This kills the Tiger

> During the Battle of St. Vith in the Battle of the Bulge, an M8 of Troop B, 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron was able to destroy a German Tiger heavy tank after getting in behind one on the Schonberg Road, though the commander tried to traverse his turret to engage the M8. The M8 fired three 37 mm rounds through the relatively thin rear armor of the Tiger from only 25 yd (23 m), setting it on fire.
That must have been an interesting day

Are they worth it for $200?
Anybody have much experience with them? Are they fun to use?

A friend of mine has a brace of them. They're pretty fun, if tedious to load. Makes you feel like an outlaw.

They're fun, provided you have a place to shoot them. Most ranges don't allow blackpowder. The recoil is very mild even in the 30gr range with a .44 caliber.

I recently inherited a mix of twelve rifles and shotguns. I have too many guns at the point and I want to sell a few of them off.

I have a variety of shotguns that I feel are worth selling but I am not sure which to keep and what to sell off. I live In NYS btw.

I have a:
Westernfield .410 pump action
Iver Johnson Arms 16 gauge single-shot
and a New England Firearms 10 gauge single-shot

I'm trying to balance between ammo availability, usefulness, and resale values.

The 16 gauge is pretty worn, the fore grip is missing, but it still seems like a solid gun. Seems like a neat gun but I dont know if it would be very useful.

The 10 gauge is in great shape, but I hear like 16 guage, 10 is hard to find as well. I kinda like this one because it feels like Im carrying a cannon around.

the .410 I am debating its usefulness in general. I always hear how .410s are pretty weak, like raccoons could survive a shot. but It's a nice pump action with a long barrel.

What does /k/ think about these shotguns?

you'd be lucky to get $40 out of that iver
maybe $100 for the westernfield
a little over $100 for the nef
i'd give them to cousins, tell them they were in the will.
>>
>>34854971
oh, more like 200 for the 410

>i'd give them to cousins, tell them they were in the will.
There is good reason I got these over my siblings and cousins.

I think I'm a set on keeping the 10 gauge NEF, and if I'd get next to nothing for the 16 gauge Iver I think I might as well keep it and fix it up.

The .410 I am pretty sure I might just fell then. I am wondering what usefulness a .410 has.

What's the best EDC knife for a newfag like myself who doesn't want to fuck up and slice myself open with how fast some of these knives open? What type of newb friendly & safe "opening mechanism" would you recommend while I get used to the mere fact of carrying daily?

I'd recommend a Victorinox Cadet.

I got one of these not too long ago to replace a knife that I lost in the woods. Finish could be better, but its not a bad knife for the price. Easy open, 4 different clip-carry positions, inexpensive....comes in two sizes and many different color combos.

What's your budget? Do you have a particular style that you think you would like?

Opinel

You won't find a more foolproof newb friendly and safe opening/locking mechanism.

It'd just be better if a movie focusing on hyperviolence being used for good tried to shoe-horn in anti gun rhetoric.
Other than that, it's one of my favorite action flicks.

I haven't watched it in years, but I never noticed the anti gun shit. I just thought it was decent and funny.

It might not be useful on the offensive, but the Flak 41s were pretty good there, so I'm probably wrong.

Weights:

Flak 41 - 7407 kg
Pak 43 - 4750 kg

It would be nearly impossible to move it by hand as could be done with the earlier Pak 38 and Pal 40, but it could be deployed in a similar fashion to the Flak 36/41 in an even less amount of time.

Apparently Thompson is doing a rebate for these rifles and they're both about $250, probably closer to $300 after transfers and shipping. Anyone owned one of these? And how does 308 stack against 30.06 if I live on the eastern seaboard for hunting (probably boar and deer?)

Worth it?

Might as well get the more powerful and thus more versatile .30-06 unless you particularly want a short action.

Any body have experiences with the EAA Windicator 357mag 4" barrel? How does it compare with the Ruger GP100 or S&W 686?
5 posts and 2 images submitted.

Well it's no Taurus but it's not quite on par with the Ruger of the Smith. Perfectly functional though.
>>
Hmm, ok. I'd just want something I can dump a bunch of 38 down range for fun and not worry about long term lifespan of it. I could do internal work/polishing on it to slicken it up a bit if necessary.
>>
>>34854015
From what I've heard, they're solid, reliable guns if a bit crude and heavy with a heavy DA trigger

went to the range with my AR-15 yesterday. Shot pretty accurately at 50 yards with iron sights. I actually dont really like it very much.

Maybe you'd like a Mossberg MVP more? Take the rail off if you just want to use iron sights. They also accept STANAG magazines, as well as most AR-15 magazines. Other than that, a Benelli MR1or Ruger Mini-14 if you want to keep it semi-auto.

Hi /k/ - my wife really wants to get into funs but all 3 of the guns I have really don't fit her body well at all. She finds them extremely uncomfortable to shoot.

I've come to the realization that she needs like a gun for kids. What models/barrel lengths should I be looking for for someone who is extremely small? Looking for .22LR preferably because we really just do simple plinking and target shooting.

Replace the wife, not the guns.

AR with collapsible stock like a B5 with a bigger cheek wield for extra comfyness. put a decent brake on it to to soften the recoil and congrats, you have a a rifle in another set of hands who can sling 77 grains as easy as you can for like 500 bucks maybe a little over

So /k/.
THEORETICALLY speaking.
in close quarters battle, is it possible for an average normal human being, to train his shooting skills and reaction speed (no matter how long it takes or expensive it might be)
to the point where he can instinctively double tap an enemy in the cranium area in an extremely short time (think 150-100ms reaction speed) ?
