What's your opinion on Stag Arms?
ATFraided/10
>>30509231
/k/ considers it one of the few ARs that its ok to buy complete, but will still suggest you build your own
>>30509255
Did it have an impact on product quality or customer service?
Ordinary weapons won't cut it.
>>30507420
I'd build a weapon powered by OP's faggotry as it has no bounds whatsoever
>>30507427
Then that weapon would be severely under-powered.
Hardly enough for something as strong as this thing.

General thread about these folks. Anyone out there one of these rangers? if so what is it like?
Sounds super cool in theory and then I think about how retarded it is to put yourself in warzone levels of danger to only potentially stop an insignificant amount of poachers, all of whom are entirely indifferent to killing you or your friends for whatever animal you're protecting.
Not to mention the fact that 90% of your time would be spent on boring shit like logistics and interacting with nigger locals. If I wanted civilian combat opportunities I'd rather join a PMC active innamiddleeast.
>>30504595

>>30504695
>an insignificant amount of poachers
Confirmed for knowing nothing. The amount of poachers is huge due to their backwards ass culture thinking that shit like Rhino horns is going to cure cancer.
Poaching is a serious, serious problem, it's not insignificant in any matter, especially in effect on animals like the Northern White Rhino, which only have three left in the world. They are also guarded 24/7 by armed guards, because again, fucking shitskin Africans think these things have magical properties.
This thread is not for political discussion, but rather for a discussing the new gun control laws recently passed in California along with discussing the details of the firearms that these laws pertain to. As such this thread has good reason to be on the weapons related board.
I've gone over the 6 bills which Governor Jerry Brown signed today and done my best to explain them in amateur legal speak. I've also collected links to the actual bills, which I urge all to read for themselves.
This important stuff. This is weapons related stuff. This content belongs on /k/ as much as the 2nd amendment protects the right to buy ammunition without a background check, and the possession of well regulated arms includes firearms comparable to those carried and utilized by the government and police.
Without further ado,
Six new laws infringing upon the natural right of self defense and self determination were signed into effect today. The once great state of California has taken yet another step in the direction of an Orwellian authoritarian government. If a total monopoly on the means of coercive force is held by the state, then it is impossible for the state to exists by the true consent of the governed.
It should be considered that since the 90's firearms homicides have been steadily declining in this country. When our government passes laws, it is important that we ask why, as opposed to asking why not. There is obviously a gun control agenda, and it is increasingly dubious as to whether its primary concern is the safety and lives of citizens, or the disarmament and political disenfranchisement of the population.

Senate Bill 1235 requires individuals to submit to a background check and be entered into a state database in order to purchase ammunition. Sellers of ammunition will be required to hold an ammunition vendor's license. All transfers of ammunition will be required to be recorded by the license holder with the purchaser's name, address, and phone number. This creates a statewide registry of citizens who have bought ammunition legally.

Senate Bill 1446 Is an outright ban on the possession of firearm magazines with capacities greater than 10 rounds. There is no clause for grandfathering in magazines acquired before the ban. The law reads :
1) Remove the large-capacity magazine from the state.
(2) Prior to July 1, 2017, sell the large-capacity magazine to a licensed firearms dealer.
(3) Destroy the large-capacity magazine.
(4) Surrender the large-capacity magazine to a law enforcement agency for destruction.

Senate Bill 880 and Assembly Bill 1135 expand the state's legal definition of "assault rifle" to include rifles with detachable magazines which are released by the actuation of a "bullet button". A "bullet button" is a specially designed magazine release which requires a small tool to actuate. This expansion bans the unregistered possession of rifles with such specially designed magazine releases. This expansion broadens the scope of the "assault rifle" registry to now include rifles which have devices specifically designed and installed to prevent the expedient reloading of magazines. It should be noted that rifles of all types kill fewer than 500 U.S. citizens each year, while Influenza kills on average 30,000 people annually.

Did I fucking miss something here? I was browsing gun broker and saw this shit on the front page. $900 for an entry AR with no irons plus a shitty railed gas block? This is some kind of bait right?
Also post gun broker, armslist, etc, atrocities

people are cheaper-than-dirting
Welcome to gunbroker
alright /k/, where do you get your ammo. I'm looking at picking up some bulk .308, but my allowable budget is about $250. what options do I have?

