>always loved guns since I was a kid
>end up joining the military in a combat MOS
>loved the weapons, appreciate them more than any of the retards I worked with
>get out, start working in a small gun store
>somewhat stressful with all the paperwork, but very educational and mostly fun experience
>leave and acquire more guns
>end up working at the gun counter of a PX on an army base
>slowly lose my love for the guns due to dealing with retards all day
>get promoted super fast because of my knowledge/experience
>lose more love for firearms by dealing with employees who can't be assed to research guns on their own time
>almost never go on /k/ anymore, today being my first time coming here in 3 months
>haven't even gone shooting in 6 months
anything similar happen to anyone here?
what are some ways to bring back my love for the most important hobby in my life?
Build and collect uncommon and rare guns.
This sounds a lot like me with SCUBA, I love it as a hobby but when I started to do it as a job it ruined the fun for me. My advice find a new place to work, or a new hobby.
Competitive shooting.
And get another job away from guns.
Alright /k/ I need help, I don't know where else to turn.
It's dove season, I've gone out a few times.
I bought three cases of 2 3/4 7 1/2 shot
$20.00 each
I outright miss half the birds I shoot at.
But that's not the issue, the issue is the half I hit, maybe 1/3rd of them drop dead. Another 1/3rd are forced to land, often a hundred or so yards into thick brush. The last 1/3rd simply lose a few feathers and keep flying.
So here I am, shooting at the same bird up to three times and only half the time I get a noticeable hit. Six shells per bird in bag, completely unsatisfactory.
So I come here to ask, what is the best bang for buck, least dollar per bird 12Gauge shell for dove hunting? Or any relevant information you have to help.
>This is all after an extensive internet search which every brand claims to be the best.

>lonely self bump.
I think you're just not accustomed to the thing we call hunting anon. Sometimes maybe you need to pick your shots better or you just flat out suck. Learn to recognize.
>>31209909
Well, I appreciate the input.
I think I'm just going to buy a few boxes of 5 or 6 shot and just not shoot when they're incredibly close instead of not being able to drop them at 30-50 yards.
Good /k/-related channels?
Also, is Yankee Marshall "our guy?"
>likes Johnson
>has shitty opinions on guns
he's pretty fun to watch, but I don't really take him seriously.
cokeman2423 is extremely /k/

Hey /k/, I've always been a fan of WWI, and I'd like to get one (or a few) guns that spent some time in the trenches. Any recommendations? I don't want any specific country, all I ask is that the ammo is somewhat easy to get. If it isn't, post anyways just tell me it's not. Can be rifle, shotgun, or handgun. Pic somewhat related.

Say goodbye to your tigger.
Panzer IV - all models, ausf A thru J
I don't particularly care about speed or armor thickness.
I just like the shape and I like how all the guys just pop out of the damn thing.
Thanks obama
New backdoor ban on ammunition
http://conservative-daily.com/2016/08/31/breaking-news-obama-atf-announces-backdoor-ammo-ban/
>>31209538
its already been reversed by the atf.
>>31209538
stop posting this fucking bullshit story. The ATF already published a follow up clarification letter that ammo is NOT FUCKING BANNED.
Jesus.
>>31209555
yeah the ATF reversed it, this is how it went
>ATF: lets remove the exemption for wetted nitrocellulose basically it will only effect the firearms industry
>Research Labs: I guess we are all felons now because we use it all the time
>ATF: Oh....well we... ummm.... well we didnt mean it we were just looking for industry feedback on a possible reclassification
Oh the ATF it is like if you gave the post office authority over something more important than delivering mail on time
Tell me about the Tavor. My AR isn't doing it for me anymore and I want to try something different but still in .223/5.56 and the Tavor looks quite appealing.
Tell me the good, the bad, the ugly.
Thanks

what image encapsulates all that is /k/?
>We don't have any guns.
>>31209435
Who would win?
Marines obviously. That's only a 10-1 advantage of guys with swords and no idea how to fight against modern troops vs guys with rifles, grenades and machine guns.
It would be pretty one sided. Replace the marines with any modern infantry or the legionnaires with any pre gunpowder soldiers and the result would be more or less the same.

