I don't think you could fit it into the bakelite grips. I don't know for sure, but bakelite seems it might be brittle and crack if you did something wrong. Even if it's not, they're way too thin to fit much in. You should probably try making your own special wood grips.

You could probably do a series circuit hookup off of the laser diode, and change that battery for a similar sized 6v. I think there are some that go into pet collars and shit. Just gotta do some browsing. Without knowing the resistance of the diode and the LED, I can't say for sure whether it'll be too much or not enough juice in the current battery. You just have to do some tinkering with it, OP.

It seems the sky is the limit for available voltage.

We can easily get 9.3V using a stack of 365/6 watch batteries -- maybe with one SR55/391 to get the rights spacing to avoid needing to shim the battery compartment.

Do you mean karambits or just curved blades in general?

For karambits, the ring lets you hold onto the knife while doing other stuff. Historically, they were used to harvest rice stalks and then let you tie the stalks together without having to drop the knife. Basically the ring gives you good retention of the knife.

Karambits are kind of like the katanas of the knife world. Decent for what the time and place they were created, but not amazing as some people say and not as shit as others say in reaction to the people who overhype them.

They're pretty good for rapidly slashing somebody to ribbons. But there are far more effective designs.

I got one for maximum edging ... rainbow colours ... it fits my hand well ... but i woulndt use it over my hunting knife..

Its a very good package opener and for scraping dirt off under my nails ... thats it..
Sucks for cutting .. literally 30 cm less "range" than a proper knife ...

Imho its really just edgeing...

I obvsly havent fought with it ... but even if i got into a situation like that id probably just use it as palm support for punching .. you are very limited with cutting/stabbing motions compared to a normal knife...