>tfw my source for Hirtenberger never shows up on those lists
Feels good, man.
so, is WPA any good? in terms of reliability? and possibly OK accuracy? I'm not looking for sub-moa stuff but something that's at least comparable to mil-spec. would be preferred
I see ads like this one on armslist often in the maine listings. Near identical ads but all from different posters. "Post war .25 autos" or something similar and the ad has a different pic of an old semi or a snub nose revolver. The text is usually along the same lines and often mentions multiple guns available, privacy of gun ownership/cash and carry yardsale etc. I'm all for that and would rather handle private gun sales privately with cash and without hillary & company's nose in it. But I'm not looking to be involved in anything illegal ie. police sting trying to entice felons etc into buying pocket pistols/ saturday night specials.
Is this one vehemently private person selling quality antiques under different email addresses? Is it a shine using burner emails to sell stolen handguns? Is it the police using burner emails to entrap innocent citizens? I've been getting ready to email this dude in a couple weeks when I'm fully moved into the area but wanted to step back and get a couple additional opinions before I get spun up in something shitty by accident.

sounds like old kook gunselling lingo. nothing illegal about private transactions in maine, as long as you don't say you're crazy and he doesn't say they're stolen you're g2g.
>>30515064
You're fine legally speaking.
Couple of things though:
>get a bill of sale
>bring a gun
>bring a friend with a gun
>don't be an asshole
>>30515183
Yeah, but you'd have one heck of a time explaining why you're in possession of a stolen firearm.
100 jap Zeros v 1 F35: who wins?
The f-35 runs out of ammo and leaves

could the zeros ammo even hit the f35 at that speed?

I'm interested in getting a 1911 just to say I have one, even though I'm really turned off by the low 7-8rd capacity.
I'd rather use an FNX and have 17 rounds of .45...
Anyways, I'm really overwhelmed by the options, can anyone help me out? I don't mind spending up to 1500, but if I can get an acceptable one under 1000, then I will.
Help me.
>>30514468
Rock Island Armory, basic, cheap, durable, functional, a basic GI model can be had for as little as $350 and is a good value purchase.
If you want to splurge, there's always Dan Wesson.
Since you'd rather a hicap for .45, consider getting a pistol in a caliber you don't have, just for the sake of it feeling different, like .38 Super, .40S&W, 10mm, or .45 Super
Avoid Kimber brand guns, they're dogshit.
>>30514468
The FNX is cool and all but outside of capacity, I think the 1911 is a better gun.
>>30514656
Thank you for your input.
So I just got a used Browning A5 at Cabelas for $332. I would like to make it into a reproduction of the Browning A5s used in Rhodesia. My question is, where can I find the 9 shot magazine tube and furniture, along with any other parts I'd need? Pic related, Browning a5 from Google, I'll post pics of mine when I get home, I'm in the car now.
I wanted to get one too but with a rifled slug barrel and expanded tube.
>>30514225
You cant.
Just try to find one at auction. They run about 1400
How the fuck did you get an A5 for 300?
Post pictures I wanna see how fucked up this thing is because I've seen some hideously treated examples that wanted much more.
are war crimes and the roe only items on the escalation list?
certainly there are lines that warplanner's draw, but they're planning for all contingencies, after all. there must be an account for total warfare, where warcrime/roe doctrine are tossed aside, and considered as bullshit to worry about later if ever.
i mean, it's obvious right guys? an open secret right? any public officials comment on this since the red scare days?
>an open secret
Is it even that?
We have a nuclear doctrine and nooks break any number of international laws.
Warcrimes are just what the winners hold against the losers. "Winners" never get charged for warcrimes
>MUH DRESDEN
>>30516202
They were ready and willing to nuke Germany had the war dragged on.
There's a lot of writing about the justifications of total war in regards to WW2 and what they were prepared to do if deemed necessary.
But like >>30516126 says the only recent mentions are from nuclear doctrine.
Did modern urban combat tactics like stacking up, Room Clearing & the meme "slicing the pie" exist in WWI and WWII?

no reason to clear a room when you can shoot through the walls or level the building
If dueling was suddenly made legal for basically any kind of general disagreement I feel that there'd a vast decline in SJWs and hurt feelings being national news. SO, if dueling/trial by combats were to miraculously make a comeback in the current day and age...
>Who would you challenge?
>What specific weapon(s) would you choose for your duel? (Swords, flintlock pistols, long range rifles, banjos?)
>The reason you're challenging this individual/group to a duel? (Killed your father? Kicked your dog? Breathing? Or are you just cleansing the world like that guy in the Watchdogs compilation?)
>Location?
>Witnesses/Judge?

Hi point 380
Heritage rough rider. It's a .22 revolver and usually comes with a .22 magnum cylinder. They're cheap, fun, and .22 mag isn't bad.
