No fucking way this is right.

The store wasn't even ripping people off.
I just want to do small holes in paper at 50 yards.

asking retail for a trials gun.
>>30504874
You want a TRG-42 for 50 yards?
>>30504968
One of the examples that wasn't used... And it's a trials gun, so it's pretty cool IMO.
On a budget. Needs to be under $1500.
save up another 1500 and get a scar 17
buy once cry once

Whilst it is much discussed about the Pacific side of the Japanese in WW2, I think we could talk about Japan's campaing in China.
What does /k/ think about it? How was the campaing in Manchuria? What about core China? How fucked up was the army when faced with Chinese guerillas? What could have been done for better results to be achieved?
It's just not very interesting.
>Jap kills Chink
>Jap gets tired of killing Chinks
>repeat
It was a pretty miserable campaign for both sides. Japan was actually stuck in a quagmire, bogging down 1 million + men in some pretty heavy fighting. They had taken upwards of 500,000 casualties in China even before bombing pearl harbor and opening up a 2nd front for them.
China for its part couldn't throw out the Japanese and was just trying to outlast them, enduring huge atrocities against civilians and enormous losses along the way.
It was also the most old-fashioned front of WW2. Cavalry, long infantry marches, and classic artillery dominated the fighting all the way until 1945.
>>30504783
Manchuria went well for the Jap's actually, it was when they advanced further into China proper that they were met with resistance in abundance.
Of course, they met more resistance with more brutality. I can't begin to describe what they did... Nanking being the worst case IMO

This cracks me up every time when they throw the same options which are either already in place or unconstitutional as fuck
Inb4 /pol/ bread
>>30504493
I'm honestly depressed over the future of gun rights. It doesn't seem like they'll ever be back at their glory.
It's depressing people even consider these options
>>30504512
If you look at it a certain way, things took a sharp dip in '86 with the machine gun ban, but have climbed back up nationwide as concealed carry permits have mushroomed over the past decade.
The handful of states that never really appreciated Freedom got worse, while the 45 or so other states expanded gun rights.
what's the problem with better mental healthcare? Even if there wasn't mass amount of shootings by mentally unstable individuals, we still need better understanding on mental health. We're a step from electroshock and lobotomy, sure, but we still need a bigger driving focus on the whole field anyways..

Why is this so heavy?
>Savage Stevens 320
>12 Guage
>5 round magazine
> $190
So what's the catch? Why is it so fucking cheap? Is there something wrong with it?
Does it make a good poor fag shotgun? What does a more expensive shotgun offer over this?
What are some other good models of shotguns? I hear the Mossberg 590 and 590a1 are supposed to be top tier.
What are some good semi auto shotguns? Is there any issues with semis other than being more spendy than a pump? I would have thought they'd been more popular than they are.
no
Get the hawk 982
It is 306% better, for the same cost
- better reciever
- more aftermarket
- better sights
- better
- superior
- buy it now

Okay, but why are they like half the price of a Remington 870?
Like what's up with this extreme value? Seems sketchy.

Made by the chinks
Norinco-level quality in my opinion. Probably operated by a norinco partner, desu
Costs them about $20 to make it.
There isn't a catch, really. When you buy it, just be sure to replace the sight screws with American ones. The ones that come with it are kind of soft metal
That's the only really downside.
Just ordered a slug mold, lead melter, ladle, shell vise and roll crimp tool in order to start converting 12 gauge birdshot loads to slugs.
Any tips for a beginner casting bullets? Any gadgets that I missed?
Shotgun reloading general?
>>30503783
Can't normally roll crimp Lee slugs.
>>30504163
Why not, are they too long?
>>30504298
Lee designed their slugs to be used with a standard shot cup and star crimp.
They are skinny with a round nose. The roll does not even contact the slug. You would need a fairly sturdy overshot card to hold it together.
I just finished firing my new ad 15 in my hallway when this thing flew out of the barrel. What the hell is it and how can it handle those temps??
Is this the bug out bag you guys talk about?
>>30503610
kill it with fire
>>30503631
I pushed it into my neighbours door gap.
What is the best 1911 for around $1000 bucks?
>>30503002
List of preference:
1. Springfield
2. ParaUSA
3. Kimber
4. Smith & Wesson
You can get a brand new Springfield Range Officer for $1000 from Cabelas, and elsehwere used for even cheaper.
Used TRP's can be around $1100, I'd get one of those if I wasn't a goddamn poor bastard
>>30503002
If I had $1000 for a 1911 I'd buy a Ruger SR1911 and spend the rest on ammo and magazines.
>>30503002
A used Dan Wesson maybe, but you'd have to be lucky.
CZ makes a mostly stock 1911A1 GI in the $800 range
>>30503091
>Kimber
No, they've been garbage for the past 16 years.
I need more of this shit. Dump whatcha got.
Sorry if you guys have seen this before. I thought tumblr was supposed to respect "triggers."
I will not quit my fun because you volunteered to play G.I. Joe and it was scarier than you thought it would be.
>complaining about people being immature on the internet because it's a specific case that applies to something you have personal thoughts about
protip: people do it all the time, giving it attention validates it, and people could care less
>>30502760
What about Vietnam vets? Not all of those guys volunteered, douchebag.
Hey /k/ anybody know where to get a barrel and receiver for this and is it even worth getting a parts kit for $700?
No, and no. Check with a local gunsmith and see if they can point you to a friend of a friend of a cousin of a guy who works with metal.
Or get an ar15/10/fal/fnc/ptr/g3/g56/m1a/m14/30/ak like the rest of us.
I mean look at you, with you're hipster ass gun and it's complete lack of aftermarket parts availability.
Feel bad for your choice of raifu.
>>30502674
unless you have like $2000 to drop, stay the fuck away from obscure shit like that
even if you do have the money, get something like an fs2000 or a scar
buy a fucking fal if you want a euro battle rifle
>>30502674
STGW's are very scarce stateside because the fucking swiss are hoarding them for themselves, so either find a full one or get a kit that parts are available for
Picking up my first home defense shotgun, a Mossberg 590A1, 9 Shot with XS Ghost Ring Sights. What items should I get for it that would make it suitable for home defense, but not tacti-cool. Stuff like shell slings, side-saddles, and a weaponlight.
My question is, /k/ommandos, what brands should I buy from, as I am I first time owner?
>pic very-much related
>>30502340
>what items should I get for it that would make it suitable for home defense, but not tacti-cool.
Get a bayonet and a bunch of buckshot. Maybe a light if you're paranoid.
>>30502340
Surefire, while sometimes pricey, makes very good, durable shit.
Mesa tactical makes pretty decent stuff from what I've heard.
Lots of guys also don't seem to mind glueing a patch of Velcro to the side of the receiver and using Velcro backed shell carriers. The advantage is its lighter, if the shell holders start to get loose you just buy more.
Maybe not as durable as aluminum but a better SUPER long term solution as they're far easier to replace. Also nice for three gun and the like and carrying more shells. Feed the gun from your side saddle, and when you run out slap another one on. No weird ass belts or anything.
Also despite what others might say you NEED a wml mounted to your gun if its for defense. After all one of the safety rules is to KNOW your target and what's beyond it. Far too many innocents killed by people who didn't identify their target.
dont buy a shell sling they are piles of shit that make everything unbalanced
