Quick! What weapon do you become an hero with /k/? It can be anything
>>31851241
Strap myself to project Pluto and blare slayer while flying around the Middle East.
>>31851241
Nukes, you'll be seen as a hero if you disobey a launch order.
>>31851281
An hero as in killing yourself
>be me
>read /k/s view on militias and how they should be proactive and help the locals during natural disasters and shit
>have a group of bros who I shoot with
>decide we should help the local red cross etc
>join a group called CERT
>its about the local community taking care of it self during times of disaster
>has a class weekly
>one class is taught by a local cop
>about terrorism and "active shooters"
>an older guy with a "back the blue shirt" asks the cops view on our LTC and people being able to stop mass shooters
>cop says its dumb and that only police should have guns
>mfw I'm in TX
>mfw I've seen this cop at a local range and he can't shoot as well as my 14 year old nephew
>mfw he's lecturing people on how they're not proficient with firearms
>mfw

>cop says its dumb and that only police should have guns
Should have called him a freedom hating communist sympathizer, desu.
>>31851175
Where at in TX?
>>31851175
TX here too, though I don't shoot with friends, groups or militias because I don't trust anyone else.
Originally I planned to be a cop. I went through and finished a police academy here, and I have to say in my experience in my area, the cops are skewed about 30/70% in favor of the jackasses who think only they should have guns. It's kind of sad, because the ones who are educated and can actually shoot, are awesome guys.
My boss is friends with a sniper on the SWAT team and he comes by every now and then and we shoot the shit, good guy.
Why aren't there enlisted astronauts?
Both Commissioned Officers and Warrant Officers are qualified to go into space.
Without checking facts I'm gonna say that majority of US and Soviet spacemen were airforce.
Why send enlisted? Operations in space don't require hundreds of men floating in zero G to make things work.

Russia has a military branch called Кocмичecкaя Boйcкa, Space Forces. The father of my friend served there before his retirement.
Nothing in the catalog. I'll start this show.

If buy one and I'm not a canadafag
>$1450 shipped to ontario
yeah, fuck that noise.
Wait did these get reclassified and b& in Syrupland?
When will these be in stores /k/? I thought they would be out mid-October?
Also, why is the Hunter model expected to be so expensive?
>>31850954
Does it have one of those gay chamber indicators?
wtf is this?
>>31851019
what exactly is a "gay chamber indicator"
>>31851033
Ruger's new 22 pistol. Basically the first big name 22lr handgun where taking it apart doesn't require three hands and/or multiple tools.
Would body armor be effective against lazer based weapons, at least for a short Time? If not what would make for good lazer armor in the near future
Just use a mirror to deflect the laser
>cover oneself in mirrors
>lasers bounce right off
>the best offense is a good defense
I'm pretty much ready for the future.

>two posts less than ten seconds apart saying the exact same thing
OP didn't think this through.
So if you want to prevent ATF from knowing about your legally purchased firearms, you have to stick to private sales. (Funstores have to hand all of their sales records over to the ATF when they go out of business.)
Other than it being none of the government's business how you choose to exercise your rights, are there compelling reasons for a law abiding citizen to stay off the radar? (Other than an illegal mass confiscation attempt, which seems unthinkable.)
>>31850906
Why does it matter if the ATF knows?
>>31850921
Literally the question.
>>31850939
Do you buy anything firearms related with a credit card?
Do you have a carry permit?
Its not that hard to keep a dedicated investigation from finding out that you are a firearms owner. And it keeps you from collecting cuckstamps.
Would it be possible to scale up the AR-15 action to .50 BMG? Pic sort of related
>>31850838
Isn't that what a serbu is?
Then there's also the outfit making a .50cal AK patern rifle, if you into that sort of thing as well.
>>31850838
Isnt that what an AS 50 is?
>>31850838
you can get a single shot attachment for an AR-15 lower, not really sure why you'd want it though
When does a weapon fire too fast ?
There is no weapon which fires too fast. There is only a barrel which can't keep with speed of firing.
Either
A. When it becomes uncontrollable to the user.
B. When the marginal increase in hit chance is 0; i.e a minigun has the same hit chance at 4,000rpm than at 1,000,000rpm.
>31850777
I forgot. Or...
C. When the weapon itself will fail under regular use.
Who wins?
So Mexicanos paramilitary gangs have been fighting/defending against dindu street gangs for over a decade. California and Texas are the primary battlezones.
Have you seen or heard anything? Any firefights?
Who is the superior fighting force? Who do you want to see win (have to choose one)?

>a CIA/special forces trained gang that has become so ruthless in a country where laws basicallly dont exist its like GTA online come to life
vs
>some gang bangers shooting eahcother over street corner turf
the cartels would fucking ruin any hoodrat street gang. provided we are talking about the real cartels. There are Mexican hoodrats gangs that are more on par with the black ones,.but the real cartels are so batshit cray and now so splintered into different organizations it wouldnt be a contest it would be a slaughter
>>31850594
not to mention pyschologically the latino gangs are infamous for just how cruel their torture and killings are
>>31850594
Why do you talk as if this is "hypothetical"?
Can anyone identify this tank for me please?
I was at the Tank Museum last week, and this was the only one I didn't recognise.
>>31850222
FV 4005 Stage II.
>>31850230
awesome, thank you.
>>31850222
It's the "No, fuck this, we're tired of being outgunned, fuck your IS tanks and their general post code" tank.
183mm of utter British 'done with this shit' thinking.
Pic related is the Stage 1 prototype, when they mounted a rotary autoloader on the thing. Because screw the rules.
I am highly considering the Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount 2 for my weapon mounted light. Do any of yall own one? I think this is hard to beat for the price point.
>>31850034
I've been considering getting one for my AR as well. The reviews look solid.
>>31850063
The only thing that is bugging me about it is that its made in China. But so is pretty much everything else. I am not going to hand over $300 for a scout light with the same mounting options etc from surefire just so I can say It's made in the U.S.A.
>>31850074
The Surefire scout lights are only assembled in the US, the components are made in chinkland too
>tfw they had to stop advertising they were Cree LED's because Cree is made in china
The Surefire M600 uses the same emitter and electronics as the RM1
>Textron AirLand's Scorpion jet has successfully demonstrated close air support mission capability during its first weapons exercise.
>The testing involved the deployment of three widely used weapon systems, Hydra-70 unguided 2.75-inch rockets, BAE Systems’ advanced precision kill weapon system (APKWS) and AGM-114F Hellfire missiles.
>The weapons were guided to their targets using a ground-based laser designator system and then an airborne laser on the Scorpion‘s L-3 Wescam’s MX-15Di sensor suite, Textron said in a statement.

What's the purpose of this thing again? It has no BRRRT, the missile/bomb/rocket payload is at least half of the A-10s, it requires a back seater and looks like it can be downed with a 23mm. Understandably, F-35 is absolute dogshit at CAS and COIN as well as at everything else, but why not just build more A-10s or use MQ-9s for this role?
Isn't it cheap?
>>31849860
It's at least $2kk higher than A-10 and $3-4kk higher than Reaper. At a prototype stage.
>>31849855
I am Gliderfag. I have glider fetish. But even I know you have an even bigger problem with your fixation on the A-10.
Post your first pistols that you ever got. Picrelated I picked up yesterday, the red color is starting to grow on me.
>>31849854
Pretty nice, that grip looks good on it
