There is this speculation about the bible that arise when I think about the evolution of travel. That is cartography. The interesting part is that Old maps depict the northen half of middle earth (mediterranean) shaped like an open snake's mouth and has a protruding split tongue (italy).

So one wonders if the bible was enhanced to include Zoroastrianism ideology including virgin birth, resurrection, holy ghost etc to hide something that was looked upon as shameful at that time. Talmud writings tell that Jesus was the illegitimate son of a Roman Soldier called Tiberius Julius Abdes Panthera and that Jesus escaped to India when his life was threatened.

Yes, it exist at least on personal level of self-imposed restrictions. Society can't really push everyone to acting honorable because there is no agreement what is truly honorable way to act.

First point, the buddhist centers served as meeting points between civilizations across. They included trade of material goods and wealth of knowledge and culture.
