Sweet guns dude. If I recall, Kino also acquires an M1897 trench gun and a paratrooper Arisaka in the novels. Definitely gonna try and get at least on Kino gun once I get a decent paying job.

I think bayonets are made from terribly soft steel and go dull quickly. It would be be a terrible knife for anything besides its intended purpose.

I'm still rocking alice gear LBE and I want to upgrade my belt.
I guess my alice gear would be part of my loadout, but it's old school, and already a bit crowded even before adding the pistol, and mags for rifle and pistol.
I want something newer and slightly more high speed... I'm not sure which option is best:
1) Surplus USMC/Eagle Ind. battle belt for $20
2) Surplus pistol belt (might not be easy to use with molle) $10
3) Run a plain unpadded riggers belt or something from a higher mfgr. and then buy or make a padded molle cover at a later time $30+
my alice belt usually has suspenders, but I can run it without.
I'm trying to integrate my chest rig- TT Mini MAV, with my belt/LBE and an assault pack.

Oh yeah- belt has been used primarily for hiking, so that's why it's not set up in a fun friendly manner. It has a a 1 qt. and a 2 qt. canteen on it, a SAW pouch with ifak and tools and emergency gear.
I need a belt for 1-2 rifle mags in single pouches, a pistol and 1 or 2 mags for it as well. Maybe a nalgene and a small ifak.

A friend of mine went into the Navy as an unrated fireman because his recruiter told him he'd be working as an actual fireman on a base somewhere.
For non-Navy: "fireman" is the generic term for anyone who works in the engineering department, their equivalent of "seaman." An unrated fireman is the bottom of the barrel and basically cleans bilges all day.

Hey, /k/. I'm not a gunsmith at all, but I do know some of the basic ballistics behind firearms and I was wondering if it would be possible to make the perfect assault rifle by taking an AK-47 reciever and putting it on a bullpup rifle design, my logic is this:

But that kind of clothing is literally just cheapass COTS clothing. I know my PT shoes were Asics, socks were shitty $1 for 6 pair, and I don't know if the t-shirts were branded, but they were about the same as hanes undershirts.
I cannot stress how shitty the socks were. They were good for one full day of hard wear before they were pretty much useless. It got to the point that most of the people in my squad wouldn't even wash socks, we'd just throw them out and wear new ones because they were so fuckin cheap.

Since the Norks may actually end up attempting to nuke US territories in the coming months, I thought this would be an appropriate thread. I'm not very nervous about the nukes themselves, if I die i die fast, and if I dont I dont. I'm quite nervous of the effects of an NEMP. Im not quite sure how they work, I would appreciate some answers to the following questions
>What is the minimum/maximum height for NEMPs to occur?
>Is the magnitude of the explosion correlative to the magnitude of the NEMP?
>Is the height of the explosion correlative to the magnitude of the NEMP?
>what would the radius of an NEMP from, lets say, a 50kt nuke?
>How would an NEMP affect areas of modern society?
>is it possible that any person shield precious electronics from NEMP, and if possible, how?

It's possible with a faraday cage, but not completely. Also depends on how powerful of a pulse that the NEMP is.

Try it first. If you find issue then change it. Mine isn't perfect either, but I haven't had a single issue since installing.
