Many critics of the F35 say it can't dogfight
but, the air superiority F22 has never been in a real air to air battle.
The military is using f22s to bomb targets in Syria
Does air to air dogfighting even matter in the modern age?
Dogfighting is about as relevant as a bayonet charge. If you have to do it, then it means you fucked up all your previous strategy.

Or you're British
>>31223951
oy yur a cheeky cunt mate i'll box you in right in font of your mum and then jam it in her bum

>>31223558
I would be ashamed to go out in public dressed like that. White sneakers and a wife beater? Are you from Ohio?
I'm red-Green colourblind and i just found out that my type of colourblindness restricts me from combat roles in every western military, I've wanted to enlist to a combat role since i was young. I feel like shit and don't know what to do, Is there anything i can do?
Lie.
>>31223183
how?
WHT DOES THE PICTURE SAY THEN op
What does /k/ think of one handed axes? Viable weapon? Is it shit?
tl;dr: Axe thread
Viable weapon. But it has its limitations because you need some armspace to swing it. Less useful if you're pinned to the ground or a wall.
>>31223059
Agreed, but this can be mitigated with small spikes on the back and top. Plus, i just generally love the aesthetic.
>>31223032
I wouldn't want to have one swung at me and I wouldn't want one to be the only thing between my life and my death.
America you have a problem
Yeah it's called Tumblr
Do we blame the US or the UK for this dumb bitch though? It thinks it's British, even if it was born in the US.
>>31223030
When is this "day of the rope" gonna happen? Getting real tired of this.
Background: I'm a software developer out of college for 2 years now, I'm making 50k (before taxes). For a while there I considered joining the military, but it looked like it would take several years of experience and hitting a pretty decent officer rank (was it major? I can't remember) just to break even. How do people live off of the pay in the military? Is it possible to serve your country without going broke?
28, E-6, I gross 60k. Plus all the benefits like free Healthcare I'd say I'm doing good.

>he doesn't know barracks housing is a thing
>he doesn't know free food in the DFAC is a thing
>he doesn't know BAH and BAS are a thing
If you do it right you don't have to touch your actual pay for any living expenses and it's entirely entertainment/savings money.
>>31222925
>>31222993
This.
I spent nearly all 4 years of my military life living this way. You live in the barracks, you eat the chow hall food, and you patch your own clothing. The only thing you have to worry about paying for is the internet bill. The rest can go to whatever you want. For me it was a lot of video games. Don't get on the drinking bandwagon though, or you'll be like the rest of the broke fucks that blow their checks at the nearest dive bar. I left the military with over 40k in savings. And now I go to college and get $1200 a month for BAH.
What's the best 5.56/223 AK variant made?
>>31222922
Galil.
In 5.56? Probably the galil jew shits. 7.62x39 master race akm stlye is better tho, buy that instead.
>>31222941
>7.62x39
I do agree that 5.56x45 isn't the optimal cartridge for the AK, but why not 5.45x39? It's an actual intermediate cartridge like the rest of the world is using, and it's been used in Russia for the past 40 years or so.
So I think I came up with a pretty great idea guys, or at least one that's worth mentioning.
I was looking around for hairbrushes for my taxidermy models when I found one that looked like the one in the picture. I was thinking of the possibility of forging some sort of hairbrush with sharper needles or something for women so they could brush their hair and maybe defend themselves from people who harass them on the street. Obviously the blades on this comb or hairbrush would only be able to puncture if you swung it at someone, and if you were just brushing your hair you wouldn't have to worry about the blades. It might be a way to get more women to arm themselves finally. I'm not sure if it would be mace-like or perhaps more of a hatchet with slits in it for effective hair brushing and defense purposes. Maybe the slits that let hair through could double as a blood groove or fuller?
Thoughts from you guys?
Women are terrible at close combat, they all freak out and end up being disarmed.
Not a terrible idea I suppose
>>31222581
That's a pretty cool one OP. I had a crazy idea for a male equivalent, one of those folding combs but instead it has a razor sharp blade hidden inside.
Cold steel makes one that has a concealed dagger blade inside.
