I just got a hefty amount of money and plan to either get into SASS shooting or buy some cool futuristic guns. But I'm not a John Marston cosplaying tool so it will probably be the latter.
I want to buy some unique looking guns, Right now I'm looking at gats for pure novelty such as the Kriss Vector, Chiappa Rhino, or ARX160. I'm also a CaliFag so theres that. What should I buy? Were looking at a ~$3,200 budget. Also an NRA Instructor so I don't plan to spend money on training.
>Califag
Bus ticket to Phoenix.
buy a GOA membership, the NRA got you where you are today

You would have to get a single action Rhino and then have a gun smith convert it to double action. Or buy used, but I recommend buying new.
what the fuck is this shit?
>finally a rifle for Californians
I know what I'm getting next

>>30512276

Is .38 super a meme round? Why is it so popular with drug cartels?
>>30511252
>Is .38 super a meme round?
Yeah, kind of.
>Why is it so popular with drug cartels?
Because it's legal to own .38 super in Mexico
>>30511252
>Why is it so popular with drug cartels
Because in Mexico you can't (or they make it real difficult, I'm not a Mexican lawyer) own a gun chambered for a common military cartridge.
Italy has similar laws which is why 9x21mm is popular there as an alternative to 9x19.
>>30511252
Back in the prohibition era it was actually pretty potent, it'd penetrate armor and car bodies which .38S&W or .38 Special didn't
In Mexico, and many parts of South America, .45ACP and 9mm Luged are "military" cartridges, and .357 is often restricted for other faggot reasons, so .38 Super is one of the few pistol cartridges north of .380ACP which is legal.
Any accessories or modifications you guys recommend? Be gentle, I just converted from a mini-14 guy.

I have a SW MP AR15. They're ok ARs.
first thing to do is replace the front sight post/gas block with a low profile gas block. Then put on a freeloating hand guard like a Troy Alpha.
change out the A2 flash suppressor muzzle device with quality muzzle brake like a Miculek.
quality metal iron sights. Kinghts Armaments makes good ones that fold down, compact, and you can adjust the rear for range.
>>30511011
so, generic stock/grip/trigger aside, you're basically just telling them to keep the barrel, bgc, and receivers
then what's the point of saying it's okay?
>>30510883
what are you going to do if someone here said it was garbage? return it? nope. sure, tell us you bought an AR in the fucking AR thread, but don't seek shopping gratification from us in a stand alone thread
>>30510883
I bought an M&P15 years ago. Aside from a defective spring that needed to be changed out to keep proper bolt hold open, I have had zero problems with it over the years.
As for accessories, I'm the kinda guy who will tell you not to go crazy with it until you shoot a bit an figure out what you like. I ended up going with a Ergo grip, Troy BUIS, free float rail, and low profile gasblock.
For now, until you decide to put a bunch of stuff on the rifle though, those plastic grips as actually quite comfy. I'd keep them until you get another good set, don't settle for quadrails, which suck.

Let's assume you have a massive supply of ordnance and maintenance ability as well, and the year is 1861 and you and your weapons squads are attached to stonewall Jackson's army.
What is the minimum number of M2s you'd need to, say, force peace with the union by taking Washington in a bold gambit?
From a tactical standpoint, they would be invaluable alone-the enemy would not be able to approach without getting absolutely mauled, but the use of artillery would make a significant challenge from afar.
Do you think a handful of these could make a gross difference in the war? Considering the massed formation tactics, I believe it is possible.
Not a time traveler.
Just one in a battle could change the outcome, I would imagine 2 or 3 at Gettysburg bringing a Confederate victory.
