If someone is shot on the battlefield, what should be the immediate medical response? Do you remove the bullet? Apply pressure? A tourniquet?
>>31211491
Have you never read anything on basic first aid? Why would you remove the bullet?
Apply pressure dumbass.
>>31211491
Secure area/cover fire, pull wounded into secure cover, apply pressure to slow bleeding, apply tourniquet to prevent more blood loss, if necessary inject morphine, call for evac, hold out, evacuate wounded personnel, continue engagement if necessary.
Seems pretty obvious.
>>31211497
This.
Removing foreign objects is risky in the field. Why do you think it is recommended if impaled to put on a tourniquet and let the doctors extract the foreign object.
if I already own an M1A is there any reason to also own a Garand other than historical value?
>>31211455
A. Its another gun
B. They are fun
C. who cares buy one

Any reason to own a gun with a wood stock other than historical value?
Why is the bullpup meme still around after all these years?
The most accurate rifle currently in service is bullpup...
>>31211427
ahaha
It has its place. The notion that every country will have the same criteria for their service rifle is the greatest meme of all desu. The Jews benefit from a bullpup, much like the Swiss benefit from a rifle set up like a marksmans rifle, much like small Anglo countries like new Zealand benefit from using the same weapon as the Americans. One size does not fit all.
So let me get this straight, you take every Type 45 the Brits have (6) and place them all 1km apart in formation. Could anything pass over the airspace in the middle? Could a CSG sink all 6 eventually?
I'm drinking and this is just a hypothetical.
Yeah, the two Virginia SSNs just wreck the Type 45s with torpedoes and the CSG goes about it's business like nothing was ever there.
From an AAW perspective nothing can get past PAAMS(S). Bugs can't carry good enough munitions to beat the screen.
So they'd approach from a different angle. The DDGs would move in with guns or more likely the CSG sub would take a shot at them.
>>31211409
>Could anything pass over the airspace in the middle?
With enough Growlers sure, exactly how many is the realm of patriotic shitposting.
>Could a CSG sink all 6 eventually?
If you gave it a anti-ship biased weapons load knowing you had to break such a picket then I expect you could empty the 45s ammo supplies with prolonged missile spam before the carrier+escorts runs out of missiles. And that's ignoring the subs as >>31211425 points out, which are typically there whilst there's no solid doctrinal support for this random DD only taskforce to have a sub screen fof its own for sure. Having to carry out ASW against boats that aren't Soviet clankers whilst simultaneously defending against prolonged overwhelming air attacks is a world of suffering for group of DD you care to throw into the scenario.
What do you guys think about the PPK?
Dated, but kind of neat as a collectible.
Poo Poo Krap.

The double action autoloader is among the worst inventions in the history of firearms.

Guys, where can I find empirical studies to counter the claims made from this website? Gunfacts.org, gunownersofamerica, justfacts.org, cato institute, etc. just don't hold up when I do my due diligence. Where should I get my data from, /k/?
FBI uniform crime report. The most recent one shows that deaths by firearms are around 40,000 per year, with the majority of those being suicides. Remove the suicides and the vast majority of what's left is criminal on criminal. Legally owned guns then, can be seen to account for such a low amount of deaths as to be statistically irrelevant.
>>31211109
That doesn't necessarily mean that the firearms were illegally obtained

What he said. Pic Related.
Ukraine is trying to modernize its army and needs someone who has neither a corrupt official or an old fart from the Soviet era.
For some reason they choose you.
Where would you begin? Would you replace the T-72s with Challengers? Swap the AKs for M4s? Or would you look East and start buying QBZ-95s and Type-99s?
For the sake of argument let's assume Russia's gotten on everyone's bad side and are more than willing to supply Ukraine just to spite them.
I use a bunch of shitty ex Soviet boats to mine the fuck out of the Bosporus from the Black Sea side. This neuters the Black Sea Fleet and means they have no reason to take Crimea. Russia won't mess with Turkey because NATO and Turkey won't mess with us because the US is backing Ukrainian separation from the Russian sphere of influence.
Their locally made tanks are good enough, all they really need is western electronics and help with parts that are difficult to manufacture.
>>31210935
Russia is ready to supply hundreds of T-90s, T-80Us, BMP-3s, BTR-82A, 2S1Ms and 2S19s for free.
I wonder what /k/ommandos would use on Clowns?

a few have been recommended

1 ounce slugs or 00 buck from my trusty 590a1. Then a bayonet in the chest to make sure I purged such evil.
Slingshot with some silver chunks...and an asthma inhaler
>>31210441
7.62x54R, .306 or .270, AA-12, 8mm Mauser as main (Maybe .416 Taylor just to be sure) and a 10mm as sidearm, .45 ACP, KSG or DP12 and finally maybe just a good old Remington
Do you take the shot, /k/?
No need to, I got a hostage
yep, i'll shoot that ugly nigger and then maybe the guy with a gun, if he's gonna shoot me
Depends on the distance.
The dumbest stock photo I have ever seen

What is the most fun gun around and why is it the pump shotgun?
>>31210154
>click-chack
Anyone who doesn't love doing that has no inner child and probably lacks a soul.
>>31210154
It isn't, it's the 1887 lever action shotgun.
pump shotguns are up there but i really like plinking with a .22lr pistol
i shoot skeet with a pump because i hunt with a pump (practice how you play) so i guess its more about the skeet than the pump. though i really like the capacity of the pump. when i use an o/u (my buddy shoots a browning and ive used it a few times. i find the trigger way to light for birds but it makes a good deer gun) i get annoyed having to reload every 2 shots. with a pump i get 4+1 so each box of ammo is divided into 5 simple reloads.
I'm putting together a high end ar15... B.A.D. upper and lower. The final piece I need is a hand guard. Is slr any good?! What does /k recommend?! Key mod or mlok?!
>>31210037
High end? Check out the Geissele rails. PrimaryArms.com is having a 25% off sale on them
I'm looking for "bomb proof" suggestions!!!
>high end AR
>all that garbage
I know this will be hard to resist but please, keep the glock memes to a minimal.
I am looking to get a Glock19 4th Gen. Comes with (3) 15rd mags and (2) 33rd mags.
Final price is $540
Is this a good deal for a primary side arm for home defense, CCW, general SHTF?
>>31209931
Are you talking new or used? You could do a little better on price if you can buy blue label glocks
>>31210006
Factory fresh
>>31209931
Also, to answer your question, yes. It's a solid general purpose handgun. A bit big to conceal depending on your body and how you like to dress
What is some /k/ related vidya?
Also, what are some /k/ mods for the STALKER series?
I need to pick MGS5 up again
Gun smithing was super fun and there's probably some decent mods for it out by now. Stopped right before the outbreak segment was due to start so I could sit down and push through it all with a few casualties as possible.

Nuka World for Fallout 4 gave me a diamond dick with modding the base AKM into an AKMSU/RPK/SVD/AK pistol.
