Why hasn't anyone made a special snowflake rifle that loads magazine on the top yet? If bullpups could do that they wouldn't be so ugly.

>>30215041
I was looking at one a few years ago, but I got a chiappa rhino instead.

Is that better? Or more concealable
Tell him you want a Model 629 instead and then he'll be so proud that you're no longer a faggot he'll get you the nice .44 Mag.
Alright, so a couple years ago when I was but a young fag I had a bitch of girlfriend. One day I decided to break up with her because she was a total bitch and wasted all my money. I tell to be out of my apartment by the end of the day and when I get back from work she took some of my shit as well. It was mainly CDs, DVDs, and shit but she took my Cobray M-11(Was time where I thought I could trust her with its location). So around January this year I get a phone call saying from the police all the way in Tennessee saying they found a weapon registered to me being pawned. No details how it got there but after the investigation into the pawn shop I finally got it back today. I shall celebrate his return by firing many a rounds at the range this weekend.
Happy for you anon. I watched many an 80's action movies as a youngin', so compact smg's have always been my favorite.

X54r is so boring and a drag, I prefer 44 magnum

>no irons, only optic
What was so hard about making it still retain the looks and function of the base nugget?
>>30214719
Sleep well noble soldier. Your sacrifice won't be forgotten.
>>30214745
The barrel would have been too thick, and the wood too brittle after being widened. I elected to keep it weighted as such, and putting a forward optic knowing the limitations of the cartridge.
That said, the rifle was horribly sporterized and in terrible condition before I even got my hands on it. So I gave it a second life
I just talked with an ex-mercenary which was in africa in the 80's, ask me anything you want.
Is role playing on /k/ really that fun?
>>30214593
Nah, we already had that guy do an AMA over 3 threads while he failed to provide a single scrap of proof.
Why would anyone ask YOU anything? You're a nobody who happened to meet someone else.
Anyone have more pictures of backpacks like this? I have a plain-jane 5.11 rush 12 that I want to put some random bullshit on so when I hike the local mountains I can feel cool. So i need some inspiration.
>>30214574
Hanging a bunch of shit off a pack to make a messy clusterfuck is not tacticool or tactical.
It is quite literally the opposite of high speed, low drag.
>>30214600
that's the joke you fuckin retard
>I want to put some random bullshit on so when I hike the local mountains I can feel cool.
Are you some kind of retarded twat?

In the event of a large-scale war between two modern armies, how quickly would both sides run out of the ultra expensive ultra modern equipment and resort to cheaper equipment?
I.E Eurofighters -> F-16s (or cheaper)
>>30214308
Well large scale war between 2 major up to date country's would be a fight between who would blink first.
As always the attacker will have the disadvantage unless they surprise their rival. Which with modern tech and spy hardware it will be very very hard to mount a surprise attack with large enough force that it would make a difference.
In order for a surprise attack to happen, the opposing country would have no reason to believe they would be betrayed and would leave their army's at home instead of at the border.
From which the attacking force would focus on destroying or capturing their equipment. Forcing the defending force into a guerilla war with limited and out-dated equipment and supplies.
The defending force would have to start cutting off supply lines and destroying bridges/roads to slow down enemy movement to even stand a chance.
Hiding in the woods would do you no good seeing as thermal optics can point you out without a problem. Meaning most fights would be in the cities close to civilians resulting in civilian casualty's.
The offensive force would see such acts as terrorism and most likely use it as an excuse to bring in more supply's and support for their cause.
All in all it would take only a matter of weeks before the modern tech gets wiped out. Making any form of real resistance futile and just seen as pointless death.
You can't just win with an army, you need support of your people to.
>>30214308
I have always questioned that myself...
Other fantasy I have is planes become piss-easy to hack at a distance and we have to resort to modernized prop fighters.
>>30215848
That's why they still need an analog switch to arm the weapons on even the most digital of fighters and drones. You cannot hack arm and fire from any modern aircraft without being there to flip the switch.
It's a good thing that most generals are paranoid.
Is there any reason the old C79 is so expensive other than muh CF raifu cosplay?