BALLISTA
I have about 300$ to spend.
With the current political climate i want to get a new gun before november.
I cant decide if i should sell my handgun and my mosin and have 700$ and then try for an AK or if i should buy a ithaca 37 or Winchester 12 and then set it up to be a trench shotgun/riot gun.
If i buy the shotgun i want the shotgun for operating and hunting(i need a new hunting shotgun).
the downside is im limited to maximum 50 yards.
and if i buy the AK i will not have a handgun or my mosin. But i will have an AK...sooooo.
Also if i buy shotgun i can work it out and fix my handgun(smith and wesson model 15, it has a broken frame stud).
or i say fuck it all and try and talk my buddy to in with me on two Cetme Ls(he has the resources to build the kits).
bumping for interest
>>31209110
Go milsurp or the AK.milsurp is never a bad choice if you can find ammo. Dont get a shotgun yet since they are going to more or less stay the same after the election.
Be warned of the quality of the AK you get though. Do your homework and you should be fine.
>>31209110
>selling your guns
Anon NO!
hey fellow /k/omrades is pic related an effective weapon?
Would probably hurt to be smacked with. Good for infiltrating Communist anti-American Homosexual events such as pride parades and gay bars.
>>31209101
actually it would probably make a good non lethal weapon. The mass and flex of the rubber would knock someone out but not break bones. So 10/10 would take to street fight.
>>31209139
On top of that, it could be like one of those fake cum ones, but it shoots out hyrdrofluoride or something else of your choice.
Found this at a garage sale today. what should I do with it?
>>31208905
send it to me.
Throw it in the fucking garbage.
>>31208994
I second this
I know this exact question has probably been asked a million times but I need advice before I throw down $.
Should I buy a geiselle trigger? PSA has a deal on the SSA ($170) and SSA-E ($190) right now...
I bought an ar15 4 months ago and I get decent groups at 50 yards and have gotten alot better at my trigger discipline with a standard trigger. I feel like a better trigger would make it alot more fun for me.
I want this rifle to be my home defense, fun range gun. I also want to take it hog hunting in the near future. Pic related
>>31208762
A good trigger is probably the best investment for a rifle.
PA has a better deal btw.
MBT is another option.
>>31209121
mah nigga. Didn't even bother checking pa.
Thanks. getting the ssa-e now.
>>31209300
You won't want to use a mil-spec trigger again.
Hi /k/, I just finished building my first SBR. It's chambered in 300 blackout. I've been having a weird issue... the rifle runs fine, but the brass it spits out has a dented case neck.
What do you think the issue is?
>Aero Precision stripped lower
>Aero Upper
>Aero Nickel Boron BCG
>10.5" Brownells Melonite Barrel, 1/8 twist, pistol gas
>Midwest Industries Low Profile Gas Block
>JP Enterprises Silent Captured Spring (with heaviest spring installed)
>Aero 15" keymod handguard
>Spikes enhanced LPK
>Fagpul grip and stock
>YHM Phantom 7.62 Titanium Direct Thread
oh also here's what the brass looks like
>>31208759
You fell for the .300 blackout meme.
>>31208848
I'm loving it so far. Packs more of a punch than 556 out of this barrel length, and I can shoot it without hearing protection.
The only thing memey about it is the the price per round
Can anyone tell me what this is? Looks like a flintlock or something and I'm hoping you guys can help me figure it out.
Will post pics
Time stamp
>>31208709
It's a cap and ball muzzleloader. Stock looks nearly new. Thats all I can really tell. Probably someone in your family hunted with it.
>>31208752
not OP but its my gun he posted for me. My grandpa either got it when he moved to Canada or from scotland, that was about 50 years ago now
