Currently looking at the Gerber Gator Bolo Machete. Thinking about buying it

Yup
Ask again
Thinking about building a Sten Mk.2 as a next project, any advice? Also I've never fucked around with NFA items, do I have to fill out a separate form for an SBS and a machine gun?
>>31204792
if you build a machine gun you don't need an SBR stamp
hell even I know that
My dad use to handle them all the time when he was a kid in the Middle East. Said they would get really hot really fast. That's all I have to say about the sten.
>>31204814
Told you I've never fucked around with NFA shit
If a naval gun like this were to misfire or jam, how long would it take to fix the problem? Is there any way to quickly access the internals to fix the issue?
>>31204775
get a petty officer 3rd class with a broom to fix it
If it misfires the crew inside become chunky salsa and get posthumous medals.
>>31204775
Yes, they can be accessed quickly to fix a jam or misfire, but because it's an auto-loader it's much less likely to have those problems.
so why didn't they just give the bar to every soldier? would have been an unstoppable wall of fire
They're extremely fucking heavy that's why. The whole reason we developed the M1 Carbine was that even the Garand was too big and bulky. Sheer volume of fire counts for a lot regardless of ammunition size, so long as it can reach out to ~300yd, which is where the StG44, AK, and AR came from.
>>31204700
The BAR was stupidly heavy for gun feeding from 20-round magazines.

don't forget expensive as fuck
Let's say the US government finds out about a secret terrorist compound hidden in a cave somewhere in the Middle East.
It's a command center, and the intelligence says it's occupied by around at least 1000 tangos. It's also suspected at least a dozen hostages are being hidden here, and there's a goldmine of intel that could be useful.
And let's say the president greenlights a mission to simultaneously neutralize this facility, rescue the hostages, and secure the intel. How would this be done? What kind of unit would be used for this mission? How many operators would be involved in such a raid? Is it even possible to do a mission this risky?
I know it's a question that has several other factor, and I know we've already done similar things like with Tora Bora, but I'm just trying to understand how a scenario like this would play out.
Would would the trade-off number be for an elite unit commando vs a somewhat trained insurgent? Would it be 1 operator for every 10 terrorists? Would the military expect a smaller force of operators to be able to neutralize that many targets, like say 3 platoons of SEALs? Or would they go all out and use a bunch of different spec op/counter terrorism units altogether?
It would have to be entirely covert. Hostages would be killed as soon as word of a large attack force started.
Would be super secret operation. Guard all cave entrances with drones and jets 24/7. Blow up any buildings within miles to destroy any tunnel exits. Starve them out. Don't care about hostages. Get Intel.

But anon, what if your waifu is one of the hostages?
Military academies are a thing if the past
When the average person was an iliterate retard who needed a guy with a degree called officer to command him in war
Nowadays officers atent any more intelligent or educated than soldiers or NCOs
And if they were,it is sure not because the retarded things they learn in the academy
For God sakes, the average soldier training is more difficult than the officer training

Reread what you just wrote and go sit in the corner and think about how you can be less of a dipshit
So I went to a LGS to buy a lower, and ended up looking at some sub-compacts too, especially this little guy.
Now, a little info. I live in AZ, with temperatures exceeding the 100's currently, making my CC choice pretty small. I'm 6ft, 170lbs (but increasing weight steadily) if that helps as well
What would be the most reliable, hands down sub-compact pocket-rocket I could get? I already have a full size handgun, and I love it, but it's a pain to CC
Completely going with what you guys have, as I'm not that well versed in compact options nor their reliability.
You fell for the Glock reliability meme. I've had no issues with my LC9S Pro and I can get my pinky on the grip.

XD-S in 9mm
>>31204615
>implying glock reliability is a meme
wanna know how I know you've never owned or fired a gun?
If you could only choose one black powder weapon for carry and home defense, what would you pic?
does this count?
>>31204600
Black powder power?

Double barrel shotgun with 14 inch tubes.
What is /k/s opinion on the Baretta PX4?
>>31204554
Compatibility with CX4 and a nice ergonomic pistol that works.
Only thing I dislike about it is the slide finish, enough though it's anti corrosive. Looks like shit, like the recent glock finish.
Great pistol that has large but easy controls. Low recoil and decent trigger. I have a 9mm and a cx4 which are great as a pair.
is it true that everything can be made for left handed users
>tfw want to join the US military but I'm not American
Why must life be so cruel?

Try using military service to get citizenship, fám
>>31204472
You don't have to be a citizen, just a legal resident.
In fact, service is a fact track to citizenship.
>>31204547
Can i get permission if i served in foreign army?
Can some old dog who has no business being on a site like this explain what the strap on this old pouch was for?
>>31204295
connecting you harness to your belt lad.
>>31204354
So is this not how the harness is supposed to attach to the belt?

>Hey anon, think fast, hahaha!
Not even with a rented dick.
can't think when my dick is hard
>whoops, I came
>swear it never happens to me
So while everyone else is running around getting stabbed and shot, I'll be covered in a 70/30 mix of foliage and yarn.
I'm thinking of getting burlap netting, have the gf sew it into a cape and then attaching fake plants.to it.
Dead leaves or green vines, then having a dry short grass base.
This is the suit oftb, I bought some dried long grass to lighten it up a bit. Currently tying it all down.
No one getting comfy with a ghillie?

Too heavy if you have to move anywhere. I used to paintball with a guy that had a badass one. But it was heavy as fuck and he ended up being fucking useless because he never wanted to move.
It's apparently called PT-16. New armour (apparently made in Germany BUT not ripped out of Leopards), new 120mm gun (apparently made in Poland, not ripped out of Leopards), remote controlled weapons, some sensors and "high-tech electronics" (totally not ripped out of Leopards).
Basically, it's an Polish knock-off of Leopard...
...that's just an upgraded T-72.
>>31204183
You're saying that like the leopard is the only referent in tank warfare in Europe.
>>31204205
>it is
>>31204183
Does sloped armor not offer an advantage to vertical armor anymore?
Seems like less tanks are using it, with the exception of turrets sometimes