Dear /K/
I recently received a large amount of Cabela's gift cards as a bonus at my job. Yes, I am a lucky little shit. Yes, I despise Cabela's but I ain't gonna say no.
I have one of just about everything at this point. Honestly, just way too much. I love handguns and I am simply bored with most normal things. I also cast and/or handload everything.
What would you get (first) if you had the choice of only these 4 guns?
A. Stainless Deagle in .50 AE with muzzle brake. (Power, meme gun, funny as hell, can't hunt with it in PA, gas system hates non-jacketed bullets, non-IMI gun)
B. Ruger Super Blackhawk in .454 (More power, reliable, can hunt with it, probably indestructible, a bit fudlike, ouch that grip)
C. 4" S&W 500 Magnum (Even more power, reliable, awesome muzzle flash, awesome chest thump, massive recoil, wide array of loads, can hunt elephants, semi-meme gun)
D. Same as above but the 8 3/8 barrel. (Most power, high velicity, better at stabilizing heavier bullets, better sight radius, probably able to reach out farther with the sights, more controllable, heavy)
Thoughts? I like power and have plenty of big bore hand cannons. I am curious about what most people would choose here and why.
>>30214185
Give me your address OP, I've got plenty of power and you'll have a big bore when I'm done with you.
.460 S&W Mag
>>30214237
I know this is the logical choice. I just hate logic.
Nice thing is that I already shoot and reload for .454.
>Be me. Anon.
> Try to join the Marines at 17.
>They won’t take me due to snapped ankle from freerunning. (Faglifeik.)
>ISIS becomes one
>See my chance to redeem myself.
>Buy gear I need
(back story.)
My father retired from the 101st Airborne as a Captain. So my entire life has been nothing but military
And LE stuff. For ex. He would come into my room, destroy it, make me clean it and then destroy it again; just to make sure I knew what the fuck I was doing. He’s trained me from tactical operations, severe trauma wounds, extensive firefight (He’s a prepper as well. Fuck you.) and the essential breathing you need to control your adrenaline whilst under extreme pressure.
>Ticket cost an assload – whatever.
>Pre ship my gear to the cords that the group told me to ship them to.
>Buy plane ticket
>Flight takes me to Eqypt, then after a 3 hour delay – We finally fly out to Ramadi.
>Land
>Hit the tarmac and book it to the terminal where someone is waiting for me
>Meet them – her name is Afsoon. Gorgeous. I mean, drop dead gorgeous.
>Leads me back to an MRAP that’s backed up to a loading bay door dock
>MRAP back door opens to reveal 10 heavily armed men covered in black with tan MOLLE vests
>It’s the Iraqi Special Forces.
>Holyfuckingshit.jpg.
>Get in, they have my gear in a box in the center cab of the MRAP
>Load up, make sure my magazines are checked. Double check. Good to go
>Get to the F.O.B. and set up my quarters
>Hear something unusual coming from the back of the barracks
>Grab my I.S.F. weapon – which is a scavenged RPK with 600 rounds – three 200 rounds drum mags.
>Light a cigarette and start to low jog under the hescos to a point where I can find the music
(Have more if you guys want the rest.)
Keep going.
>200 round drum mag
dont bother with the rest

this sounds like a load of utter bollocks
Is there a minimum enlistment length for new officers? Can an officer serve for a few years and get out like enlisted personnel?
10 years or longer as required by the United States government.
>>30214044
Lies. Do your research, OP. Call recruiters, read the fine print, etc...
Officers don't have "enlistments" dumbass
There is endless shilling about optics out there, but I'm reading reviews wherein EOTech stuff is getting yanked for Chinese stuff.
Good warranty Chinese stuff, but IDK.
A disturbance in the force, or whatever.
Opinions, /komrades/ is it a meme?
I'm also seeing shat about using their magnifiers as a replacement for domestic widgetst, but that's probably worth its own thread.
tl:dr: WTF?!?
>issue a full refund for your products on account of them being overpriced junk
>wonder why people don't want to use them any more

I don't even think it looks cool
and by fucked up special armour layout I mean leaving the lower glacias un armoured entirely what the FUCK

Abrams armours only lower, but atleast the upper doesn't look retarded as hell with that channel down to the driver periscope
