger AT weapon.

better than a fucking Glock 19 or Glock 26, or even a Glock 43 if you really want to get small.

Things like the CZ's, the High-Powers, the Beretta 92's, the P226/8/9, the 1911's, The USP's and other H&K's, The Five-seveN, I get it. They're not the same design, people have different sized hands, what the fuck ever it is you want to say. The ones I listed above, though, are for all intents and purposes, a Glock 26/19/43 made by different companies. WHAT makes them better, and I want to know exactly what, not some generalized bullshit about how it feels nicer. TECHNICALLY, WHAT makes them considerable over the Glocks that I listed above. The Glocks fucking feel better. You can get a fucking Glock 26 and keep 33rnd mags at home for HD by itself and it'd be totally usable, and then CC it with flush mags no fucking problem. it could literally be your CC and HD gun.

What is OBJECTIVELY IMPROVED on these listed guns OVER the Glocks I listed. Do they hold more rounds in a flush magazine? Are they more reliable or durable, if so, why is that? Do they have better safety features than the Glock? I want to know why these guns exist. Glocks aren't the most expensive handguns. You can buy any Glock for around $600 new and yes, some of these cost a tad less, but if you want to pull that argument straight out of the gate, then to you I say: You get what you pay for.

So, tell me. Explain to me, people who picked one of those handguns I listed over one of the Glocks I listed, why did you do that? This shit gets shilled way too much for what it is. You shill a Glock, a 1911, etc. Those are huge. What the fuck is a Shield and why should I give a fuck?

So, as I've learned, basically everything the general population believes about a modern nuclear war is wrong. It will not end the world, it would not cause a nuclear winter or firestorms, civilian losses would not be much bigger than in WWII, and so on.
So, if massive employment of strategic nuclear weapons is actually entirely feasible and workable strategy that will not end the world, and nuclear deterrence is a sham essentially, why haven't anyone resorted to its use yet?

Because the leaders of the nation's like being leaders.
Nuclear war isn't a fucking cakewalk. It'll destroy loads of infrastructure , etc. We all lose, that's why.
OPPENHEIMER , I summon you!
>>
Because the political leadershit comes from what you call the general population and usually is not educated enough to understand neither the physics of nookular combat any further than "oh shit thats scary", nor the stragegems that would play into something like a global thermonuclear war. This results a general "nukes are bad mkay" attitude, supported by ignorance, misunderstandings and 50's memes (>fallout) which stops them from ordering nuclear forces to deploy.
>>
>>29986154
Because thermonuclear warfare isn't something you can just shrug off just because things wouldn't actually end up like Fallout or On the Beach.

Ive got pic related.
UK here and real guns are somewhat hard to come by, a lot of hoops to jump through to do it legit and Id rather not even attempt to buy a gun illegally.
Anyway, my air pistol when fired at a paper back book tore 37 pages and the cover which was a little thicker, and left a visible mark on another 20 or....how much damage could this do to a person?? Pretty sure if i shot someone in the eye then that eye is fucked for life and it would definately break skin but i doubt it would be lethal.

Its most definitely not a toy and i dont use it for self defense, I go target shooting from time to time, im just wondering how much damage this can do to a person....im fairly accurate with it, i can hit a cigarette at 30 feet....but beyond that wind and drop become factors....point being...if i shot all 6 bbs at someones face at close range do you think it would incapacitate them at all or just piss them off?
>>
>>29986140
I think your only hope would be to hit them in the eyes. Good luck tho.

TRIGGERED

It won't happen anytime soon at least, I can see the marines keeping their current camo for another 10 or so years at least, all other branches are sometimes allowed to use a multicam derivative when working with the army, that's about as close as we'll see for a while.
>>
>>29986004
Muhreens resist the idea of looking like anything like the army since they are a bunch of special snowflakes.
>>
>>29986004
The Air Force and Marines are living evidence that nothing will ever be unified. They are so unnecessary that they needed congress to make sure the Army didn't absorb them.

By process of elimination, we can discard the M14 (never properly bedded), M14 EBR (frontheavy POS) and VSS (arguably not a DMR).
That just leaves 2 SVDs, 2 AR10s and a SCAR. At that point, its just personal preference and mission profile desu.
