That is indeed 50% better.
I started at home
I continued because i didn't stop
I made tons of Zayn art and I don't know what to do with myself. Like seriously, so many. I wish I knew how to post more pictures in one thread, because dear lord. Someone help me.
I figured out how to submit more.
who the fuck is zac milack
I have a problem
This painting of a black square is worth millions of dollars. It's boring to look at and everyone can draw one, irrespective of skill level. Even my 3 year old brother can draw one. So why is it so praised and so valuable? Is this madness?
>>2453747
its worth rather reflect the disgusting economic inequality in our society. Regarding its value, it is clearly subjective, it is probably its connotation and producer that makes it a valuable from a collectors standpoint.
>>2453755
So basically people pay for the artist's name and fame here? Someone would pay 60 million because... it was Malevich's hand that drew a square and ten filled it with black paint?
>>2453758
Well, arguably its not only their fame but perhaps conceptuall originality or aesthetic and importance in a historical context that makes it collectable. People don't pay a fortune to people that try to make similary pieces but aren't the originator of the ideas them selfs.
sure!
>>2465787
How about no.
So I have a shit ton of card board, hot glue, and I have a box cutter with plenty of spare blades. I have no idea what to make but I wanna make something so what should I make? I don't wanna make something huge.
You make stencils and spray those fuckers around.
OK glue them all together and make a kraken attacking a ship, with intense waves and everything, make sails for the ship, make only one eye showing on the kraken

What is this drawn with?
Why is it so brown?
>>2466463
Sanguine pastel?
Just a guess based on my own experience with the medium
terracotta pencil
conte crayon. you can get em in stick of pencil form.
How do I git gud at drawing a pose? should I just practice those 1-2 minutes gesture/ pose drawing everyday?
>>2466404
Just draw a lot of poses. Try not to imagine poses just use some kind of reference because imagination poses tend to be shit and uninteresting and have no gesture in them. U can try imagination after u become somewhat okay with working from reference.
gestures motherfucker
>>2466406
>use refs cause imagination sucks
You literally just described every single skill you learn in art.
Why do so many amateur artists have explosive amounts of followers? I know it's the fanart, but I've seen good fanart not get the same amount of attention as the worse stuff, and I don't know why.
They know how to market themselves. Doesn't matter how good your art is if you don't know how to sell yourself.
>>2465878
This pic is not amateur, 99% of /ic/ no cann´t draw something like this
>>2465909
>no cann´t draw
Imma try this again. Picked this painting up the other day and it's signed "Kent." Is it worth getting it cleaned and fixed for value sake? I bought the painting because i like it, but if theres money there I'd like to get it out of it.
what kind of stupid fuck are you, the only valuable art is modern art.
Go on with the meta, if your not buying trash and loundering money with it, its not art.

Manben is a documentary series that is currently in its second season in Japan. Japanese comic book artists are filmed up close while working for a few days and then they discuss the footage.
Fujita Kazuhiro whites out and redraws a face 7 times. Asano Inio photoshops the hell out of landscape photographs and draws over them to make them look hand drawn. Saitou Takao goes straight from outline to a fat permanent marker. I get a kick out of seeing how each author ends up with a finished work.

my favorite episode so far (Fujita Kazuhiro) on dailymotion:

i think i saw this on youtube . i liked it . it is very interesting to see how the whole process of making a page from different artists
Was this the documentary series that was being discussed and got a ton of requests for subs a long time back in that thread about the author/artist of Princess Jellyfish's autobiographical manga? I'm glad it's got a team on it.
Is there anything like this with western artists? It seems like (American) art relies entirely on independent publishing. There's never any sponsored projects. Only ever small podcasts with guest artists.
>>2457751
It is exactly that. Her episode (and the rest of the season) is subbed now.
If there's been a western equivalent I've yet to see it.
