My buddy got one for his dad and that thing won't even hit what your aiming at from 5 yards.
It's like the iron sights are for looks.

But it is a Derringer so you don't really need the sights.
But even still, 2 shots isn't enough for most people to comfortably rely on.

Especially rangers and other units operating far from supply lines will have hidden caches and will leave their heavy things behind, so they can very rapidly detach from combat, if necessary.

Part of why mechanized patrols were so much better than hoofing it innamountains. Dump all that shit on the vehicle. If you were out fucking around and took contact, some guys were advocates of just dumping the pack ASAP and getting to cover. I got to cover and then ditched it, because it makes a decent improvised firing stand and you don't have to go back out of cover to get shit that you might need later..

You'd typically have to go with a lost wax method to do those. A silicon mold wouldn't hold up to the temps needed for aluminum.

I was thinking about that, casting a negative in silicone then a positive in wax then a negative in plaster, however that would take forever just to do one because you have to break open the plaster mold and if it's fucked up then rip all that time. Plus I was hoping to pretty much just churn these out of like a steel mold or something. not for illegal purposes of course, but again just for the sake of being able to.

If the rifling twist is different and the bullet was more or less intact, sure.

Where finding a specific model gun comes from is when the primer indentations, casing scratch, and rifling grooves all match a gun that has ALREADY been uploaded to the database.

If you kill a guy with a gun that's never been fired before the police will never find out what it was unless you lose the gun and they recover it, or they kick in your door to test your gun specifically.

The same goes for your DNA. If you shoot a girl in the head, creampie her corpse in South Carolina, and then pack up your gun and dick and haul ass to the other end of the nation, it won't matter if the police find samples of your hair, saliva, semen, blood, and the bullet you killed her with.

As long as you never commit another crime again, destroy the gun, and never try to get a federal/state job or license that would involve getting fingerprinted or DNA tested, you're scot-free.

The DNA part is kinda correct. If really wanted, and they have done this before. They can run the DNA in hopes that some one related to that DNA is already in the system. This is usually a last resort deal, cause it infringes on another person privacy. Before any you nigger's argue this shit, Google and see how right I am. Right now a bill is trying to be passed in some places, so they don't need to get a court order or any thing to test it for relatives, don't even have to inform you either.
