Is there any conceivable way to get a cute models number without coming off as a total creep or asshole?
'' Hi my name is Anon and I'm an artist, can I get your number for modelling?''
And then just don't act act like an autistic faggot.
>>2475314
>And then just don't act act like an autistic faggot.
But asking that very same question is something you'd expect from an autistic faggot.
So, I bought some charcoal pencils and holy fuck, this is difficult. How do you git gud with this shit?
Als, critique my shit, I guess.
>>2474145
Learn to sharpen and hold your pencil properly, use appropriate paper. Then it's just a matter of learning how to actually draw.

Stuff I doodled at my old job. This is probably why I got laid off.
I don't have the ligameme. Should I end it? I'll never be pro... Fellow less fortunate non-ligamemers, how do you deal with it? How do you deal with the fact that the Git Gud God has passed over you and left you to rot in your mediocrity?
>>2472035
I'll sell you mine once I'm pro.
Maybe it's true /ic/. I have dubs and only seen improvements this past year.
>>2472035
Do you really meme it senpai ?
just a quick PSA: Flip note studio 3d was released for free on the 3ds in europe today.
for anyone who doesn't know, flipnote is a flip book style animation software for the 3ds that was announced in 2011 and has only since been released in japan until today.
i've been playing around with it and i'm pretty sure it's my favourite, most accessible tool for learning and practicing frame by frame animation. (i also own a cintiq 13hd and have lots of experience animating in flash and photoshop)
tip: you can use a mechanical pencil as a stylus to make drawing more comfortable, just make sure you have a screen protector on
The software is only available as a free download until the 30th of April, for people who sign up to mynintendo dot com
>>2467154
Damn, it JUST released in Europe? I remember it being released as a sendoff gift from Club Nintendo over a year ago.
>>2467164
yeah i think it was just north america that got it at the end of club nintendo, and it's been unavailable to get since then
>>2467177
Well, anyways, did you ever get into Hatena back in its hayday?

Amazing documentary. I know it's still marketing in disguise, but it really shows how much work went behind the movie.
>>2473931
Of course, any behind the scenes content for anything was made to promote any film or show.
Anyways, thanks for the link OP, I'll check it out later.

Like I've never seen the appeal with furry shit before but I have to admit even after just seeing a trailer of this movie that fucking bunny makes my dick feel funny. VERY funny.
How do people draw anime? It looks so clean. Anytime I try drawing it, my work looks like chicken scratch and takes hours cleaning up. And it still looks like deviant art tier garbage.
>>2469402
>How do people draw anime?
They have the spark.
>Anytime I try drawing it, my work looks like chicken scratch and takes hours cleaning up.
Either you don't have the spark or you're not from Japan.
>>2469402
>chicken scratch and takes hours cleaning up.
as you gain experience and your wrist become agile it take less and less time to clean
>>2469404
I guess I'll never be able to draw it good.
Are there any good guides for drawing anime, or do most people here rely on self teaching and practice?
For those that don't have an art related job, how do you balance work and practicing for your art? Especially if you're still a beginner.
w-who /neet/ here

Did you make this thread thinking you were being clever or are you just trying to maximize shitpost efficiency for minimum effort?

Looking for art based on ancient Africa. It can be historically accurate or fantasy. I'll post what I have
Where tf is the main light source direction in this? It looks awesome but it's confusing me trying to figure it out. Are you guys able to spot it?
>>2473920
It looks like top left but the face feels very off
>>2473922
Maybe it's from a small flash light
>>2473920
Theatrical lighting.
As if a creaw if light guys were pointing bunch of limelights at her fron here and there
How does /ic/ feel about people who uses Poser or similar software to archive realism?
is it worth using?
Yes.
As I'm going through art school, I'm slowly realizing how important it is to introduce some sort of actual reference to my workflow.
If you go by imagination, you'll be stuck noodling around trying to make it look right, when you could take a camera and take a pic in 15 mins and save tons of time.
Look at James Gurney, he achieves realism through his fictional work. How? He does millions of real life studies, he makes maquettes for lighting purposes, and he uses that information in conjunction with his imagination to create the pieces we know and love
Reference saves time, and helps your visual library. Over time you won't need as much reference, but it is CRUCIAL that you understand how to incorporate even Poser or Skelly or any other 3d posing app to quickly get down foreshortening and anatomy
Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Wow, thanks for posting this thread. Had no idea this existed and now I'll probably be using it every day.
>>2460948
It's like Google Sketchup, an invaluable tool for building settings that you can reference at any angle
No rules, only tools
Alright /ic/ now you LITERALLY have no excuse to not be working on your own animated series
LITERALLY NO EXCUSE
My PC can't handle Toonz.
>software is the reason people don't make their own animated series
one more step towards killing flash?
Does anyone use a tablet with a screen?
I'm thinking of buying one. I have a separate small no screen tablet and kind of hate it desu.
I use the surface pro 4.
Yes. I am using it right now.
They are not worth the price. You can buy a new powerful PC with a large Intuos Pro and a great monitor for the same money. If you don't give a fuck about the money, then buy it. But it won't really improve your skills though.
