There's some truth and a lot more half truth to this post. West Africa was still up shit creek, unlike what you claim. East Africa, on the other hand, was doing well for itself. The Swahili Coast almost singlehandedly bankrolled the West Indian textile trade and built nearly all of the dhows the Arabs and Indians used to sail. Subsistence agriculture was quite the norm with Congolese or Ugandan slaves used as labor. The males of the household would then take up wage labor jobs on cross-continent caravans only to return during planting and harvest season. Whites didn't really do anything to destroy this, however. Germany, for example, altered the nature of wage labor in modern Tanzania according to local customs in order to exploit it rather than destroying it altogether. What damaged the local customs were the insistence upon cash crop agriculture rather than subsistence, as well as exorbitant tax levies, which led to an armed revolt that was harshly put down and followed by famine as the subsistence agriculture had all but faded away.

Doubtfully as much as WWII, probably on similar lines to Korea (though you couldn't really call Korea a victory considering the country was partitioned).

But why?
Every fucking space agency needs to fucking get together and fucking transform into a massive space agency and then we can finally conquer the fucking Galaxy. First we need a world language, preferably English because the scientists need to speak to each other and I speak English and Chinese people are fucking annoying. We exclude every single country in Africa because well it's Africa. South America can also fuck off. Imagine what these space agencies could do if they worked together and not separately. Obviously we would need a massive space elevator first to not use all of our resources on fuel. That way we can send it up the space elevator and perform expire men's in space without having to spend millions/billions every time we go up.

I don't really understand the reference to Theodicy on paragraphs 67 - 69 from Monadology.
I have searched several editions and the reference usually appears as something along the lines of (T. preface 40; 44) or yet
(Theod. Pref. [E. 475 b; 477 b; G. vi. 40, 44].), even though the preface only appears to have 37 unnumbered paragraphs.
I imagine it's not a reference to the "Preliminary Dissertation On The Conformity Of Faith With Reason", considering that, when it is the case, the reference is more explicit - as in paragraph 26 ((T. Preliminary dissertation § 65)).
I would be extremely glad if anyone could help me.
