I looked through a bunch of tumblr artist's archives, and it's very rare to see improvement at a steady pace. Some do not improve at all yet post art like somebody gives a shit about them.
Why are the majority of them not conscious about this? Are they content with making shit?
>>2460800
Lets see your progress OP
>>2460800
They're drawing for fun.
>>2460803
Not op but
Are you defending these shitlords?
I'm struggling to find some overarching goal for my art that doesn't have to do with improving. I mean like a goal that puts me in a really desirable situation.
I know I want to be a digital artist. I know that for sure. I originally wanted to work for an AAA game company, maybe Bethesda, Blizzard, etc. but I slowly realized it's not actually that great and living in Southern California's shithole sounds like a bad time.
But I really want to picture myself doing something pretty cool in order to have long-term motivation. Dave Rapoza has a cool gig where he works on movie advertising by doing art for it. Some people are in gigs where they work on card art and other traditional game media.
Any ideas? Just need anything to spark me right now.

Develope your own IP and make money purely from that
>>2463976
IP is pretty vague my man
I have zero game design knowledge nor any intention to make a game if that's what you mean, sounds way too complicated
>>2463979
What do you spend most of your day doing ?
Visual Novels aren't too hard to build.
I'm a programmer so I don't know if I can say anything you'd like though.
Like, the shittiest but most profitable digital art is in website design. Take some wordpress templates, slap them together with good design and an easily exploitable framework.
Easy 2,000-5,000 dollars.
Can I get some critique and judgement on my drawings? I started drawing seriously about a week ago, please tell me everything you can. Be rude and stuff
My bad

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

We have a lot of infighting on this subreddit. I think it's high time we go to the basics of social learning, kindergarten. So I/C whats you're favourite colours?
white girl nipple is my favorite color
Anus blush.
Rape yellow.
Does anyone go to any?

its all there is where I live, It's hard for me to get into contemporary art rarely I see something that impresses me or comes to my liking.
I usually just imaging what was gong through the artists mind when making their art piece and thinking why
>>2463431
I can't seem to find any near me. I went to emerge in DC a few years ago, and I loved the idea of each hotel room being like a portal into an artist's mind. Some just hung their work, some transformed the space or fit their work within it. It was eerie, like crossing in and out of universes.
I want to experience that again.

There's an opera festival in my town every year and a lot of art fairs happen around that time. They don't have great turnouts usually and there's a lot of boring Sunday painter landscapes and stuff, but you can always expect to see something creative and interesting, and count on a few rich foreign people who've come to see the operas to buy a painting or two for their 16th sitting room.
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, since I've never done this before, but I recently decided to open up commissions. Since I'm just starting out with this, I started the prices of low and decided to build them up over time. So, get them well they're hot, I suppose!

Pic related - it's a sample piece
why would a board of artists want to commission another artist
why not just do it myself for free

Hi /ic/,
I m curious to know your opinion about urban art
>>2463148
Overrated garbage.
It usually boils down to two categories:
1. Crudely drawn cartoons and letters that would get zero attention if drawn on paper.
2. Left-wing propaganda, usually in the form of stencils.
Love it, street art, graffiti, stenciling, wheatpaste, anything the anarchist's cookbook can teach you to do. I'm all for it.
I hate Banksy tho, and shepard fairey is kind of pushing it as well, lately.
A lot of the street art community are just special snowflakes trying to pose as Anonymous-type figures who think they're better than everyone else.
And I'm sure I'm not the only one whose sick of new kids trying to be cool and edgy by calling everyone a sheep to "the capitalist machine". so nowadays i'm more interested in graffiti.
If you want to watch a documentary, i highly recommend Piece by Piece

Conor Harrington?
Decided I'd share with you guys my art work. Critique on how I can make them better.
You like Giger don't you?
I need help. It's in the early stages but idk.
Are there any artists in here who are struggling to get their works discovered?
You mean 90% of /ic/?
>>2463045
Like the kind of artists who don't get noticed because nobody gives a shit about their works no matter how much people think you're really good and talented.
>>2463044
I'm so underground that I'm thinking of actually going the opposite direction and trying to be ultra unknown and actually making a name for myself that way. no social media, no tumblr, no anything. just my domain, and email interactions with clients.
maybe that gives me a little mystery bonus.
